I don't expect others to cater to my own short comings, but I don't think the employees at this location understand certain social cues. I was with my mom who was kindly treating me to some new outfits and I had 4 employees all walk up to me one after the other asking me the same question when I kindly explained why I didn't want to try anything on. I became overwhelmed due to my social anxiety and just wanted to buy my stuff and leave. When I got home I noticed that a pair of Jean shorts I was about to try on had a decent sized neon yellow stain on the side. I'm assuming maybe it's from a security tag? So I went in a week later (today) to do an exchange and felt like I was treated like I stole them. I gladly provided my receipt but and when I went to look for something to exchange it felt like I was an annoyance or something. While I was grateful for not being bombarded like last time, the cashier was pretty rude. She just looked at me and expected me to know what she needed and I fumbled over my words because I didn't know what number she was talking about since all she did was say "T" and look at me for my response. I assumed they were going to scan the barcode. When they did the transaction at the end there was a refund amount and since it was on my moms card I didn't have it with me. I asked if it had to be the exact card and explained it was my moms card used, the cashier responded again with a tone that seemed like I was trying to steal and maybe get money on my own card or something? Which is funny because she was able to just send it through automatically to the card even though I didn't have it...why did I need to provide it? I don't know if this was her intention, but it really came off that way. I know what it's like to work in retail and it sucks...but I never would've treated someone that way when they had a receipt right when they walked in... I will most likely be shopping at a different location or online.

They make wonderful suggestions for things I might like. They're always honest if something is working or doing nothing for me. I'll look online and kind of "preshop" then I go in and show them what I'd like to try on. The staff sets me up in the dressing room with my picks. I try on my picks and I'm out the door in no time. I'm immediately greeted with a "Hello, welcome to Lane Bryant!" Followed by, "Are you looking for anything specific or can I help you find something?" Great service really makes a shopping experience and I always enjoy visiting the Redding location. I'm a decades long LB shopper and obviously then love the clothes, so this review is more about the service level in the Redding store. I eyed a few items that were in the wrong size and before I could ask, Lonnie offered to look the items up online, and had them shipped to my home. He also offered style advice (as did the other Associate whose name I did not get), on a sweater I wasn't sure about due to the length. Lonnie gave me some style suggestions on how to wear it, and it went home with me. Great, personable, 1:1 service. I told Lonnie if he worked in Sac the store would sell out lol thanks again LB, for hiring staff that provide excellent service, with a few laughs and a smile.,

    I don't go to Kohl's anymore, so this is the only department store I occasionally frequent…read more I've been coming here for years, since I was a little boy! Now, the store feels a little behind the times - it needs a major upgrade if it's going to continue to be around in the future. Their selection of clothing is still pretty varied - have a lot of excellent men's dress attire, activewear, etc. They also offer home décor and other items like towels, bedding, etc. I agree that occasionally wait times at registers can be ridiculously long. At this point, why not try self-checkout? Sephora is here too, but I wouldn't ever use it because I'm a man. And the store is extremely lively and pleasant to frequent during the holiday season with the Christmas music playing, the decorations, the customers walking around the store looking for gifts, etc. Anyway, this is still a great department store for this city.

I paid to have my hair dyed, and it came out extremely patchy and uneven. Even the esthetician who did the service admitted out of her own mouth that I shouldn't have had to pay for such a poor result. Despite that, the salon manager refused to fix or redo the color to remedy the issue. What made the experience even worse is that I was still charged full price for a service that was clearly done incorrectly. There was no accountability and no effort to correct the mistake. I will never return to this salon again and cannot recommend it to anyone looking for professional service or quality results.

    God help you if you have mobility problems. After trying to walk the store for selection and then 1…read more(ONE) dressing room, and the back and forth for the right size wasn't bad enough. But, then there is only 1 check out area, with mostly self-checkouts (with no one to assist understanding how to use them) and 1 (ONE) register person with a waiting line of 5-6 customers. So, after having no choice, due to hip pain, I left the 2 clothing items at the self- check and had to endure the walk back to my car. What is so hard about hiring enough people to man more than 1 register and your self-check area?!

Both times, angelic people had taken both my items to the customer service kiosk in the back of the store without hesitation. Nothing was stolen out of my wallet and my glasses were intact when I got them back. I just wanted to thank those people and I hope that good karma comes back to them ten fold. There are good people everywhere! A review on the store itself: the staff are always kind and helpful. They have sooo many options for clothes and home decor. This has been my go to store for clothes shopping for the last decade or so and I'm always complimented on my outfits! Highly recommend this Kohl's and the lovely people who run it and shop there!
