Jaxx W. is full of crap. Her noisy little dog yipped at a painful pitch over and over again, until the very patient staff asked her to take her dog outside. She brought the dog back inside repeatedly. The dog was so loud its ceaseless yipping disrupted conversation. The staff was patient but consistently asked that its stated 'no barking' policy - with which most dogs and their people comply - be respected. Hellbent is a great place with great staff. I am a regular customer (and I do not recall seeing Jaxx W. and her four-legged noisemaker in here before). The beer is good, the service is good. P.S. if they had table service - either inside or outside - the neer would by necessity cost more. read more

Very impressed with this new spot on the extensive Seattle brewery map. We tried the spring ale, red, and IPA and loved all of them. Food truck Mesob was stationed out back, so we tried the combo plate and felt satisfied! (Not our fave kind of food but not bad either.) Being dog lovers it is great to see the relaxed attitude about furry friends here. We're thrilled Hellbent has decided to invest in Lake City and will definitely be return clientele! read more

I like the interior, its cozy. The staff works hard and is efficient. The beer is very good. Ill admit that the reason we go is because of the great food trucks, and of course, the beer. But mostly the food trucks. And particularly the food truck on Thursday, Nosh. The most excellent fish and chips we've ever had. This place is the greatest. Instead of serving bad bar food, (nachos, skins, wings), they leave the food up to rotating trucks. We had the best fish and chips. At $10 the price was reasonable for unreasonable Seattle. My husband ordered a small pale ale and said it was good but not his favorite. He should of ordered another type. Seating under umbrellas provided, as well as indoor seating. What a find!! read more

We really loved this place because we could bring our dog in. We've tried going back since but it's been soooooo busy around the rush hour time that we just turned around and left. It can be loud, like most it's basically just four walls with a bar, no sound dampening decor or the such. They have pool tables upstairs but we didn't ask how to go about getting one. We saw random board games scattered around the tables. There is a food truck outside which was pretty decent that day... burgers and brussels Caesar style. They let you bring food inside. I was hesitant of the quality of the beer, at first, just because the growler fills are $10! (for their own beer), but I quickly realized they have some amazing stuff. The staff was super friendly and let me try everything I asked for, because I was filling 5 growlers for Thanksgiving. We love the laid back, relaxed environment. There is a wide variety of seating available, from high top tables, couches, 4-6 person tables, bar seating etc. You must be a dog lover, as this place welcomes pups almost as equals to their human customers. They have a great outdoor patio that hosts rotating food trucks, which brings new excitement to each visit. There are many TV's, board games, a pool table, and pinball machines, which allows for something fun for you to do no matter who you are! I almost hate to help expose this hidden gem of Lake City, as I want it to stay a secret, but they deserve all the recognition they can get. read more

They are rude and disrespectful, they don't handle things very professional and why would they have a dog event when they have a stupid no barking rule. The guy behind the bar on June, 24 2017 today was a major ####### and he handled the situation poorly and unprofessionally. I think that guy needs to be let go or something to help this business. I and all my friends and since I am also a public figure (which this is my personal account) I will be making sure to let 1000s of people know about this place on how rude they are and how they don't handle things professionally. Since this is my first review, I'll only give it a 4 because you never really know what a 5 is like until you've had one and then everything else is thrown off by 1. But let me say right away this place is great. I've had 2 of their 7 own beers (both great drinkable brews) and 1 of 10 guest taps. All and all, a great showing of delicious brews from this joint only open for 7 weeks. There is food too! A rotating endless supply of food trucks arrive daily. Today its a vegan yuktruck. I had the beer battered avacado tacos. It was surprisingly good despite the lack of beer battered fish. An entire delicious ripe avacado was used in my life tacos for 9 bucks. It was better than good. But it is so good it reminded me of a joke... if a vegan farts in the woods and a tree and a butterfly flaps it's wings and that vegan tells you about any of it, NOBODY CARES!!!! read more

We just had our co-ed baby shower here. It. Was. Amaaaaaaaazing. It was the perfect venue. We had a pretty large group, about 50 people. We were able to reserve the whole upstairs which has so much seating. Tables and stools along with cute seating areas of couches and chairs. It didn't feel crowded at all. They were so accommodating. The extra bonus was we obviously love there beer and our friends do too!! They also have wine available for non beer drinkers which was also super nice. Cannot say enough good things! The beer is hard to beat. I've visited+rated every brewery in Seattle (don't ask) and I consider Hellbent among our city's finest IPA purveyors. Their space is large and multifaceted. The reason I can't give them five stars is that they missed up to 3 opportunities to place a TV within my line of sight. Whether I'm upstairs/downstairs/inside/outside I usually got a TV. But if facing north, along the rail of the upstairs area... NO TV. Ditto the men's bathroom. Disappointing, to say the least. read more

Better hurry though because the writing is on the wall: great beer, good prices, excellent staff, fun atmosphere, and no pretension. This is my favorite pub. It's dog friendly, affordable, has a friendly staff, and always has a great selection of beer and cider. It can get pretty crowded in the evening, but I can't blame them for being popular. Fun place! Great selection of beer and the staff are always ready to help with any suggestions you might need. I love that you can order right at the front of the bar and not have to wait until the bartenders look at you and make eye contact. They allow dogs here so there are always furry friends to meet. Lots of seating and there's an upper alcove that you can rent tables for if you'd like a private event. There are a couple of pinball machines up top and a pool table to play at as well as some board games. You are allowed to bring food in and there a food truck available on some nights. Parking is a little hard to find as the lot is small but there is street parking available too. read more
