GREAT CARE with Dr. Mitropoulos. She listens and cares for you. She takes her time to make sure you are comfortable, and you are heard.

The office does not have availability to see their current patients when they need to be seen within in a day or two (per the recommendation of an advice nurse). I called to make an appointment for a rash that I had and I was told by the advice nurse to make an in person appointment with MY doctor within 24 hours. I called as soon as the office opened and was told the next available appointment was over 5 days away. The person sent a message to the office to call me back to try and get me in for the next day. I waited 24 hours and never received a call back. I called as soon as the office opened the next day and was told the same thing. Cynthia (the front desk worker) called me back and informed me "All I can tell you is to go to urgent care or the emergency room. We don't have any appointments. I'm not a nurse. Just calling you back to make sure someone called you." The front office staff is extremely rude and this office exhibits horrible patient care. read more

I really like Dr. Mitropoulos. Unfortunately, I only get to see her once a year, when I'm *not* ill, and I have to run a list of issues by her. As mentioned in other reviews, she is routinely booked out months in advance. Whenever I'm experiencing illness or injury, I have to see someone else at the practice, and the continuity -- and quality -- of care vastly suffers. For example, I hurt my back at the end of January. I took an appointment with a nurse practitioner because Dr. Mitropoulos had no available appointments. I've been doing physical therapy for the last 3 months (when the prognosis was 6-8 weeks of PT), and my back and pelvis still chronically hurt. I asked to see Dr. Mitropoulos so that we could figure out what was really going on in my body. Her next opening was in August (it's currently the beginning of May). Instead, I saw a male doctor who didn't let me finish a sentence. I mentioned that I was told by the nurse practitioner that my most recent x-ray was "normal." He informed me that it wasn't normal -- that I have mild scoliosis, so that's my issue. He then said, "Lots of people live with back pain. Use a heat pad." He also advised that I don't pick up my kid (My son is 2, so that's nearly impossible.) He then gave me a referral for a pain management doctor. When I handed the referral to the receptionist to schedule the appointment, the pain management doctor didn't have an opening for TWO months. This practice has lost its mind and sense of compassion. How would any one of its employees like to be told that they can't be seen for MONTHS when they're in chronic pain? I left in tears. I felt completely discouraged and dismissed. I don't understand why they continue to accept new patients if they aren't able to accommodate the ones they already have. Between rarely getting to see my actual doctor, and being dismissed by another who I had to see in her place, I'm on the hunt for a new doctor. read more

Dr Mitropoulos is absolutely wonderful. She listens to me and is very attentive. So glad she's my PCP. :)

I made an appointment with Dr. Mirtopoulos after hearing such great things about her. I even sent two of my good friends to see her last year. When I called to make an appointment in April, I was given an appointment for July. I decided to be patient and wait it out. One week before my appointment they called and told me she's going on vacation and that her next available appointment is in October. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I, myself work at a very busy doctor's office and understand that sometimes cancellations happen. However, you should accommodate your patients when they have been waiting months to see you with health concerns. Never will I ever refer anyone to this unprofessional doctor again. read more

Dr. Mitropoulos has been my doctor since I accidentally ended up in her office after being treated at a rehab... she has always been polite and pleasant. However I am highly disappointed with her lack of skill. May 2017 I went in with an earache. I thought it was an ear infection. She looked in said, 'oh yes I see something white' and prescribed ear drops, which I religiously took. She also suggested: 'put olive oil in your ear, it will help!' Pain still there!! And now pain is beginning to spread. No olive oil for me! I call in again and make an appointment. Now it's June. I am still in pain! She looks in the ear, says she doesn't see anything and prescribes antibiotics!!! I take them religiously. Cause you're supposed to trust your doctor! The pain comes and goes, but now I have pain in my jaw. I call back... An annoyed nurse takes my number and says she will consult with the doc about my complains. I make another appointment. I go in, ask for an X-Ray. I tell her it hurts to lay on that side of the face and it feels like the pain is spreading into my brain. Her response: 'don't sleep on that side!' WHAT!!! I go home in disbelief! What a waste! I call and request a referral to see a specialist through a very annoyed nurse. Helen sends a referral to a jaw specialist! WTH! I call and request to see an ENT! I request it, not her recommending I see a specialist! All bad! ‍ While waiting for a referral to, requested by me ENT, I end up in the ER cause now pain is excruciating! Lo and behold, I am given a diagnosis of Trangeminal neuralgia! Dr. Mitropoulos has been treating my neurological condition with antibiotics, ear drops and olive oil! I have since switched groups and have seen an amazing doctor who created a treatment plan for me, already alleviating my symptoms and helping me heal! I am highly disappointed with the level of service I received by Helen Mitropoulos!! One more thing... I complained about my ankles swelling for a few years now. She never thought to check my liver and kidneys, to see if my cells are able to absorb water, or if there are any deficiencies in my blood... she said 'just lift your feet'... after my appointment with my new amazing doctor, I will be doing lots of tests to figure out the cause and get me better!!! read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Mitropoulos for close to 7 years now and she has given nothing but the best care. She listens to me, allows me to ask as many questions or raise any concerns that I may have. I never feel rushed. I also love her assistant Martha - super sweet and welcoming every time I am there. When my employer switched our insurance carrier a year or so ago, I literally almost cried at the thought of having to find another doctor that makes me feel as comfortable and cared for as Dr. Mitropoulos.
