Worst Doctor ever!!! Please don't go to her, all she does bill the insurance for your money!!! I called yesterday to get the refill for my antibiotics(she told me to call if the infection doesn't go away in 7 days), they said they will. My husband went to pick them up thinking they put the refill but there was nothing!! It's Saturday today and they are closed.... Another thing, all she kept saying it's to stop breastfeeding, it's already a year and I don't need to go for more!!! Wth who you are to told me that, and you call a Dr. If you bill my insurance for nothing you have done I'm going to sue the hell out of you... Please a stay away!!! read more

I'm not sure if this is a legit medical office or a business center... they are charging my 75 year old father $300 to complete ONE FORM (single page- 8 questions). I spoke to THE DOCTOR... Office Manger Razmik and Anita... they all said $300. Per CDSS site... this goes against Health and Safety code 123114. The office manager Razmik said he had "never heard of this policy" but it's been out since 2021. Razmik demanded I text him this policy and site information thinking I'm making things up-- I did and he said he'll call me back... never heard from him again. I advised them of this and they referred me to their little menu of prices they have ... which I so kindly took a photo for everyone. I don't care if she is a phenomenal Doctor or human being... charging $300 for 8 questions ON A PATIENT you've had for 5-6 years is diabolical and it takes away the purpose of having a legitimate medical office. read more

Avoid this doctor at all costs. Awful doctor, rude staff. The doctor is always in a big hurry and speaks with a very strong, often unintelligible accent. Her staff act like they couldn't care less about anything. Big turnoff!! I have to say, I have been in the big city LA life for over a decade, and this is my favorite doctors office yet. I'm from the Midwest and it's really hard to find a level of service where you really feel taken care of and not rushed, especially in 2025 USA. Evlyn and her staff are out of this world kind and accommodating. They really make going to the doctors stress free. They are very attentive and actually listen to and address your concerns! Stay away from this office. After I did my blood work I never heared back from them for the results so I called them many times and left them messages. I totally forgot about it till after 3months got a call from the office that the doc will call you after 3pm. So finally I spoke to her about the blood work for 2 minutes and they charged me 25 bucks for a phone call-to go over the result . 250 $ for visit and 25 for a phone call. read more

She is the BEST doctor ever! Clear communication. More important as a patient, caring, listening and explaining all problems clearly by answering all questions patiently. She recommends all good specialists if it's needed. She is very patient, listens you in detail. She never ever rushed and leave the room till not answering/addressing all of your concerns/questions, which is not common for other doctors. The office staff are very polite, friendly and really care about all patients big time. Moreover, there is no long wait time, which again is not common for other doctors from my experience. Best Doctor!! Great office assistance, been going to Dr. Avanessian for a long time. She is great.

I chose Dr. Avanessian as my primary doctor because she was near my location. I was sent to Dr. Avanessian for a follow up after a recent 3 day hospitalization for a life threatening, recurring infection. I brought all my medical records as instructed but the she didn't even look at them. I described my symptoms as best that I could but I am not a trained medical professional so I don't think she took me seriously. I tried to explain that I am infected with a anti-biotic resistant infection and asked her if she could prescribe one of the new medicines that have been designed for this purpose. She refused. She instructed me to continue with my current anti-biotic medicine. If she had have bothered to look at my file she would have known that my current anti-biotic was already finished. That is the exact reason I was there, to get an anti-biotic. I got none. I also informed her of a 10 year long very debilitating constipation problem. The doctors at the hospital told me to consult my primary doctor about it. Dr. Avanessian "prescribed" me Milk of Magnesia which of coarse is not a prescription drug in the first place. The Pharmacist could not understand why she did that and made the comment "Why is she sending this to me?" So... make your own conclusions about this experience. All I know is I am finding a new primary doctor ASAP. read more

When I first switched to blue shield of California, Evelyn was on my only choice and closest to my house. At first she was kind but then referred me to a urologist to check my condition and nothing was wrong. And, when you make an appointment with front office workers, they were incredibly rude or forgot I had an appointment with them. I would ask, "Oh, I'd like to make an appointment for my blood work results," the office attendant would say "why?", in a rude way. I don't recommend this doctor if you are looking for to get into contact with her or have difficulty making an appointment. She was nice person but the office practice isn't the best. read more

The office staff are so rude and they do not care if you are in pain or have an emergency she is my primary doctor so I first call her with my concerns and the only answer I get from her office is "go to urgent care " . they have zero empathy and understanding of your situation. I asked them if I can talk to the doctor and the answer is always "No", saying that doctor PREFERS to see you in office and still they have no early appointments obviously closing all the doors on you!!!!! and then if you ask for an excuse note for your work since you were not feeling well, they inform you that they change $50 to write an excuse note!!!!!!!!' my first time hearing this. I have never heard a doctor to charge for an excuse note for her own patient that is not feeling well. I'm so disappointed and I will definitely change my primary doctor read more

I changed to Evlyn Avanessian because I moved houses. I had my physical and she referred me to a specialist. Because she made a referral, they charged me $15. I found it very strange since my physical should have been covered by the insurance. I asked and the answer was vague. I paid for it. A year later I changed doctors because I did not find Evlyn Avanessian very nice. My new doctor did not charge me for the referral, like any other doctor before Evlyn. I feel dumb just thinking about it. I am glad I found a new doctor. read more

The doctor herself was also kind, well-informed, and answered all of my questions. I appreciated Dr. Avanessian in sharing her philosophy of medical practice with me and for giving me options regarding my shoulder and foot pain. The front office staff are very rude. Every time I go for my appointment, they never address me when I walk into the office, nor do they call me by my correct name. They have my file in hand so why they're not able to read it and say my name correctly baffles me. Dr. Avanessian is always in a rush and never seems to have time to answer any questions and when I inform her of my issues that I'm experiencing she quickly writes if off as if I'm making it up. They charge $50 for a doctor's note, which I have never heard of before. They sent me to a referral that didn't have any appointments till 3 months later so when I called back to get another referral, I was told they didn't have any other referrals to offer me. They then told me to start physical therapy while I wait to see the specialist. I couldn't get a PT appointment till 4 months later. Called back to see if they had any other PT offices I could go to and of course they didn't. Then I was told there is nothing else they can do to help me and if I'm in so much pain then I need to go to emergency. After all the run around I couldn't change my primary doctor quick enough!! read more

By far the worst PCP I have ever had in my life. I have never felt more unheard, unimportant, or uncared for. I specifically went and asked her for referrals to specialists. All she would give me was prescriptions that I told her I did not want to use. I asked for complete bloodwork, including hormones because I am a competitive bodybuilder, and when she called me about my results (3 whole days after I had received them) she told me that to check my hormone levels, I would have to go see an OBGYN for another new bloodwork order. She also went out of her way to mention that "exercise and a healthy diet will be very important" for me... I am a personal trainer who works out 6 days/week and eats only whole foods as is (which we discussed during my extremely short & rushed visit). She absolutely had NO CLUE who I was when she called me. I realize she has a lot of patients, but if she knew who she was calling perhaps she would have given me any useful advice at all. Instead, I wasted 6 weeks of my time and got NOTHING accomplished whatsoever. Starting over now from square one, 2 months later with a doctor who gives a shit and remembers their patients. read more
