After coming to terms with the fact that my wife won't be satisfied with me treating our daughter, I turned to the place I know best for a good pediatric doctor, Yelp. Dr. Rahm is not an overly busy practice where you have to wait forever and can't get an appt. His practice is nestled with 3 other private practice docs in montrose. The office is nice the staff is friendly, the technology is present. I loved the decor and peacefulness of the office and the staff. He was bright, friendly and knowledgable. The reason we left our other Doctor was we didn't have a great communication cycle with her and she was always rushed even though she did not have a very busy practice. Also she was never on time. She used too many clinical words with us and I could tell it wasn't due to the fact that I am a Doctor but because that is just how she operates. I think it is important to communicate with a patient using regular language and Dr. Rahm did just that. Having only had one experience with Dr. Rahm and it being for a wellness check up of my healthy baby, I can't comment on his diagnostic skills but the feel of the office, friendliness of the staff and friendliness of the doctor were all there. It is nice to have someone about our same age and in our same area to go to. I guess I can say since he told my wife our baby is well and she is doing a good job as a mom, it is money well spent. read more

If you're looking for an outstanding functional medicine practice, you can't beat Oasis Family Medicine. Having Yoshi Rahm as my primary care provider has been wonderful. I found him seven years ago when I was having trouble getting my thyroid balanced. I ended up doing my own research and found that he supported the ideas of the book, Stop The Thyroid Madness. I was super lucky to have him as my doctor when I got terribly sick from mold. He was the one who helped me figure out that mold was the root of the mystery illness. That was a godsend because I had been sick for two years, and the other "highly recommended" integrative doctor I was seeing did not help. Dr. Rahm has a wealth of knowledge, but he also takes questions I come up with in my own research seriously. He is humble and will admit if he doesn't know something (which isn't often). He's also very open to working together as a team, which is necessary as we are all responsible to be our own health advocates. Being able to email questions have been very helpful as well. I would like so much to give a positive review of this place, and was hoping to become a weekly patient that I so desperately need. but before I even got the chance to get a treatment in this place is place, I had such a horrible experience dealing with them and how they handle their business. I first spoke with a nurse because the front desk did not know if they provided a certain type of treatment. Had a wonderful conversation with the nurse told her I was new and looking forward to meeting her next week. Called a few days later made an appointment all good. Couple days after that they called me to cancel my appointment say that they were no longer taking new patients for IV treatments. I asked if this was due to my condition? Explanation was they no longer accept new patients and I can call back end of the year. A week later due to my suspicion I have my friend call and without any hesitation they made an appointment for the same treatment I wanted and they even offered insurance no questions asked. I called a little bit later to find out if they're taking new patients and the front desk lady knew that it was me calling and got very defensive and said it is not her fault the doctor changed the protocol and would not let me speak. All I wanted was to get the Point across that I was due for a courtesy phone call that there protocol was changed and to give me the option and instead of just canceling on me. She basically told me to be quiet and let her speak and if I didn't want to make an appointment there's no reason for us to converse any longer. I find this type of business to be horribly offensive and these people should not be dealing with people who are sick.. read more

O.K., so here's the thing. Dr. Rahm and the Prolozone shots he gave me have literally changed my life. Let me explain. In June I was in a car accident where someone hit me and put me into a wall, then fled. That's not the worst of it. The worst of it, was the accident resulted in me tearing my labrum in my right shoulder. I went to the orthopedic surgeon and he said I needed surgery, but due to my condition (I walk with a cane), I would need to be in a wheelchair for six weeks to isolate my shoulder, and thus would need physical therapy every day just for my legs, so that the muscles wouldn't atrophy. Complicated, I know. And did I mention my apartment's on the second floor? Good times. So now you know the backstory. And the reason why I wasn't going to have surgery. This is where Dr. Rahm and those wonderful shots come in. He knew my situation, and agreed surgery would be a huge undertaking. One in fact, he thought I wouldn't need. He explained to me the benefits of Prolozone (because honestly I've never heard of it), telling me that not only would it help with my shoulder pain -- but it would actually promote healing -- something quite remarkable for a torn part of your body. Well, to me it sounded too good to be true. And I really hate needles. But the one thing I've learned in two years going to Dr. Rahm, is that he's a phenomenal doctor. I trust him, implicitly, with my health. And now his new associate Dr. Kuo as well. So here's the end of the story. I got the first shot (surprisingly not that uncomfortable at all) and within in 2-3 days felt a remarkable difference. A difference so profound, that my shoulder rehab doctor was amazed at my progress -- at the increased amount of exercises I could do -- with heavier weights and a greater range of motion. Three weeks later I had my second shot, given to me by Dr. Kuo and after a few days I could honestly say that my arm felt almost 100% better than when I first tore my labrum! Look, I know this is getting long, but I just wanted to end by seriously praising Oasis Family Medicine and the Prolozone shots. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone with shoulder, knee or hip pain to look into these treatments. My Mom has degenerative arthritis in her knee and hip, and you know I've told her all about it. I was headed for what two orthopedists and one neurologist said was certain surgery on my cervical spine when I discovered and started being treated by "Dr. Yoshi." When I first went to see him in mid-January of this year, the nerves being affected in the cervical spine resulted in weakness and coordination loss in my right hand, so that I couldn't even engage in my favorite hobby of playing guitar. I couldn't turn off my iPhone with my right forefinger, or shuffle a deck of cards. Now I can do all of those things! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Rahm! I have been seeing him for a few years now and recently began seeing him for some chronic hip pain. I had surgery in my right hip for a labral tear and began having pain in the other hip. Dr. Rahm recommended that we try "Prolozone" injections to try and help with the pain. After surgery I was trying to rehab but my good hip was giving me so much trouble so we tried this and after 3 injections the pain was so much better. It is not gone but it has improved so much that my rehab is going smoother and I'm getting around a lot better! Dr. Rahm's office is never busy and he schedules more that enough time with each patient. He carries a wide range of supplements in the office so you don't have to drive all over town for stuff. He is patient and calming when he talks with you and he makes you feel at ease. I spent an hour with him at times and I walked out thinking, "when has a doctor ever spent an hour with me!?" Dr. Rahm is my hero! After having my second child, I had excruciating back pain. I could not sit or stand for more than a few minutes without tears welling up. After receiving Ostepathic treatments from Dr. Rahm, I'm almost back to normal. During our appts., he generously gave me advice about my newborn and 5 yr.old's ailments, too. I'm a healthy person so I don't go to doctors regularly. Regardless I've been looking for a doctor for years who I can turn to with confidence. I prefer prevention and healthy living but by residing in this country with probably the most unhealthy variety of food in the western world and also pushing 50 I sometimes need some care when my body falls out of balance. For this I needed a doctor who evaluates small symptoms instead of just brushing it off as something to live with at this age! Yes, that was my last doctor before Dr. Yoshi! At this facility the initial blood check was far the most in depth I have ever seen checking for all variety of cholesterol, hormones and gene specific markers. It wasn't a rip off, it hardly cost more then at any other places but the resulting information was surprising, starting with my true good and bad cholesterol level in relationship to other aspects of the blood test. Dr Yoshi spent about an hour explaining and discussing the results and what they meant for me and my life stile. In addition the staff is kind and funny and the facility is nice and humble. I had to wait for about 9 months to get in to the concierge system which I hardly use being healthy but this $100 a month is money best spent considering that I know people who spend more than this on booze and/or cigarette. I rationalize the monthly fee as "my addiction" ;-) I would vote for cloning legalization just to multiply this man! read more

Yoshi Rahm has been my primary care for over a year and has helped me with my unusual and difficult illness from high level and persistent toxic mold exposure. I came in for ozone treatment numerous times, but in the end the treatments did nothing for the problem. I should say I'm not a regular patient, if I was I may have gotten more consultation and a treatment that worked, but it seemed from what I had learned about ozone that the treatments might be helpful. The woman at the front desk was a little rude, not helpful, like she felt intruded upon when I spoke to her. I didn't like dealing with her, but I really liked Dr. Rahm, he seemed very kind and tried to be helpful, but as he said at the time he had no space for any more regular patients.
