I met Dr Mirzaian one time during my physical and first time patient consultation around 8/2019 after a surgery at the USC verdugo hospital. I was referred to him as he is part of the USC verdugo hills medical group. He was extremely kind, attentive, and caring. I was excited that I found a cool/relatable Dr that would be able to provide the primary care needs that I have been looking for and need to monitor. I called back on 2-26-20 to request an order for blood work and urinalysis and also requested to schedule an appointment to see and discuss results of my physical with the Dr, pretty straight forward. After waiting 20 minutes on hold, an office staff employee told me she needs to confirm what test to order and that "Patty" will call back. I agree, and ask to schedule an appointment for sometime later in the week to give enough time for the results. She advised me of availability for 3-5-20 10 am. I confirmed and added it to my calender with reminders like all my other appointments. On Tuesday 3-3-20, I realize I never got a call and probably wouldn't have the results in time for my appointment. I call the office to follow up and advise that I never got a call back or order for blood work /urinalysis and that I most likely have to change the scheduled appointment that I had for 3-5-20 as a result. The staff employees responds "you had an appointment today and you were a no show"! I replied, excuse me? I scheduled the appointment myself and have it on my calender. There is obviously a miscommunication. I reiterated that the purpose of my call right now is to follow up on not having an order for blood work and that the 3-5-20 appointment won't be necessary as a result. She replied oh, OK, "Patty" will call you back. I asked to confirm if she will call me back today? She said yes. Two days later on 3-5-20, Patty calls me, she states that she has ordered bloodwork for me. I said great, I would like to schedule an appointment with the Dr to go over the results. She asked when I would complete the blood work, I advised I can go as soon as possible and would fast that evening and provide my blood sample the following morning. She says, the soonest the Dr has available is some time in April! Wow, just wow! Very unorganized and seemingly more busy than can handle. Specially "Patty" and the office staff. A simple blood order became a big deal? THE ATTITUDE here is Definitely accepted behavior. Possibly even trained to be rude! Unbelievable honestly. read more
