Dr. Plance has been a godsend, a lifesaver, both figuratively and I'd say literally too. For 18 grueling months I've been enduring highly uncomfortable, fairly painful but seemingly esoteric symptoms. I saw MDs, including a specialist, got extensive lab work done, imaging, including 2 MRIs. Everything showed "normal". I sought all manner of practitioners in functional medicine too, including naturopathy, physiotherapy, acupuncture, chiropractic, nutrition, including various specialists, all to no avail. All of this resulted in several hours of wasted time, thousands of dollars expended and a myriad of misdiagnoses, opinions, etc. Through a close friend who is a patient of his, I got the opportunity to see Dr. Plance. On the first visit, he identified the exact medical phenomena that I've been experiencing, which no one else had been able to do. I've only seen him twice so far, and on the second visit, he identified the probable root cause, which every doctor before him failed to diagnose. My jaw dropped as I would have never guessed this particular condition to even be the case. Yet he was 99% sure this was it. I'm doing a specific blood test this week to confirm it 100%. So it's still a work in progress, but just in 2 visits, and for the first time in 18 months of utmost frustration, I feel hope. Dr. Plance was confident that I would be better and soon. I have known about him for close to 16 years and been a patient for 6 years. From his complete explanations on diagnosis to his no nonsense approach to treatments. Dr. Plance found wrong diagnosis by hospital: A couple years ago I had the symptoms of a stroke and I was taken in an ambulance to the hospital. Four days of tests: CT, MRI, EKG, chest x-ray 8 doctors looked at me (and my ear) & I was diagnosed with vertigo. (Unfortunately Dr Plance is on the board of 7 hospitals, just not the one I was at. The hospital set me up with occupational therapy. I was devastated. The day I got released from the hospital I called Dr. Plance and they squeezed me in for a visit the next day. Dr. Plance looked in my ear and said "ruptured your ear drum, that will make you dizzy for a couple weeks". He was right! All my friends & family that go to Dr. Plance also have a Dr. Plance story that ends with "I am so glad I am with Plance" Excellent Bedside manner: I witnessed an individual throw a temper tantrum in the doctors office this morning. He was upset that Dr. Plance was running late, due to an unexpected patient that came in with lacerations that required extra attention. When I checked in, the office staff told me about the delay. The individual heard this, but he chose to be loud and obnoxious anyway. When the nurse took me back to my room I could hear this individual complaining, venting, & whining to the Doctor. Dr. Plance is amazing. He is the ONLY physician who could cure my knee pain. I saw countless idiots masquerading as doctors over a 12 year period and NONE of them could figure out an appropriate treatment. Dr. Plance is the most brilliant and most caring Doctor I have ever met in my life. He has completely eliminated the need for me to have knee replacement surgery in both knees. Also after being to countless doctors with no relief, Dr Plance after much research, got to the bottom of a condition that was making me incapacitated with fatigue. He gave me my life back in a very real sense. He always keeps his patients best interest at heart. He charges modest fees because, although some of his patients are very high profile, many of his patients are in less fortunate financial situations. It's not about the money for Dr. Plance, it's about caring for his patients. His patients LOVE him and it's obvious he likewise cares for them. They wait hours to see him. His office is always packed. I am someone who generally transforms into a monster if I have to sit in a waiting room for more than 30 minutes... but I often willingly and pleasantly wait more than an hour to see Dr. Plance, and I have no problem doing so because the visit is ALWAYS worth the wait! Yes, some of his treatments are "outside the box", but when you're right about something, you're right, and Dr. Plance is ALWAYS right. Everyone is in an uproar over "A woman's right to choose" well what about an American's right to choose!?! It was recommended to me that California had facilities that could help me with several issues I had to deal with. When I got there, I knew the place I was in was not for me. I saw people who had mental problems that I had not seen or heard of before. Then I met Dr. Plance and he recommended a place in Arcadia across from the race track that might be able to help me. I am a 60 year old martial arts instructor and have had the same procedures he offers done in Santa Monica for literally TEN TIMES THE PRICE. He has 40 year experience in this field of medicine, and you can tell right away he is a pro! Stem Cells PRP, Prolo, are all the future of medice, surgeons will be a thing of the past (sort of). Great positive attitude and confidence. He will be the first to tell you that his prices are the cheapest and his experience is unmatched, and I have no doubt on either. The great thing is that you can afford frequent visits which is what you may need to heal damaged joint and avoid replacements. He said he could have avoided the hip replacement I had (and I totally believe him) and will definitely avoid any more, treating my injured knee too. BE WARNED! This office is a joke...they lack customer service at the core essence of the word. I had a 9am appt. and arrived at 855am and its 10:20am and still haven't seen Dr.Plance. He was notified that I'd been waiting for a long time and he decides to see another patient b/c I was new and I might take longer. His staff is a joke, rude and unprofessional. I'd definitely avoid this place plus the environment is dated and not clean. Dr. Plance is unique among doctors these days. He handle anything from athletic injuries to immunity problems. He is funny and he explains things simply. He does not charge a fortune either. I had some muscle & joint problems for over 30 years and he gave me two simple exercises that fixed them in a short time. I had been suffering from Epstein Barr for at least a year. In a short time he fixed that problem too. Dr. Plance reasonably charges for his services, some of the same services for which other doctors have sky high prices. While I was previously helped greatly by another holistic doctor for another problem, it left me with a substantial, high interest debt. Because of the demand for his services, book your appointments ASAP. It can be challenging to get that first appointment. He spent an appropriate amount of time and after going to 7 other physicians for my injury from a fall from my horse he was the first to actually physically examine me. First of all, this should be a rating with zero stars, but this app. forces you to put at least one star to post. Horrible front office service. I had an appointment at 9:00 am this morning, walked in at 8:50 am, and signed in. The ladies in the front office were gossiping amongst themselves, chatting about personal stuff. They never greeted me, just looked at me and continued their talking. I waited to be handed the necessary paperwork since I was a new patient...nothing was handed to me. The ladies in the front office still chatting, then chatting with patients about a vacation (safari), watching a video on a phone of the vacation. You could hear chanting from the phone. Really?! This is a doctor's office!!! Twenty-five minutes later, I'm still not handed the paper work for me to fill out to start my file. Finally, 30 minutes later, they hand it to me. I fill it out quickly and ask how much longer it will be, and the blond woman tells me "when the doctor finishes with the patient." Really rude and I'm annoyed but try to keep calm. Then, a patient comes out and they take another patient one in (not me!). 15 minutes later this patient comes out and then they take another patient in. I'm still waiting and can't take it anymore and tell them that they took patients in that walked in way after I did, and the blond lady replies, "we don't have your file ready." I complained that that was not my fault that they didn't give me the paperwork immediately upon my arrival and instead gossiped and chatted. I told her I was leaving and she said, "oh, I was just going to take you in." I said, "ok, then take me in." And, she said, "as soon as the doctor is finished with the patient." I walked out!!! Not sure how good the doctor is because I left after waiting 45 minutes, but the front office service is horrible!!! read more

I was rear-ended by a car traveling 40 mph on the eastbound 210 freeway. Needless to say, I sustained a nasty whiplash and stiff neck from that collision. I consulted with Dr. Plance and he recommended prolo therapy. I received a total of three prolo therapy sessions and I was completely cured of my whiplash and stiff neck.
