Shopping along Nimitz Highway in Honolulu, Hawaii... I was driving past the strip mall (the one with AAA, Red Wing Shoes, and New Eagle Cafe) when I spotted the "HE is greater than I" store. The store reminded me of the time I took my friends from Los Angeles to the North Shore. They really wanted to see the original location of this shop in Haleiwa. It was a learning experience for me! The little shop on the North Shore expanded and is quite famous! This second location is more convenient, but has limited selection... Or maybe I visited before the next delivery arrived? Besides shirts, hoodies, and tank tops, they did have journals, mugs, postcards, caps, stickers, beanies, and tote bags. Well... That friend who likes this brand is coming to Honolulu next month... I'm ready to show him this second location!

I went in last week to purchase a shirt and small shopping bag as a gift and the two boys that were working was too busy talking about video games or something to pay attention to their customers. When we approached them to purchase our items they were nice but didn't acknowledge us until then. Honestly it was pretty disappointing, I've been to the store on the north shore and they were really nice so maybe it's just location? Either way, I would probably go back to the other store, I just came here for the convenience.

This is one of the two stores on the island. It wasn't busy when we walked in but we were greeted right away and welcomed into the store. We made small talk with the employees and they were nice! We bought several things and the prices are the same as you see online. They sell everything they carry online from stickers to bags to t shirts and sweat shirts/hoodies. You gotta check it out if you're a fan of HE is greater than I. Most people have no idea what the logo is we are happy to spread the word of our savior

My mom wanted me to pick up two things for her before heading to Maui to visit her traveling from Nevada. She wanted a tank top & chrome sticker for her new car. Service was amazing, greeted instantly when entering their small but humble shop. Really organized, I wish I could have bought something for me but I'll for sure be back for it considering I've passed this place a good amount of times. Price is reasonable for the quality of the things they sell. Will for sure be back for gifts in the future.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE BRANDS Well known brand in Hawaii. Getting a lot of compliments around the island of my tank. This brand is a Hawaiian brand but they do have a store location in SoCal (OC). The store has some selections but sizes and inventory are minimal. Love the feel of the tank, the simple design brand, and the cotton is the soft thin cotton that doesn't really shrink. \m/

I'm glad they opened up this new location for those who can't always make the drive out to their Haleiwa store. This location is located at the Nimitz Center. They have some storefront parking stalls but they also have a parking structure. I like the store itself; it's clean and uncluttered. They also have nice displays with some of their shirts hanging against the walls and over the clothing racks. I noticed that almost every piece of clothing was $25 with the exception of some sweatshirts and board shorts. They also have a lot of other neat items like stickers, wristbands and bags for sale with the He are Greater Than i logo. The customer service is good and they offer gift cards too! P.S. Yelp, why do you not allow the greater than or less than character in reviews?

Came to this location and purchased their new hibiscus shirt, which is a part of their summer collection. I love the way the shirt fits, and the quality as well. Most (if not all) of the shirts are reasonably priced ($25-$30). The two gentlemen who were behind the counter were extremely friendly. All in all, excellent customer service and an excellent experience. Great getting to support this growing Christian business! Cool and aesthetically appealing way to rep your faith.

This was my first time shopping at this store. I really like the various designs especially the ones which represent Hawaii. So cool. I bought a shirt for my niece on the mainland in CA and I know she will absolutely LUV it. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Store was really clean too. The store is kinda small and the inventory is limited. But still... I'll definitely be shopping here again. Aloha!

Quality stickers with instructions and HE is greater than i print on the back. (Large size stickers $7 each)

I love this location! It's so centrally located, the workers are friendly, and they always have what I'm looking for in stock! They are also always coming out with new designs. They have shirts & tanks for men, women, and children, totes, stickers, hats, wristbands, onesies for babies, and now even journals! Check them out in the Nimitz Shopping Center next to Best Buy!

He Greater Than I is located off Nimitz Highway by Alakawa Street in an outdoor shopping area. There is plenty of parking in their private lot by the front and the rear parking area which is shared with other businesses in the area. The store is small and straight to the point. Items are displayed very nicely and not cluttered. The store is well kept with great and friendly customer service. Very recognizable, iconic, simple, and well designed logo with so much meaning behind it. Various items can be purchased here such as apparel, decals and accessories for Men, Women, and Children. I have purchased their vinyl decals, shirts, hoodies, and windbreakers. I have no complaints about anything purchased for myself or the family. All items are produced very well and with high quality printing and materials used. The apparel runs a little more on the fitted side. The shirts are true to size but with the hoodies I wear a size up. My shirt size is medium and wear medium hoodies. Designs are released quarterly. Very limited designs are kept throughout the year. Do not sleep on any designs you like because once they are sold out then they will no be reproduced. The store can also be found in Hale'iwa, in the mainland at Newport Beach (CA) and online at their website. Any exchanges or returns are efficent and effortless just keep your receipt. For online returns or exchanges you will have to pay shipping fees. If you in the area or around their other locations then come stop by the shop and take look.

I'm so glad we seen the store on our way from airport to our hotel. Store has good selection of hats , stickers, hoodie, t-shirts and also have had windbreaker jackets. Wish they had one closer to my home. Jesse thanks for your patience.

You can wear these with a snazzy business or leisure suit, or island shirt and shorts, clubbing or shopping it looks great either way. I was fortunate enough to wander into this lovely little store full of nothing but... Panama hats! Plus some feathers, a few handbags and accessories, but mostly hats, hats, and more hats. Plus a couple lovely and personable assistants, Amy and Ray, both knowledgeable and helpful suggesting which ones looked good on me, and the subtle differences between one style and another. Who knew there were so many different styles of Panama hat? The store is arranged horizontally kind of like a fancy bar is vertically. Nothing is inexpensive here, the hundreds of hats on display start at about $200 near the entrance and reach $600 to $900 by the back of the store. They're all handmade in the same way, but the more expensive ones have a tighter and more even weave, more intricate weave patterns and designs, maybe a more refined shape. Plus there's a small glass case with the Louis Tres and Hennessy Paradis of hats, like the alcohol those hats are $1,000 and up. Unlike those big luxury brands these are the real deal, all handmade in Ecuador (where Panama hats are made) by a network of artisan craftspeople, seemingly related to a small company named Truffaux that has similar shops in Australia. You're in luxury territory the moment you step in but they don't cater to the ultra high end collector and antique hats that can go for many thousands of dollars. So it's hats for millionaires not billionaires, or just people who want a hat they can treasure. I splurged for a Montecristo hat, one of the nicest, and it makes me feel like a million to wear it and read up on all about the history, lore, and origin of these hats.

Monday, 12/01/25 2:53pm…read more I had the worst experience with an employee at Lids third floor Ala Moana Shopping Center. First, no greeting when I walked in and the music she was playing on the boombox was very loud. As I looked at the 49rs hats I asked her kindly which was the newest model and she points at one that I know is an old style and said "this one." Then she continues to work on the sewing machine. As I made my decision I told her politely I was ready to be rung up. No response and she continued threading the sewing machine. She finally comes over to the register with an attitude so I asked her what did I do wrong to make her treat me the way she did as a customer: She lashed out at me and said I'm the one with the attitude and said she doesn't want to sell me the two hats I had decided to buy. She then told me to get out of the store. I asked to speak to the store manager and she rudely said she was the store manager. With her attitude I didn't believe she was the manager so I went to the back store room door and knocked hoping a store manager or another employee would come out. Unfortunately she was the only one in the store at the time. After much thought I assumed she was having a bad day or I caught her at the worst possible time of the day for her. I walked up to her and apologized and asked if we could start all over and asked her to wring up my merchandise. She refused twice but finally after much thought she did. She was trying very hard not to get upset and I finally got a little smile from her at the end of the transaction. I later went to the Lids Locker Room where I always receive excellent customer service from the entire staff. I told them about my experience upstairs and they were very apologetic. They told me the woman who I was talking about was the assistant manager and not the store manager. They even asked what can they do to make things right. Now this is what you call customer service! I also shop at Lids mall level. The manager there has been there for many years and is always friendly and helpful. Had I shopped at Lids mall level or Lids Locker Room from the beginning I wouldn't have experienced this bad service.

First thing I walked in to see a display table filled with various hot items and of course it was all about the Dodgers of various item but I liked the fun and cute shirt of Ohtani with his name in kanji is cool but as I browsed around I noticed as tiny collegiate section and the Oregon Ducks will always be a special place in my heart though wished they had more selections. There was a friendly staff Nick who was so nice as I enjoyed browsing around was very nice and knowledgeable making it nice to shop for various items. They're located in Ala Moana Center street level Makai (ocean side) near GNC. Thank you!

And we have a store here in Hawaii too--located along Ward Ave between Waimanu and Kawaiahao Street with plenty of unshaded parking. The inside is very open, clean, cool, and comfortable. Everything was quite organized and each section was spacious. The first time I came here I couldn't really understand how most of the clothes aren't even for Hawaii weather..... or Hawaii pockets.... unless you travel to many places to do winter sports and activities. Funny enough, I received a gift card for Pantagonia shortly after my first visit. Now that I need to actually buy something. I focused on the casual, running/training, ocean activity areas. Needless to say, everything was quite expensive in my opinion. The quality is there and the clothes do feel similar to other brands. Is it worth THAT much though? My co-worker says this place is like the Lululemon for outdoors. Sounds about right. Overall, this store was really nice, cool, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Everything really organized. It's quite niche. I guess if I need some ice climbing gear, I'll know where to go. Eventually I got a pair of shorts. Regular price is $135. Thankful for the gift card cause I'm not on THAT level...yet.

Before our trip here, was somewhat familiar with the brand Lucy Love (similar to Roxy but less popular and priced a little higher too). I also saw cute Honolua dresses too, priced at around $40. My husband saw a couple things (a hat, an aloha shirt) that he liked as well. Cute stuff. Better selection than T & C (sparse). It's a rectangle shaped store, that carries mens and womens clothing, along with some footwear. Seems to appeal to shoppers in the area, since the location is in the heart of Waikiki. There were several other customers besides us. The sales people are very nice and greet you right away with a smile- she also told us about the sale. Nice setup- lots of merchandise but it didn't feel cramped though. I still miss the Aloha Tower store because that's where their extreme markdowns ended up (slight damage, but an easy fix for me, since I am handy/crafty like that).
