I've waited almost a week to write this review, because I was frustrated after our experience and…read morewanted some time to think about it. Last Saturday, my partner spoke with Jim about a Honda Civic. Jim asked my partner to speak with John, who was in the office that day. When we arrived, John was incredibly friendly. He kept referring to my partner as "my friend," and showed us pictures of his recent trip to Ireland. He also immediately started talking to my partner as if the purchase of the car was a done deal. He accompanied us on a test drive of the vehicle. During the test drive, John mentioned taking the car onto the freeway, but then directed my partner back to the office after driving right down the street, circling a lot, and then driving back. When we arrived back at the office, John pulled out some paperwork and gave it to my partner. Again, he was acting as if the transaction was a done deal. When we started trying to negotiate with him, everything changed. "My friend" went straight out the window, his smile turned into a frown, and he said to us twice that he wouldn't have had us come all the way down there if he had known that we were going to try to negotiate. What car dealership expects customers to purchase a vehicle without negotiation? I had to bite my tongue to keep from telling him that he didn't have us come down there, and that we chose to come take a look at the vehicle. At one point, he pulled the old "let me go talk to my boss" routine and stepped outside for a few minutes. When he returned, he refused to negotiate. Needless to say, we did not purchase the vehicle. And also needless to say, we do not recommend this business.

I have a hard time giving this company a perfect 5.0 review, but they did do a good job and I…read morewanted to write about my experience. I recently went to look at a 4Runner from them. I arrived to a shop that looked like an abandoned building, but inside was filled with beautiful classics. I'm only talking about this so that if anyone in the future decides to look into this company ahead of time, just know you are in the right spot when you pull up to a white, abandoned-looking building. Here's what this place did great, and here's where they went wrong: Right off the bat, when I walked in the door, they had the carfax report on the table and were very open about the 2 crashes the car had been in. I appreciated that. This 4Runner I was looking at also happened to have extensive documented maintenance, that was prepared and on the table for me to view when I walked in. We then took this 4Runner out to the shipyards near magnolia where I was given free rein to drive it around. This 4Runner was a manual. The clutch was seriously wrong, and it was noticeable. It did not have transmission issues, but the clutch pedal was not effective and it was tough to drive, so it was noticeable. We drove it around for a little bit and headed back to the shop where I sat down to look at the maintenance records they had available. This particular 4Runner had a lot of clutch work done, so I was concerned. I brought it up to Alex, and he recommended to take the 4Runner into their shop to get it fixed before they were to sell it. That was much appreciated. They didn't try to shrug me off and move on to another customer and try to sell a broken 4Runner for $14k to the next customer, they stopped, addressed the problem, and tried to move on. In my opinion, that's how business should be done. Kudos Here's where I believe they went wrong. They were trying to sell a 4Runner with 90% of the factory options for the price of a 4Runner that had 100% of the factory options. When you go on used car markets elsewhere, you could find that exact car for $8500-10k easily because nobody wants a 4Runner without all the 4x4 factory options. To make things worse, they were trying to sell that 4Runner with clutch issues. In my opinion, that is not how you do business. They had already taken the time to do repairs on the 4Runner ahead of time, the clutch pedal should've been addressed prior to listing or the price should've been lowered. I wish this team the best of luck selling that 4Runner, and I wish you luck on finding a car that's right for you. If you decide to come here, make sure to ask for Alex. He's about as stand up as a dealership salesman can come. I will still recommend this shop to anyone looking for specifics. To me, this shop appears to only buy specific cars that are in high demand due to rarity, price, etc. so they might have what you're looking for. I should also add that even though they had some questionable ethics, this shop was the most honest dealership I've been to in the last 3-4 weeks and I've been inside 7 different shops across the Seattle area this month. P.s. I ended up buying a truck of Facebook marketplace. I went to this shop with the intention of buying the 4Runner, but was turned off by them asking $13,900 for a 4Runner without the factory lockers and with clutch issues. You can find the same 4Runner on Facebook marketplace for anywhere between $8,500-10k because nobody wants a 4x4 4Runner without the factory lockers.

Our Experience With Dinsmore Auto Group-…read more Holly & Andrew Ball 2020 Jeep Sahara- We purchased a 2020 Jeep Sahara from Dinsmore Auto Group on 3/28/2025, and unfortunately, our experience has been deeply disappointing from the very beginning. We strongly recommend that anyone considering a purchase from this dealership take the time to read customer reviews carefully. What we experienced aligns with many of the unfortunate concerns already shared by others. Same pattern of behavior . We also attempted to address these issues directly with their upper management by emailing the General Manager Austin Dinsmore. That message received no response on any concerns we had with the process from start to finish. Which speaks volumes about the dealership's approach to customer concerns and post‑sale accountability. Our in‑person interactions with staff reflected the same pattern: dismissive communication, a lack of basic customer service, and no willingness to engage in respectful, solution‑oriented dialogue. Outside of Jesse in the service department all other interaction had from sales, finance department and direct service manager was aggressive and lacked basic customer service standards. Key Issues We Encountered- 1.Major mechanical failure within 48 hours of purchase. The Jeep developed a significant engine issue almost immediately, despite being driven for less than four total hours since purchase. Dual head gasket replacement upper oil pan reseal. Auxiliary and main battery replacement. 2.Dismissive communication. Our concerns were treated as an inconvenience rather than a legitimate safety and reliability issue. There was no acknowledgment of how this situation impacted our family. Or options to roll back the loan to put a customer in a reliable, safe vehicle. Not once did anyone individual raise any concerns on our behalf. Would we have been okay with a different vehicle? Would we have been willing to pay more for a more reliable vehicle with no underline mechanical issues which caused the vehicle to significantly depreciate. 3.Lack of transparency about repairs. The initial repair was completed without any explanation of what failed, what was repaired before being signed off on by the customer, or whether OEM parts were used. They treated the vehicle as though it was held hostage and still theirs. 4.No post‑repair guidance. After a dual head‑gasket replacement--a major engine repair--no one provided follow‑up instructions or information about what to expect. 5 A second repair was needed due to poor attention to detail. The vehicle threw new codes within 24 hours of being returned to us, requiring another service appointment. They were specifically asked to not do any repairs until we were informed and signed off on them. They ignored this request and made so called repairs. 6.Inconsistent and inaccurate communication. Different staff members gave conflicting information throughout the process. 7.Attempt to limit our consumer rights. When we raised concerns in writing, the dealership asked us to sign a "Goodwill Service" agreement that would have limited their liability and restricted our rights under Washington State's Implied Warranty of Merchantability. This felt less like support and more like an attempt to silence legitimate concerns. This was done after the fact. When the vehicle was retrieved on the so called second repair. And backed dated to the initial mechanical failure less then 48 hours after the purchase. 8. When the customer's refused to sign this last minute attempt to silence them under significant distress. We were told no further repairs or concerns would be addressed on their behalf . Mind you they back their so called repairs with a 12,000 mile 12 month policy which they could not provide us with or clearly articulate where that was at . Or simply put that in writing on the " GOODWILL AGREEMENT " which they wish for us to sign with no recourse. We hope our experience sheds some light for future customers.

Guy never told me his name and when I asked to see the Alltrack he pointed at it and he just told us "keys are in it go take a look" then went back in to his office. After taking a minute to go over the car on my own I came back to ask about a potential trade-in and test drive, so we went out to evaluate my trade-in which came way under what Carmax/Carvana/TrueCar offered (and way under the values he was given when he researched the car on his computer, I don't think he knew I could see the screen) and I was told he doesn't do "informational test drives." What kind of dealership doesn't offer test drives of their vehicles? On top of that all the vehicles on their lot are sold as-is so there is no form of dealer warranty on any vehicles sold here. I would suggest anyone to look somewhere more reputable that offers warranties and test drives for their cars because apparently there is a serious lack of confidence here in the cars they are selling.

After visiting and trying to purchase a vehicle at well known name dealerships I found the best deal at Del Toro. Date: May 19, 2022. (sold my car here)…read more This place was one of the two businesses listed in the Kelley Blue Book's "Instant Cash Offer" when I was looking to quickly sell my car. I had an offer from CarMax already, and since it's right across the street, it's no-harm, no-foul if this business didn't have the chops to compete. Well, they did; I got $2,000 USD more from here than I did at CarMax (which was already $4,000 USD higher than Vroom, $5,000 higher than Carvana, and $3,500 USD higher than Shift), in the same day, after arriving at 3:45pm, getting all of the paperwork signed, and getting my certified check in-hand by 4:20pm (nice). The business owner and check signers sit over in the Younker Nissan office down the street, and according to the sales staff, go home around 4pm, so make sure you arrive around 3pm to properly get your vehicle tested by their sales staff. If the business owner goes home (they can single-sign a business check), then two designated check signers have to sign off for the check to be considered valid; I deposited the check on a Friday, and by Saturday it cleared, so it's legit (They seem to bank through KeyBank, for what it's worth). Also - one thing I will say - they'll lowball the price you get from the Kelley Blue Book (KBB) offer. They initially offered me $3k less than what KBB's "instant cash offer" was (and only $500 more than CarMax), so make sure you know exactly what your car is worth. I still somehow gave them a $1500 discount from the instant cash offer that KBB had given me, but I was able to get them to pay me what I believed the car was worth at the time, and go home with more than what I would have gotten by going to CarMax. Basically: if you want less of a hassle, just go to CarMax. If you go here, DO NOT TELL THEM what your offers are, since they only seem to want to profit as much as they can off of you (and it's really slimy that they do - they sold my car for which is $8k more than I sold it to them for, so why do they care about a measly $1500?) If you sell your car here, you have to still file a "Bill of Sale" online on the Washington State Department of Licensing (WSDOL) website. If you already registered your car through License eXpress, then you can pay the fee online and report the sale that way. Also remember to de-register your car on the GoodToGo! Website (if you use a toll pass), as well as remove your car from any apps that reference your old plates (such as the PayByPhone app, the Parking Kitty app, or ChargePoint / EVGo).
