The Lids at the international Marketplace is awesome! They have great customer service. Eddy helped me with my purchase. She was awesome, very knowledgeable, and helped me with everything I needed. Definitely the best Lids in Honolulu.

Showing off my New Era custom cap with the Makau emblem. Absolutely love my new cap. Thanks Sarah.

Just had the greatest experience with Sarah, the manager of Lids at Ala Moana, level 3. I have historically had a problem with caps due to my large head. She recommended the New Era Flex in extra large, along with my personal selection of the Makai emblem, the fish hook. My cap looked great, from the fit to the look that I wanted. I loved my custom cap so much that I purchased two of them. Will definitely look you up when I need another custom fit cap. Sarah, thank you for all your patience and help.

We're in the second week of the NFL preseason. I needed a new Cowboys cap with my last name embroidered on the side. Where do you go to get that? Lids of course! You can find almost any cap you need here. They do all kinds of different embroidery. I got my last name embroidered for $10.99 extra in the Varsity font. They were running a special. It was a BOGO half off. I purchased my Cowboys cap and a Warriors cap. The staff here were friendly and helpful. I told the sales guy that I wanted the font that was on the back of the jerseys, which he told me was Varsity. Then, he measured the cap and told me the size of the fonts we could use. They use a computer system that controls the embroidery machine. They hook up the color of thread you want to the machine, press a button and the machine does the rest. My name was embroidered on my cap in less than 5 minutes.

Being a 100% hat guy, I always stop by to see what they have in stock. Sometimes they carry special edition NewEra MLB hats but they have almost every other sport covered as well. Fitted, low profile, truckers, rippers, snap backs, stretch, visors, the list goes on. This is a shout out to these two employees: Rodney & Addison. Excellent customer service. Although our team wasn't the team they cheer for, they were still very fun and enjoyed small talk and talked about their team and ours. Having been at other retail stores that despise our team and decrease their sales efforts, we were very happy with these two guys. Thanks for making our purchase a fun and easy one. Oh, and their buy 2 get 1 free was also awesome!! 5 stars for Rodney & Addison. -1 star for not having my hat size in the style I wanted. But still, found two hats for my son and one for the wife!!

Looking for University of Hawaii gear and found a great selection of caps, though I cannot believe one could wear a wool hat in Hawaii. There is always a sale going on. Picked up a UH mesh snapback. Go Warriors! No, not Golden State.

Strolling ala moana and wanted to get my dad a surprise gift, walked out of the food court and noticed lids nearby. This bottom store isn't as neat looking compared to the higher level store but I don't care. Walked in greeted right away and asked if needed assistance. Told em what type of custom hat I wanted and gentleman helped with everything. Engraving only took around 15 minutes as told. Overall nice experience

And quite possibly the best hat store in all of Honolulu! While on a staycation in Waikiki we stumbled upon Chapel Hats which is located in the Sheraton Waikiki. We were going to spend our day at the pool and I of course know that the longevity of my youth is directly equated to proper sun protection at all times. I tried on all kinds of hats and eventually decided on a simple yet elegant sun hat. It was gigantic and I loved it at first fit! My fiance went with a creme colored fedora, but it wasn't just any fitted wonder. It had a bottle opener attached to it! McGuyver would be proud for sure. The woman working the shop was really friendly and helped us find different sizes. I was actually surprised by the prices because for touristy Waikiki they weren't bad at all. Both our hats were around the 30ish range and my guess is that we'll be taking them with us on future fun in the sun adventures!

We've done biz with a store in FL and they had a big selection. Aha, there it is! Exactly what I'm looking for. Easy purchase, the lone salesperson removed the tags & stickers for me. Back into the mall happy with my purchase.

You can wear these with a snazzy business or leisure suit, or island shirt and shorts, clubbing or shopping it looks great either way. I was fortunate enough to wander into this lovely little store full of nothing but... Panama hats! Plus some feathers, a few handbags and accessories, but mostly hats, hats, and more hats. Plus a couple lovely and personable assistants, Amy and Ray, both knowledgeable and helpful suggesting which ones looked good on me, and the subtle differences between one style and another. Who knew there were so many different styles of Panama hat? The store is arranged horizontally kind of like a fancy bar is vertically. Nothing is inexpensive here, the hundreds of hats on display start at about $200 near the entrance and reach $600 to $900 by the back of the store. They're all handmade in the same way, but the more expensive ones have a tighter and more even weave, more intricate weave patterns and designs, maybe a more refined shape. Plus there's a small glass case with the Louis Tres and Hennessy Paradis of hats, like the alcohol those hats are $1,000 and up. Unlike those big luxury brands these are the real deal, all handmade in Ecuador (where Panama hats are made) by a network of artisan craftspeople, seemingly related to a small company named Truffaux that has similar shops in Australia. You're in luxury territory the moment you step in but they don't cater to the ultra high end collector and antique hats that can go for many thousands of dollars. So it's hats for millionaires not billionaires, or just people who want a hat they can treasure. I splurged for a Montecristo hat, one of the nicest, and it makes me feel like a million to wear it and read up on all about the history, lore, and origin of these hats.

I also saw cute Honolua dresses too, priced at around $40. My husband saw a couple things (a hat, an aloha shirt) that he liked as well. Cute stuff. Better selection than T & C (sparse). I still miss the Aloha Tower store because that's where their extreme markdowns ended up (slight damage, but an easy fix for me, since I am handy/crafty like that).
