I've been contemplating whether or not to post this review because of the love I have for this thrift store...with that being said and regardless of all my years shopping and spending here, I think I will because I'm really bothered. I also downloaded the YELP app to share this. My experience there today was sour. I found a hand basket that was (tugging at my heartstrings (one with a style I've been looking for) among all the other baskets, but this one said not for sale (NFS). But I thought I'd ask, thinking they'd have absolutely NO PROBLEM selling it to me because it was probably donated and free to them. One of the ladies up front when I asked said "Oh no, it says NFS" We can't sell that to you but one woman was like "Oh, if it's with the other baskets I don't see why not"... she took it to the back and asked if it could be sold? She returned and told me they (whoever) said NO! Why would you deny anybody/anything that you get for free when it can be replaced and you'll get another something just like it to use as display?wouldn't you want to sell somebody something especially when they bring up to the counter and ask if it can be sold when you are a thrift store?? I'm sure you get TONS donations, many of which are baskets!! Super irritating and like I've already stated..sour! read more

Great "thrift shop" with excellent quality merchandise. Very useful after Camp Fire. Glad there were decent places to replenish my wardrobe!

First and last visit to this store. I unfortunately didn't see the posted hours or CASH ONLY sign until it was too late. I walked in about 3:40 to abruptly being told "the store is closing in about 15 minutes"... okay, I'm a reseller so I had an idea of what I was looking for: quality designer or higher end items. I quickly shopped all while being appraised with a count down til closing, pretty much by the minute: "We're closing in 10 minutes. We're closing in 9 minutes.... in 8 minutes..." etc. I found 3 items. Found out at the register that they only take cash. Luckily I had enough change since I never carry cash (totally my fault, not theirs) but the whole experience felt very off putting. If you like rude old ladies and carry cash this is the perfect thrift store for you! read more

My new favorite thrift store!! Yesterday was my first visit and it was amazing. They not only had great deals, they take apple pay also! Everyone was helpful, plus they allowed me to make a little pile by the front cashiering desk. When I was all done they even helped me to my car with all my goodies! I recently went in the discovery shoppe when they reopened the beginning of May. As soon as I opened the door, a woman grabbed the door from me and almost yelled at me to wait, and kept saying "wait wait you can't come in! You have to wait!" After some confusion I figured they were counting the capacity of the store, but I was never told that, just booted out. After waiting, I was let into the store after someone left, I went to go start shopping and the lady very loudly told me to use hand sanitizer. I would have no problem with this, except that the hand sanitizer was against the entrance wall so you cannot see it when you walk in. I used the sanitizer and again went to start shopping when the lady leaned over and yelled in my ear "30 minutes!" When I gave her a puzzled look, she said " you need to leave in 30 minutes!" I perused the store and did find some amazing clothing. Their prices are great and they have amazingly clean and good quality garments, I did buy many items from them despite feeling uncomfortable. I decided to check out after 10 minutes of the lady watching me like I was a thief. The only signage they have about it being cash only is right at the front. As much I hate to say this, I will still shop there occasionally because of their prices and quality, but I felt extremely unwelcome, especially when they were very friendly to two other ladies in the store, but looked disgusted with me. I thought it might be what I was wearing but I was wearing a very modest sundress, coving my knees, a nice purse and nice sandals. I did not give off any appearance or behavior of someone who should be treated like that. read more

The shop was really cute and had a nice selection with very fair prices but to be honest I felt very uncomfortable because the women were giving my girlfriend very dirty looks for no reason and were blatantly staring at us the entire time we were there. I am a thrift store junkie and this is now my favorite thrift store ever! Got there close to closing, so I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked, but still scored some great finds. It's a small shop,but it's got quality as well as quantity. Good selection, more than reasonable prices, and the ladies working were awesome. Great attitudes even at closing time are hard to come by. Wouldn't let me in 12 minuets before closing. The lady was so rude about it, I laughed because I thought she was joking.

The worst customer service experience I've ever had. And I don't expect much. I came in here after farmer's market on Saturday morning. Immediately when I walked in they announced they were closing at 1:00; it was a little before 12:30. I found so many cute things. They let everyone know they were closing in twenty minutes so I got in line for the dressing room. One employee kept standing within five feet of me just looking at me and sighing and then walking away. I was so uncomfortable I almost left right then. Tried on my clothes. The employees kept asking each other if everyone was out and then saying one person (me) was in the dressing room. I called out 'I'm so sorry! Almost done! Just one more thing.' Mind you, it was NOT 1pm yet. I hurriedly tried on my last item, and loved it! I was putting my clothes back on when they called 'We are closing. Please come out'. I responded in a chipper voice, despite my irritation at the harassment that I had received for the past 30 minutes, 'like I said I just had one more thing!! I'm coming right out. Sorry!' And she said 'I'm sorry you do not have time to try it on please come out.' And some of the other employees said 'ooo' and started snickering because even they knew how rude it was. At this point I was so infuriated I left all of my clothes in the dressing room and didn't purchase any, nor will I ever go back despite the selection. As I walked out the door I looked at my phone; 12:59. They close at 1. They literally just couldn't wait to kick me out before 1:00, or wait two minutes for me to come out of my dressing room and then hand them my money. Also, they don't take cash. There are MANY other thrift stores in town, and clothing stores in general, with a good selection where you will be treated with respect and courtesy. I suggest you go there and skip this crowded, uncomfortable place. I could understand if it was after closing and I was some jerk taking forever, but that just wasn't the case. read more

Truly a shop one discovers! Tiny little thrift shop, adorable staff of very sweet elderly women, and very low prices with ongoing special promotions. A definite treasure. EDIT: Do not park in the lot immediately next to it. There is no designated parking for the store and you will be fined for parking in the lot. read more

I enjoy shopping at thrift stores. You never know what you will find. It changes each time you visit. This shop has been in Chico for decades. It benefits local charities. This is by far the best thrift store in all of Butte County. There is always a treasure to be found. The store is well organized and the prices are so low that you have to do a second glance to see if you are reading it correctly. Friendly staff and new merchandise is put out daily. Not much furniture but when they have it it is priced to move! read more
