Overpriced. I tried to return shoes only 10 min after purchasing. Store credit. Never again Waste of time, look elsewhere. read more

Do not recommend!!!! Too expensive and customer service is not great. Will not come here again. I was attempting to return shoes for my mom and was 4 days too late. Never mind that my mother was in the hospital and is disabled. They don't give a shit. Zero stars and the manager is barely able to vote. read more

Arrived at heel and shoe to grab a pair of classic black vans... the moment i walked in notice a lady who looked directly at me and rudely stated she would get someone to help me, after she walked away in a hurry, there was another woman approaching me. Her name was Emily. I requested the lady name who had just rudely dismissed me as if I wasn't a customer... she did not greet me. She did not say hi. She didn't have a smile on her face. Nothing. needless to say her name was Adriana. Not sure if she was having a bad day but the way she treated me was honestly disgusting and it left a bad impression on the store as a whole. Her dismissively brushing me off was uncalled for. Personally wouldn't recommend this store. Thank you, Emily for your help. Your service is appreciated. read more

Heel & Sole Shoes - Sandles that heel and shoe have much stock in - Shoe Stores Near Me - Chico, California

The young lady (Adriana) that greeted use as we when into the store, was very pleasant while waiting on me. She brought out a couple of boxes of shoes to try on. She then checked back several times to see if I needed any help. It was pleasant buying shoes from this store. I'll go back when I need new ones. Thanks Adriana read more

I've been shopping here since it was called In Step Shoes and located on East Avenue next to Albertson's, which is now Save Mart. How am I just now writing a review? Some days I love this place, and some days I just can't find what I'm looking for. The selection ranges from top of the line to fast fashion. I've gotta give them kudos, though, because I like that they don't seem to mind bringing out a whole bunch of boxes of shoes for my kids to try on (like a lot of boxes), and they're friendly and willing to joke a bit at the register. What fun is a store where the salesperson silently rings you up and hands you a receipt? You don't just come to Heel & Sole for the shoes. You come for the experience. The chance to find something unique like a pair of tie dye New Balance sneakers and the sheer selection ... Give me all the choices of boots. Dazzle me with all the strappy heels. Make me laugh at all the socks. Show me the size 0 baby saltwater sandals!!! Sooo cute!! Hot tip: Be sure to check in on Yelp because there is a coupon! (2021) read more

if i could give this place negative stars i would. the costumer service of who i think the main manager is TERRIBLE. there stuff is cheap over priced and their return policy is terrible no wonder no one goes there and buys shit read more

Just bought two new pairs of sandals today, prices were great, and staff was very helpful. Definitely check them out.

I found out about this place from the lovely Erin B. who stumbled upon this place one day. She loved it so much, she gifted me a certificate to go shoe shopping for my birthday. I arrived and was instantly overwhelmed by the amount of shoes, but it seems that the organize the store by type of shoe so I found what I was looking for - sandals. The prices were very reasonable and I was able to find two pairs that I liked. I checked in on yelp and got an discount on top of what I thought was already inexpensive shoes and once I applied my $40 gift certificate, I ended up paying like .49 cents out of pocket for two pairs of nice dressy sandals. Such a score! Props to Erin for finding this little gem of a shoe store. read more

It's whatever that you don't want to enforce wearing masks in a pandemic when it's a state mandate. But don't circle me like a shark when I wear a mask and go shopping for shoes in your store. Yes, it's a face cover, that's the point, and no I have no intension of stealing your shoes. I would have bought more of your over priced shoes if you got off of my back. Someone literally walked by or stood behind us every 30 seconds with another always keeping eyes on us. I have never felt so watched in my life. And for the record both of us are professionals that work locally who have never stolen anything in our lives. I will not be shopping here again. I want the old owners back. read more

I went into find boots for a wedding, and when I was purchasing them, I asked about the return policy that they had. I was told I had 60 days to bring in unworn shoes. I got home, tried them on and realized they weren't going to work with my outfit. Went to return them and was told they only give store credit, they need to learn to train their employees to let the consumer know that the only form of return is store credit. I specifically asked about the return policy and they happen to just leave out the part that you only get store credit. Super disappointed. read more

Best shoe store in Chico! We're lucky to have it here.

I took my mother to look at shoes today. She's in a wheelchair and we asked where the restroom was. We were told they don't have a public restroom (due to covid ) and suggested we go to Safeway next door. Apparently covid isn't in Safeway's restroom. I find it ironic that a little store like that won't let you use their restroom and send you next door to a large market. I also find it ironic that they will gladly take your $65 for a pair of shoes but won't let you use their facilities. We came home and bought shoes online. read more

Went into the store this afternoon to find an entire store of customers not wearing masks. The one employee we were able to locate had a mask on, but it was clear that mask wearing is not enforced here. After 10 years of shopping at Heel and Sole, I will be taking my business elsewhere; they clearly do not prioritize the health and safety of their customers. read more

I was visiting my cousin in Chico last month. She knows I LOVE heels and told me she was taking me to a store I would LOVE. We walked in and I thought she had lost her mind! Then we walked toward the back and all if a sudden it was high heel heaven!!!! It seemed very busy, but there was plenty if help and both times I needed it, there was a person with a smile offering to get me another pair of shoes! The only downside is when you go to pay. There is a bit of a wait, but so worth it! I can't wait to go back! read more

Heel & Sole Shoes - Drooling and going to get these next time - Shoe Stores Near Me - Chico, California

Heel and sole is great- they have a lot of options and good prices. I've always been able to find something I like or close to what I'm looking for. The way it works with tracking down an employee is pretty insane, though. The employees do try their best, but sometimes you have to awkwardly stand around for a long time holding a shoe, hoping someone comes around eventually, read more

Went to purchase shoes for work, but felt unsafe, there is no mask requirements and no one social distancing either. Shop at your own risk. Not worth it in my opinion. read more

Me and my son went to heel and sole to pick up my wife some sandals that we hoped that she would like we bought several pairs and hopes that she'll be happy with one or two of them and just take what she does not like back and get our money back but they refused refunds in that manner they only would you exchange. Spoke to the owner and she said the same thing very bad business if you ask me will not shop there again can't give a normal refund back when sandals are clearly not worn. read more

They sold me used shoes. I LOVED this store. Whenever I'm in town I make it a point to stop in. I went there this weekend and bought some sperrys, got home only to find out they're used. They're super dirty, obviously have been worn outside and they're scuffed along the sides. I can't return them because I don't live there. It's disgusting and appalling that they're reselling used shoes. read more

I finally got some Toy Story vans and they were less expensive than at any other shoe stores I've been to. They were on sale and Heel and Sole offers a 15% off coupon for checking in on Yelp. Every time I have been to Heel and Sole, I find exactly what I am looking for and a few extra pairs of shoes that I didn't even know I needed. This trip was no exception. I was offered assistance after just being in the store for 3 minutes. The guy saw that I found the shoes I needed and asked me my size and came back just 1 minute later with the correct pair. He was really friendly and didn't seem bothered that my girlfriend and I kept finding shoes we wanted to try on. He was also very knowledgeable about their inventory and was able to recommend a pair of shoes based on my needs. On my way out, I found a pair of hemp shoes I had to have. They were rather pricey but was able to save a bit with the 15% off coupon. I recommend this store to anyone in need of a pair of shoes for any occasion, from hiking to ball room dancing, they have it all. read more

This place is wonderful and a great place for family shoes and anything you can think of

August 10, 2016 After buying shoes in this store for years, I am appalled. My friend has a small toy service dog, it is properly tagged, legal in every way as a certified service companion. This little dog was sitting quietly in my lap ( I am 70 years old) my friend was about to purchase 3 or 4 pairs of shoes. To my dismay, while sitting on the side, some clerk came to me and said you cannot have that dog in the store. I showed this gal the tag (ID as a service Dog) She demanded that this dog must have a full vest which is nonsense especially in this heat. I told her again, this is a tagged service dog, I even have medical documentation in the car. which we have never been asked to present because it is against the law for some clerk to ask someone for medical details. I would say to people never support any store that is hostel to people with disabilities. Never ! I hope that after I file more complaints and as more review get published that being dumb to customers who are not bothering anyone. Is going to cost you. I know the laws and this worker person was rude, improperly trained and this shop should be shut down. This rude clerk demanded that I leave. Again after I told her this Dog is covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act and it is a legal service Dog. This is not a food store or any delicate place. She was wrong. She said you must go so we did. I will file a complaint with the BBB and under the Americans Disabilities consider more action. Stupid people will loose our business forever. Next time they will ask the lady who was sitting with a new born baby to leave because it does not have a vest on. Please do not shop at this store again. FC Chico California read more

Came in here when I was in Chico visiting my sister last weekend. I was super overwhelmed when we walked in--shoes EVERYWHERE. Literally, floor-to-ceiling shoes. Expensive, inexpensive, sandals, boots, flats, heels, tennis shoes, they have everything. I ended up buying a pair of random-brand boots for about $40--can't beat that. I'm sure they won't last longer than a season, but that's not expected. Minus one star for the associate who looked at me with a shoe in my hand three times before offering to pull a size for me. But I'd still come back. read more

This place is freakin' mess. They have boxes of shoes towering up the length of the walls and even stuffed in the rafters. But, I must admit they have the best prices in town. I try not to stay too long. They have such a large selection in such a cramped and messy space that it can sometimes make me nauseous to be in there too long. The staff is pretty attentive, but it can be hard to spot someone through the walls of shoes. I wish it was a little cleaner and more organized but you can't beat the selection or the price anywhere in town. read more

I went in last minute to find a pair of heels for an event and was not disappointed. This place had an endless amount of heels ranging from break my foot high heel to just right. And i definitely cannot complain about the prices as it is affordable for a college budget. I will be going back for any other heel related necessities. The only reason I am not giving the business 5 stars is because I did not get fast service with the small amount of employees. read more

Wow there really is such thing as a shoe heaven. They have about 95% of every brand and style of shoe that's ever been made. You can't not find what you're looking for when you walk in. Everything from Steve Madden to Vans to Uggs to Sketchers to Soda-even Crocs now. Pretty great prices too. You can always find something in your price range that you like. Big brand shoes that have pretty standard prices-Chuck Taylors, Vans, Sperrys, Flojos-tend to run a bit cheaper here even. I've always had great customer service, even during busy days. The young guy who works here sometimes is kinda lame but that's the only not great experience I have here. Even when I had a pair of shoes fall apart a week after I had bought them they were very apologetic and helped me find another pair of shoes. However I would not come in if you're claustrophobic. You'll have a full on panic attack if you take more than five steps into the store. read more

Pros: - Prices are generally reasonable/inline with online prices. Cons: - Terrible return policy (store credit only). - Despite the large selection, they rarely have the size you need. - Can be tricky getting help. It's been hit or miss each time. - Holy Guacamole, the store is stressful to navigate. I only go here when I need shoes very last minute (and Amazon Prime doesn't have anything for me); and either way I've been disappointed every time. read more

My friend came and bought me a pair of shoes they were to big I tried walking around in them at my house and they just hurt really bad so I came to return them and they told me I couldn't return them like are you serious that makes no sense I atleast should get a gift card store credit or something. Alexis should not be working there she is very rude and had horrible customer service. Defiantly will not recommend people ever going there and I defiantly won't be coming back. Makes no sense that someone got me a pair of shoes and of course I tried them on and tried walking in them and the heels were completely uncomfortable. They aren't messed up or anything. You guys have horrible customer service. read more

This store used to be my to go store for shoes, not no more. The customer service is HORRIBLE. No one acknowledged that i was there. I waited patiently for someone to help. When I finally asked someone seems like you are asking for too much. They don't want to be bothered. Even though is a store where you ask for your size. The store was not busy. I asked a girl if she could get me a size and she stared at me ackward and said I'm going to lunch and walked away. She could of said let me get someone to help you...not pleased! read more

They have amazing customer service and products!!! I love their deals!!! Dont go anywhere!! They have shoes for me and my boyfriends!

First timehere, I needed nonslip shoes for work. There was a variety to choose from, though I do wish more options were available. I still found exactly what I needed. The girls were extremely helpful despite the fact that were busy. Showed me where the items I was asking for where at by taking me to the section, not just a point in the direction. Very happy with the service and product. read more

Great selection & customer service was courteous & very helpful. I highly recommend this shoe store!

Can someone please tell me why every time I shop here I do not get acknowledgement and the employees are incredibly rude when you need help?! I waited for 15 minutes before I could get someone's attention and she gives me complete attitude from the start. TIP: "How may I help you today?" With a friendly smile sounds a lot better than "What do you want?" With a snappy tone. I let her know I had a few pairs that I wanted to buy and she only let me tell her of two. She comes back with one pair because they didn't have the other in my size, which is completely ok. She tries walking away and I let her know there were more shoes I would like to buy. She allows me to ask for 1 pair before I can finish showing her the other pairs and she disappears. Comes back to tell me they don't have them and walks off. Another TIP: offer another style or take the time to listen to the customers needs/wants. A little communication goes a long way with a smile. You are the employee that chose to work at this place so give some customer service! I would understand if you were busy with another person but you weren't, therefore you lost out on a BIG sale. Please tell me why is it so hard to get customer service at this place?! I've been here many times with the same shitty attitudes I get from you and today is the day that I have to say something. Big selection of shoes but not worth the hassle of bitchy attitudes from the employees. read more

We bought shoes for $19. Our daughter wore them for 20 min at a wedding before the soles started falling off. We took them off. Took them back the next day. They wouldn't return them for cash or credit. Said they were worn. No sh*t. Buy shoes. Wear them. In the case they fall apart 20 min out of the box, swap them out. Seems basic. Heel & Sole... Epic fail. Steer clear. read more
