Service - 3/5 - fine service, nothing remarkable. Ambiance - 4/5 - chill vibe with live music. Overall - 4/5 - place turned out to be much better than anticipated. Food was incredibly tasty, good variety, and fine portions. Smashed potatoes and lamb sliders were awesome. Service was fine, fast but nothing beyond that. Ambiance was nice with the live music. Although could've been some breaks here or there with it, it created a nice spot. Would definitely return. Best Dish - Smashed potatoes and lamb sliders Would Return - Definitely

Super Fantastic food!…read more From the outside kind of looks like laid back casual taco spot! Inside very causal yet cool surfer vibe. Service and margaritas were great. Not fancy! Laid back, casual! The menu and what came out of the kitchen was exceptional and "5" worthy alone. We had some sushi grade tuna tacos with crispy wonton style shells. The tacos were dressed with all the right flavors and additions you would expect from a top sushi joint. Excellent! We also had Moroccan spiced lamb sliders! Wow good! Perfect! Go to the Gig Shack just to get this! 100% worthy the trip. Id say the menu is somewhat surfer-fusion with California taco influence. There are lots of options. We are glad we tried Gig Shack and will return. Highly recommended casual, cool vibe location, with fantastic food!

Was a little disappointed in the steak teriyaki though. I should have remembered from ordering before but whomever the chef is, they like to load up the Tupperware with so much sauce it's like a soup. Drenching the vegetables under the steak. I wound up pouring out all that liquid to eat the vegetables. Although Ib think someone bought an excess of zucchini and not enough carrots as there seemed to be more zucchini and very few carrots and broccoli. The zucchini was cut into LARGE pieces which made it hard to eat. I like the restaurant so still 4 stars and the food is tasty. Just wish they would use less sauce and better cut/prep the vegetables.

We then asked what the soup containted and asked if they had wonton soup and didn't know that it was Chinese and not Japanese. The guy on the phone got very offended and hung up on us before we finished asking our question of what types of soup they had. Do not recommend ordering here if you're english is not 100% good nor if you're not 100% white. They discriminate so much here. This happened at 7:50pm on August 11th, 2026.

The patio outside is really clean and comfy, and it's a great spot to have lunch. What really caught my attention was the Peking Duck Quesadilla , it was AMAZING. The flavors all worked so well together, and I would definitely order it again. One thing that was a bit of a problem was that it was kind of hard to eat, everything kept falling apart, but it was so good that it didn't really matter. We got a bunch of other things too, like General Tso's Chicken, coconut rice, crab rangoons, coconut shrimp, and a shrimp sushi roll. everything was really good and fresh. The coconut rice was a great side dish, and the crab rangoons were gone in no time. The drinks were also really good, One thing though, they didn't put a lot of liquor in them, but they were still fun to drink. Our server was really great, and did a fantastic job, especially since we had a big group of 12 people. We get that it can be tough to handle a table that size. The only problem we had was with the timing of the food. Some of us got our appetizers and main courses before the others had even gotten their appetizers. It wasn't a huge issue, but it's something the kitchen could work on to make sure big groups feel like they're eating together. It would be great if they could improve that, so everyone can enjoy their meal at the same time. I would definitely go back to TigerFish. It's a great choice if you want something different from the usual Block Island food. They have really tasty food, great drinks, and a nice quiet atmosphere.

We visited midweek, so it was fairly quiet. The restaurant is conveniently located just a short walk from the ferry and offers plenty of seating, both indoors and outdoors. Service was fast, friendly, and especially helpful when it came to identifying which menu items were vegan or could be modified, which we really appreciated. We ordered the B.Y.O. Tofu Spring Rolls and the Pork Potstickers. Both appetizers were generously sized. The spring rolls were fresh and flavorful, but having to assemble them myself at the table was a bit messy and took away from the enjoyment. I would have preferred them to come fully prepared. That said, they were still quite tasty. The pork potstickers, on the other hand, were a standout and an easy favorite of the meal. One downside was that the doors were open to enjoy the beautiful weather, but that also meant we were battling flies throughout our meal, which was a little distracting. Overall, Tigerfish was a great find with good food, knowledgeable service, and a convenient location. Despite a couple of minor drawbacks, we enjoyed our visit and will definitely return on a future trip to Block Island.

For apps we started with the oysters and the escargo in gruyere cheese which were both fantastic and fresh. Dinner wise I opted for the Philly cheese special and let me tell ya, this can compete with the best of them. It was a triple meat sandy sautéed in a cheese blend on a fresh hero; it was so large I split it. Wine list was nice and ambiance is rather casual but not fully dress down. Id recommend reservations unless you want to sit at the bar, which is another nice option. Definitely recommend.

The seats were a hair uncomfortable but maybe that's because I'm older, no seat or back cushion though. I could not be hear without cupping by hand behind my ear and I needed to talk a bit loud to be heard. :-( Great news for my group--I really had nothing notable to say and was not in the mood to hear about how their Kid or grandkids got an A+ in coloring or naming shapes. The service was ok--not great. We waited a long time to get out check and became more tired than we were motivated to order dessert...so we gave our credit card as soon as we got the check and hightailed out of there. The escargot was not our cup of tea--they had anise and cheese in the l recipe and we just did not like it. We complained and they magnanimously took them off the check. the baked clams were very good. They had just the right amount of herbs and seasoning and were of perfect consistency. I could have eaten a dozen myself! That said just be aware that they come in an order of three (3) so if you are coming with a larger party it might be a good idea to take a count of whoever wants it over parentheses (n) and then multiply by 2 and divide by three so you order enough orders. Orders = (nx2)/3 The crab Caroline salad was a show stopper--absolutely delicious. It's a huge bowl portion that's very sharable. Tasty dressing and substantial lump crab with fresh and crispy greens. The bacon was a bit dry and under seasoned but holy cow was the slab thick and big! If I come back I might ask them to chop it up and put it in the Caroline crab salad--if I can remember! The sirloin steak was very good. I asked the for a "char of all chars" and they did not disappoint! It was seasoned just fine, and tender enough when I cut thinner slices. It was quite good. I'd get it again. The BV potatoes looked great and had a very nice crisp to them. They really could have used a ton less oil and a bit more seasoning. Way too oily from a technical point of view. Not sure if they used butter or not. The creamed spinach was excellent. Perfect amount of cream and steaming hot---might have been helped with a hair more garlic. So, the food was a solid 4 besides the potatoes, escargot and bacon which were between 2, 2 and 3 respectively. The service, lighting and acoustics fell short but were not bad--just not good and probably not average. Overall I'd give them a solid 3+. I go back year after year so suggest people go! Try it!

When you make a…read morereservation online, you get to choose your beach chair location so I picked 2 chairs closest to the beach which were available. In fact, almost all of the chairs were available at that time. Our reservation was for 11am. We were one of the first people to arrive and the hostess (who was not very friendly) seated us in 2 beach chairs that were the furthest from the beach in the last row. When I told her I had reserved two chairs up front she told me the computer had made an error with the resy and every other chair was reserved, even though every chair was empty. So we began to set up our stuff and one of the chairs was cracked. We told the hostess we wanted to swap chairs, and we got attitude. Then she told us that our server didn't start until 11:30 so we could order something then. At one point we tried to get a couple bottles of water but ultimately had to wait for our server. Service was very slow to start and it took over an hour to get our waters. Our server, Hamilton, worked his butt off all day. He was raking the beach, putting up umbrellas, taking orders and he was very friendly. Our food came out quickly and it was just ok. The pina coladas were good. We waited to see if the beach chairs would fill up, but they never did. A few people came and left. When the hostess seated one couple she told them that they were nice to her so she was being nice to them and giving them a good spot. My two stars are for the beach, which is beautiful and Hamilton. The hostess needs to be nicer and more accommodating.
