I was very surprised how lovely if not the loveliest brewery I've seen so far. Lots of whatever cold beer and cocktails you can think of. It's souped up with leather sofas, fans blowing all around or aircon, arts on walls, great lighting all around the place with multiple wide screen tvs from top to bottom floors. It's well decorated and I love places like this. I heard it's great for parties upstairs, billiard tables are avail but reservations are required. I heard... There's a food truck outside during my first visit. The best part, dogs are welcome! Great service and it's very clean. So, I Had a flight of a few and they were all pretty good the Coconut Stout, Jasmine Wheat and Orange Is the New White really stood out but like I said they were all pretty good there wasn't one that I didn't like I'll come back for sure to try the rest and some of the same again.. Great brews, fun atmosphere, dog friendly, pin ball, pool table, and good vibes. I enjoyed my stay at this brewery and the fine selection of drinks on tap. The Moon Tower Stout was my absolute favorite. Smooth without that nitro after taste. The Dang! IPA was good, and I was surprised to find their Red at a 5.8% ABV. This place is a class act! From the products served to the staff. My best friend and I have been coming here as our spot for over a year. They know his name, my name, and my dog's name (Luna, my lab loves it here as well). I have had the chance to meet some really sweet folks here, of different walks of life, ages, the tone here is so wonderful, welcoming, pleasant, I will bring my parents when they come to visit. It is comforting to know that during COVID, I can come here and feel safer than I would other places. The staff has taken the well being of their patrons to heart and adheres to the CDC regulations and guidelines. Pay no mind to the ranting "Karen" who could not follow simple rules. Quality stuff! Lots of seating, super friendly staff, and of course,AWESOME beer. The winter ale and Belgian style tripel are my favorites.. but I hear praises for the citrus IPA too. The rotating food trucks is a fun perk, constantly changing up the food means we never get bored here (beer menu also has seasonals!) so this is a winner forever! They post the trucks for the day as well as a schedule so if you have your favorites you can plan your trip. You can also bring in food if that's your thing. I'm not a dog person, but the resident dog is so calm and friendly; I don't mind. I see people with their dogs enjoying the dog-accommodations like dog treats and water bowls. The random dog fight or barking match is annoying; but hey, as long as they calm down. One particular incident went on for a bit and the owner came up to (politely) tell them to calm their dog or he'd have to leave. Which I really appreciated. I don't mind quiet dogs that don't bother me! Parking is pretty good, but we always walk. Nothing much else to it; go here!! Watch a game, catch up with friends, or grab a quick bite. AWESOME SPOT! Nestled on Lake City is a great beer spot! And even better it's close to our apartment! Hellbent serves some delicious beer. I liked their lavender saison, raspberry wheat beer and warm fuzzies winter ale. I've never had a lavender beer before and it had a nice hint of lavender not too overpowering where it tastes funny. The winter ale was light and the raspberry had a generous taste of raspberry. Don't worry it's not too sweet. They also serve cider and wine if you don't fancy beer. Their space is two stories so there's ample seating. We snagged the couches and played card games while enjoying our booze. They have a selection of beers. If you're hungry they have food trucks. The spacious inside is seasonally appropriate with some Halloween decor as we move into October, and there's both indoor and outdoor seating. I got a flight of four tasters- blackberry cider, cranberry cider, Funky Red Patina Red Ale, and Capo's Choice Amber. The one that stood out the most though was the Cranberry Cider, so much that I went back and got a full glass. Didn't have a chance to check out the food truck, but will be doing so as I definitely intend on returning. Great place. read more

I love this place. This is my Cheers. The staff have continually been amazing and support friendly to both me and my dog Archie. Archie even gets super excited every time we drive into the parking lot. I love the food truck selections that come by, it really helps keep things fresh for flavor. My favorite house beers are their Belgians but most of my friends really love their IPAs. It is also one of the best environments in the north end of Seattle as well. Five star service. Five star beers. Five star environment. My only real complaint has nothing to do with hellbent itself but if you are shy of large overly loud crowds of people stay away on husky and cougar game days. read more

I awoke my long-dormant yelp account specifically to come and give these guys 5 stars! A coworker invited me to come for grilled cheese (from a local food truck that parks in their lot once weekly) and beer to celebrate her birthday and it was obvious pretty quickly that I'd be coming back! The beer is great, and there's an awesome selection, as well as non-alcoholic drinks if that's your mood. One beer, one cider, and two bottles of coke totaled $16.50, which is pretty darn reasonable, especially compared to going out on Capitol Hill or even in Ballard or SLU. The capper, though, was when I went to close my tab and banged my knee on a bolt on the bottom of the table. When I asked for a wet napkin to clean up my bleeding knee, the bartender sat me down, left, and returned with gloves and first aid kit and bandaged up my knee- even asking if, 1. he had my permission to touch my leg, and 2. if I had any clotting problems or thought I may need stitches. I was really impressed with the genuine apology I received for their unsafe tables, (I'm just a klutz!), and them making sure that I was okay. Most bartenders would've have given me a napkin and let me deal with it. These guys gave great service - beers and Band-Aids! read more

This has been my go to place for beer in the area since they opened, but especially during the pandemic. Excellent protocols, clearly posted for customers and followed by staff make for a pleasent outing. One of the top breweries in Seattle, with a stable of regular offerings and a constant rotation of one off selections as they work to fine tune their next anniversary beer! Well mannered dogs are always welcome. I admit that I've had a couple of issues over the years but nothing so serious that I would trash the place over a seating issue at 7 on a Friday night Jami. BTW, they do reserve tables on request (just not during COVID). Forget the comments about the place being too loud, one night a year does not justify sour grapes neighbors who declined to join the party and instead chose to vent online that a local small business would dare to celebrate another successful year. This place is wonderful, they have everything you could want in a brewery. A nice bar with an awesome overlook upstairs that has one billiards table, one darts game, and several other pinball/shooting games. Lots of couches, tables and a small stage for little performances. Everything is clean and brand new - the atmosphere overall is great with a lot of wrought iron and wood. The beer is inexpensive and tastes good to me, though I'm no expert. Great new brewery in Lake City. Love the vibe inside and their patio is insane, it could just do with some corn hole and it'd be perfect! The service was good on the Sunday when we came in right after they opened for the day. They weren't very friendly, except to their friends that came in, but not rude either. The beer, yep it's on point. The Jasmine Hefe was interesting, kinda floral, and really good. The stout delivered, and the IPA was the tops! My husband and I have visited you multiple times in a 2 week period and are starting to feel like we need an intervention! We don't even live near you! What is it that brings us back? First and foremost, the staff... you guys are so damn nice. The rest in no particular order... rotating food trucks, HELLO?! Brilliant! We'll never tire of your bar food menu! And who doesn't love a food truck? Especially one that slings pot pies or grilled cheese sandwiches, good god. The brewery itself is really great! It's clean, beautifully detailed and super comfy! Big tvs, couches, two floors, big tables for groups, outdoor seating, etc. Pinball, darts, pool, board games... always appreciated! Looking around the room last night (a sea of loyal followers, that's for sure!) I noticed something... everyone was happy. People were casually mingling, getting cozy on couches, sipping their delicious beers and relaxing. There is no dress code, no expectations.. just a true gathering spot. The are also very dog friendly. The only downside ( not there fault ) parking is limited. But you can park on the street too. read more

Love their house IPA, but also all their rotating IPAs have been stellar! The ambiance is awesome. Beautiful interiors, the lighting fixtures are great. Their outdoor patio is such a gem and a favorite summer hangout. The rotating food trucks are soooo good. The staff at Hellbent are truly one of a kind and they are always so nice and helpful. This is a trendy, friendly spot in an area that is not yet trendy but wants to be the next Georgetown! I wandered in one afternoon to see if they had any food. They don't serve any, and it was too early for the rotating food trucks to be there (I think they come around 5:30). It's true that they allow well-behaved dogs (not really a positive in my book, but whatever), and the bartender was really friendly and was very passionate about beer and cider. He explained about their guest taps, etc. The small parking lot is a good thing - don't drink and drive, right? We recently moved to the area and were trying to find some great local breweries to hang out at. Hellbent checked all of our boxes: it's clean, tons of wonderful beer choices, friendly and quick staff and it's dog friendly. The only drawback for me was that they didn't really have any super funky or new age brews on tap. Would be interested to see if they have anything funky in the works.
