The practice has become overly automated, making it extremely difficult to get in touch with staff or the doctor directly. Their website, which previously allowed messaging and appointment scheduling, has not been functioning for months. On several occasions I have had to go to the ER or urgent care simply because I could not reach my primary care doctor--who is supposed to be the first point of contact. When Dr. Emil was overseeing everything, the service was excellent; he is a great doctor. However, without proper access and communication, the quality of care is lost. I have since switched to another provider who is actually available to answer a call when needed. I hope this office can resolve these issues and return to the professional standard they once had, rather than continuing the current trend of being unavailable and overcapacity.

Her staff is fabulous just like Dr. Adelman! Dr. Adelman bends over backwards to ensure her patients get the best possible care and in the most timely manner. If I was old enough to see her, I would. As mentioned in other reviews, she is routinely booked out months in advance. Whenever I'm experiencing illness or injury, I have to see someone else at the practice, and the continuity -- and quality -- of care vastly suffers. For example, I hurt my back at the end of January. I took an appointment with a nurse practitioner because Dr. Mitropoulos had no available appointments. I've been doing physical therapy for the last 3 months (when the prognosis was 6-8 weeks of PT), and my back and pelvis still chronically hurt. I asked to see Dr. Mitropoulos so that we could figure out what was really going on in my body. Her next opening was in August (it's currently the beginning of May). Instead, I saw a male doctor who didn't let me finish a sentence. I mentioned that I was told by the nurse practitioner that my most recent x-ray was "normal." He informed me that it wasn't normal -- that I have mild scoliosis, so that's my issue. He then said, "Lots of people live with back pain. Use a heat pad." He also advised that I don't pick up my kid (My son is 2, so that's nearly impossible.) He then gave me a referral for a pain management doctor. When I handed the referral to the receptionist to schedule the appointment, the pain management doctor didn't have an opening for TWO months. This practice has lost its mind and sense of compassion. How would any one of its employees like to be told that they can't be seen for MONTHS when they're in chronic pain? I left in tears. I felt completely discouraged and dismissed. I don't understand why they continue to accept new patients if they aren't able to accommodate the ones they already have. Between rarely getting to see my actual doctor, and being dismissed by another who I had to see in her place, I'm on the hunt for a new doctor.

Today, I had an appointment for 11am, arrived 15 minutes early, and still waited over 2 HOURS, at which point I asked for a refund of my copay as I needed to return to work. I don't know if this office is prioritizing cosmetic procedures over regular patients, but if that is the case they need to just switch to focusing solely on cosmetics so their PCP patients can receive sufficient care. Update: When I asked for a followup on the status of my refund, I received no response, just a text message with a link to an electronic receipt. However, after checking with my bank, I confirmed I was not refunded and had to issue a claim with my bank to recoup the cost.

I've been nothing but satisfied with the 1:1 attention I get when I see him, the problem is (over the last few years) just getting in to see him! I would give him 5 starts, but the office experience brings it down some notches. Trying to get a timely appointment now is near painful -- and if you have to move an appointment, it will be double the time getting the next one. My past few experiences have been just that, and I find it super disparaging, especially as a longtime patient. Also, the call staff I find could be a bit more friendly and accommodating. Sometimes I feel like they don't even try and I'm told to go to Urgent Care. I hate to say such things and don't write reviews on Yelp often (especially to say bad things), but the past few experiences just trying to get an appointment have left me with a bad taste.

I paid for my lab test at the clinic and later got a bill from the lab saying the invoice was never paid (meaning the clinic never paid them, even though I paid the clinic). I called and they said they were taking care of it. They asked me to send them my payment record because they didn't have a way of pulling it up themselves, which is wild. Months later I received another letter from the lab saying the bill still had not been settled and they were sending the payment to collections which would affect my credit score. They also sent me the incorrect imaging form multiple times. I needed an ultrasound and they sent me one for a mammogram. I flagged it and they sent me a new one but it still said mammogram. The info for what kind of imaging I needed came from them, so I really don't understand how they kept on getting that wrong. Just really poor attention to detail. It took multiple emails and calls just to get the right order. They also email you but don't check for your replies. I've had to call to follow up on emails. They also gave me the results to my imaging three different times. It was the same result, but somehow they hadn't recorded that they already gave them to me, so every several weeks they would call me to give me the same result. All of these issues stemmed from one visit if you can believe that.
