My experience with Mazda Renton was great, and it sure won't be my last time coming in! Definitely a repeat after this experience. Behind it all, I have a unique situation and I had went to, Burien Nissan, Honda Of Sumner, Subaru of Auburn and Bud Clary of Auburn. All of them wanted to put me in a vehicle with over 100k miles etc and with 10k down, now they are lost of words when I had told all four of the dealerships that Mazda of Renton had Financed me with a fraction of the 10k requested down. With that being said, my payments and interest rates are a quarter of what all 4 dealerships wanted me to sign onto.

Very disappointed with this service department…read more My wife brought in her Mazda CX-5 and was given an estimate of over $11,000 in recommended repairs and maintenance. After reviewing the quote, several items appeared to be significantly overpriced. One example was an $82 charge to replace the cabin air filter. We purchased the filter ourselves for around $10 and replaced it in just a few minutes. What concerned us even more was being told that the vehicle was essentially on its last legs and needed extensive work. Fortunately, we decided to get a second opinion before moving forward. Another reputable shop reviewed the same vehicle and quoted approximately $3,000 to address the legitimate issues that actually needed attention. I understand dealerships typically charge more than independent mechanics, but the difference between $11,000 and $3,000 is impossible to ignore. Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage anyone receiving a large repair estimate here to get a second opinion before authorizing any work. Immediately after receiving that estimate, we were met by a salesman who recommended we trade in the car and cut our losses. We left feeling pressured, misled, and with very little trust in the recommendations we were given.

We worked with Joaquin Sheckler. They had the right color and model we were looking for. It was less than the same car from multiple other dealers by a bit. So we worked the deal and drove home in a new Trailseeker. It was a good experience overall factoring in Gabriel's and Kelly's help and I highly recommend working with them if you're looking for a new or used car. Kelly was amazing - 5 and thanks for helping and taking time to get a few things handed. Gabriel is a Rockstar - 5 we appreciate your help throughout the whole process. Joaquin - jury is still out.

Save yourself the frustration and avoid Rairdon's Subaru of Auburn…read more On September 27, I called ahead regarding a 2014 Subaru Outback. The salesperson confirmed directly with both the General Manager and Sales Manager, Michael Choi, that the vehicle was available on a "first-come, first-served" basis, as a prior interested party had no deposit or active agreement. I arrived at 1:30, completed a test drive, agreed to the purchase price and to buy the vehicle by 2:15. The salesperson then requested Michael Choi initiate the purchase paperwork. I checked on the status of the paperwork at 3:00 and was told Choi was "trying to smooth things over" with the previous interested party because they were upset the car was being sold. Then at 3:15, we were suddenly informed the dealership would not sell us the car because the other party was en route. When questioned, Michael Choi falsely claimed the other party had a deposit (which makes no sense, why would he need to "smooth things over" if they already had a deposit and the car wasn't available?) Choi then produced paperwork that explicitly confirmed the prior deal was unwound, rescinded, no funds were held, and no agreement existed. Despite his own dealership's documentation proving the car was unreserved, Choi refused to honor our agreed purchase and denied ever confirming its availability that morning. When confronted with these contradictions, Choi leaned forward aggressively and stated, "I don't care if I sell that car. It's just a pile of metal to me." It became blatantly obvious that Choi kept us sitting in the showroom for an hour under the pretense of preparing our paperwork while he used our deal as leverage to get the other party to add $1,000 to the purchase. Although Rairdon's Customer Satisfaction Manager asked me to delay posting, potential buyers deserve to know how this dealership operates. Management uses deceptive statements, unethical sales tactics, and exhibits severe unprofessionalism. Take your business elsewhere.

About half way to the dealership the salesman had called and said that he "wanted to make sure we'd have our business by the end of the day" and went on to essentially manipulate us into doing business with him. The whole interaction from the start with this dealership seems a little shady and I wouldn't send my family or friends their direction. I am writing this review to warn other customers about my experience at Toyota of Renton…read more I went to Toyota of Renton for a routine visit, and during that time they told me they tested my car battery and said it was failing and needed immediate replacement. Based on their diagnosis, I was advised that the battery was at risk and should be replaced. Trusting their professional opinion, I immediately went to Costco and purchased a new battery. Since my original battery was still under warranty, I returned it to Costco for a refund. However, Costco tested my old battery in front of me, and the results showed the battery was in good condition. They tested it two more times, and all results confirmed the battery was good. To be absolutely sure, I also took the battery to a separate independent repair shop, and again, the battery tested normal with no issues. I later returned to Toyota of Renton to speak with the service manager. The only response I received was a printed battery test result from them. There was no explanation, no accountability, and no resolution, despite clear evidence from multiple independent tests showing the battery was fine. I have kept all printed test reports as documentation, which clearly show conflicting results between Toyota of Renton and multiple other professional testers. This experience caused me unnecessary stress and wasted time, and it seriously damaged my trust in this dealership's service department. I strongly advise other customers to be cautious and seek a second opinion before approving any repairs or replacements here. I will not return to Toyota of Renton in the future.
