This a great doctor who I have been seeing for about 5 years. He has a great sense of humor and always listens to what I have to say. He is rushed though but it's not something new to me. Most physicians are. The key is to go in with whatever ails you and ask your questions. He will stop and answer until all the questions are answered. He is never dismissive nor is he uncaring. Dr Kamajian's bedside manner is outstanding. Also he is VERY knowledgeable. He will examine me, tell me to stop reading Google, and direct me to the right specialist if need be. I cannot believe that I never thought of writing a review on Yelp for Dr Steven Kamajian. Where do I begin? 1994 ...just got married and our new insurance plan recommended Dr Kamajian to us as our primary care doctor and til this day he is our doctor. What can I say he is the best doctor for me and I will not stop seeing him until he retires. Hopefully not anytime soon. He is loving, caring, professional, compassionate, gracious, trustworthy and let's not forget humorous. His staff has been amazing as well over the years. Many come and go but Siran has been loyal to Dr Kamajian. She has been working for him since the day I met her at my first appointment and til this day she has been so supportive and helpful. Dr. Kamajian has been our family doctor for many years. His knowledge and personality makes it all worth it every single visit.

I was sick with fever and he was on call on Sunday . He told me in order for him to give me Prescription the pharmacy should call him cause he doesn't like to be two hours waiting on the phone calling them . He told me cvs don't do that so try Rite Aid or any other pharmacy . I called three pharmacy and all of them told me that doctor should call. I call Dr Kamajian told him that none of those pharmacy will call and perhaps you should call and he reject telling me that I'm not trying to make it hard for you go find one that can call me . Finally with 101 fever I drove to Vons crying for help cause I could not even keep my eyes open of cough and fever . I told them the situation with this doctor and begged them to call . They called and left a message for him . Soon he call them back and give my prescription . At that point I was almost fainting I was Waiting for my prescription that dr called me trying to argue with me that you shouldn't be angry and upset telling the pharmacists out your experience. I told him that you are trying to make the life of all of us difficult knowing that you have a sick patient trying to lecture her about your short coming and pre-judge analysis without even trying to call pharmacist . He said I have more experience than perhaps you even born, pharmacist should call me . I said yes except three pharmacist had a common denominator issue, which was you . So I'm very disappointed and frustrated cause as a patient I fallowed your ridiculous request and no one responding to that which you already know otherwise you wouldn't tell me that CVS don't accept try other ones Hey doc : because you have the ductal license, doesn't mean you push the limit of your practice almost in abusive way Check the ego and be a better helpful human read more

Dr. Kamajian has seen 5 generations in my family. He is knowledgeable, kind, and takes great time to make sure we're both on the same page before I leave my visit. My insurance changed over the past three years and I was, unfortunately, no longer able to see him, but I'm glad to be returning! After visiting my chiropractor for a few years now, I decided to leave a review for him on Yelp today. It reminded me about my visit with Dr. Kamajian about 3 years ago. You may think why I'm writing this review today. The answer is that I've created my Yelp account recently. I visited Dr. Kamajian for a regular examination. I was in his office for about 2 and 1/2 hours. First, I was examined by his assistant. When I saw the doctor, he started joking, and it got to a point that I could barely remember the questions that I was going to ask him. I usually like doctors who take their jobs seriously, listen to patients and are concentrated on treating patients. If I want to listen to jokes, I'd rather to go to Laugh Factory and listen to REAL comedians. Dr. Kamajian mentioned to his assistant that I have hip rotation. I confirmed by saying that I'm seeing a chiropractor for it. He started making unpleasant comments about chiropractors. My chiropractor is actually very knowledgeable, passionate and caring. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Kamajian was not pleasant and I had to go to another physician. read more

First of all, if you're trying to book an appointment through Zocdoc, don't. This office doesn't know how to use the app and then blames the app for canceling your appointments. I literally went through 5 or 6 appointment changes before finally going in. The doctor had no clue what was wrong with me so send me to Quest Diagnostics to get some (read: A LOT) of blood work done. I paid $180 to drain my veins, only to find out everything was fine except for one item. Because the doctor was still unsure what was wrong with me, he sent me BACK to Quest Diagnostics for more blood work. After my results were sent to the doctor's office, I NEVER heard from Kamajian's office again. They never called me back. I'm still sick. I have no idea what's wrong with me but this is not a common cold. I think I have a very serious illness and Dr. Kamajian completely ignored me and left me hanging out to dry. This office has the WORST communication skills known to man. The office staff just assumes you know what they're talking about and if you ask them to explain it to you they can't. They don't know what they're doing and if you ask them to explain it to you they still don't know. The wait times are horrendous, even when you make an appointment, and the atmosphere is not very inviting. I'm very disappointed in Dr. Kamajian and scared for my future. read more

Seeing a DO was a refreshing solution to invasive and over-prescribing (antibiotics) MD visits for both me and my sons. Our old doctor, Dr. JJ, became extremely popular and unattainable, so her partner was who we got to see during the cold/flu season visits. Dr. L. used to always say, "I don't usually prescribe antibiotics, but in this case..." In contrast, Dr. Kamajian is extremely insightful and his experience is priceless. During my seven-year patient-ing I have had to take antibiotics once which was unavoidable by the time I had taken myself in. Dr. Kamajian's the best with our boys-to-men transition years in particular; and he's outstanding with my parents, which I believe is his forte. My sons, look forward to their visits and they learn something from Dr. Kamajian during their visits, especially when they are placed in the big room with the hearts, eye balls, and lipids. I can see how some people could like his partner's personality, but we find him a bit abrasive. Dr. Kamajian is up to date on cutting edge medical practices and a leader in the medical community locally and nationally while maintaining an old school modest demeanor. I have been going to dr. Kamajian for over 20 years, I was concerned about the unfair rating for him by one time patients, so I am writing this review. He is extremely intelligent & great all around dr., he always guided me with natural ways to treat issues before giving me a pill, he is also great in cardiovascular issues, so if you have any issue with high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, your heart beat, etc. or any heart related issues in your family, he is the one to visit, he even has an EKG machine in his office which checks the health of your heart. He has different temperament from other doctors, he trys to keep the visit light, as if you are visiting a family or friend which reduces the stress of (the dr. Visit), & he becomes a friend & keeps up with what is happening in your life because he knows it is all related. He also became my daughter's dr., & gave her an amazing advise when she was a teen that reflected his care to his patients as if they are his family. You can read one timers review of him, but to get the real picture read the review of patients like me who have been with him for decades & they are probably 90% of his patients & multi generations, thousands of us, who think he is so unique he does not need a review!! read more

Doctor does not accept medical even though shows that he is a primary in listings. Office assistant states that they are in the process of canceling medical contract. Meaning the doctor thinks hes too good to have patients. Good to know for people who want to learn about their doctors. read more

Dr. Kamajian was my doctor for close to 25 years and he is definitely the best doctor I ever had. He was my husband's doctor also until we moved far enough away that we had to find another doctor but he is still my mother's doctor and he was my mother-in-law's until she passed away. I've sent two of my friends to him too with good results. He has a wonderfully charming and calming personality and he is always up to date on advances in medicine. read more

I went to Dr Kamajian for years. Honestly he's a wonderful Doctor. I would give him 4.5 stars. His nurse/office staff is horrible. They are incompetent and make up arbitrary rules. My wife was pregnant and I needed to have genetic testing done. I called simply to get the authorization but office staff said I need an appointment and have to bring all her medical info. Why?? It's not their business under HIIPA. Just submit the authorization for my bloodwork, no appt needed as I've been a patient for 10 years. I had my very first appointment scheduled with Dr. Kamajian today. When I was making the appointment I specifically asked if my wait time is going to be long and was told that it would be no more than 15-20 minutes. After waiting in the waiting room for 20 minutes, I approached the receptionist and was told that there were two patients ahead of me, and the doctor wasn't even there yet. I find this outrageous and disrespectful. In their greed to see as many patients as possible, doctors violate the most basic rules of decent service... I love Dr. Kamajian. He is such a great doctor and very knowledgeable and good listener. I love his front desk girls. They are so fast, responsible, respectful with nice attitude. Whenever I need something they are right there to help me out without any hesitation. I have HMO and I have never had any problem with an authorization approval and I always get the response from my insurance within 1-2 days. This means that the front desk girl Mery is submitting the request right on time ( Not like other medical offices. I used to work in the doctor's office and I do know what I'm talking about.) Dr. Kamajian himself is nice although I don't always get his jokes... I have to say our last visit was not very pleasant. Wait time was very long as usual - even with appointment. I went there for my annual physical and the doctor did routine tests, also had me read from his chart and recommended seeing an eye doctor to get my eyes checked. When the bill came my insurance rejected to pay because they had charged it as an eye exam and of course Dr. Kamajian is not under contract as an eye specialist. So I got stuck with the bill. Billing department insisted they billed it correctly. I also had my 3year old with me for her annual physical. When asking about recommended vaccination I was told she couldn't get any today because she had a bad scrap on her knee. Before leaving the office I was given about 10 pages of information about recommended vaccinations and was told to take a look and come back if I find that she would need some vaccination. It's such a shame that I have to leave a poor review for Dr. Steven because he really is a kind and sweet doctor who I loved, however, I feel compelled to do so because I've visited his office thrice now and having always paid $15 cash for my co-payment the day-of, I just got a bill on 8/11 saying I owed for a visit on 4/15. I called today and was told by billing they had no record in three different places that I had paid for both visits 4/15 and 7/13. It's a nice office. I like it, I know his granddaughter works up front. But it's unprofessional and messy frankly for a doctor's office to conduct business in this way and I will never ever return on principle of such poor conduct. read more

Seeing a good doctor you have to wait, its same as going the best restaurant in town. Dr.Kamajian is the caring doctor I've ever seen. He cares about patient and talks with you on face ( not like other doctors they care only about what to put in the computer, not even looking on patient face.)
