Best pedicure around! Super clean, quiet and relaxing. Love this place!

Great find after 18 months of no manicures or pedicures. Lee and Theresa take real pride in their business and it shows. Wonderful mani pedi and no up charges for extra lotion or anything else. Plus the price is very reasonable. I felt extremely comfortable as they have taken extra measures to make sure the salon is as safe as possible. I came here for the first time & had one of the owners Theresa. I was very impressed with how meticulous Theresa was EACH nail. She made sure each nail was to my liking. She explained things thoroughly on why she did things a certain way. I've never had anyone spend as much time to detail as she did. It's a nice small place & the decor makes you feel comfortable and cozy. The place is very clean. The only downside is that it is more pricey than other places but you pay for quality. Definitely splurge on the spa pedicure once in awhile...the massages and callous scrub was excellent. read more

I'm not sure what nail salon you all went to but I have been going here for 15 years - even when it was L'Elysse and they are awesome! Theresa and Lee are great (the owners) and they do a great job. Call and make an appt; they do book in advance. If you walk in you will most likely get one of their other staff. Theresa has shellac for a good price also. read more

I read the excellent reviews and couldn't resist trying this place. All the good reviews before me are true. I made an appt the same day with Lee. I was early and he was waiting for me. Theresa greeted me as well. The place is fixed up really nice. I feel like they hired an interior decorator, but Theresa said she did it herself. There is a real relaxing nice vibe inside. Lee told me I have some damage to my nails ( fungus underneath) and how to deal with this. I have gone to the same person for over 5 years and they never mentioned this. I appreciated his honesty and help. The pedicure was excellent and when I asked for a unique design( not the normal flower) Linda came over and did something very different that I loved. Lee and Theresa are fantastic!!!! My manicure and pedicure are excellent quality. They respected my wishes (no cutting cuticles....please use my own polish and drying oil, etc) and applauded me for knowing what works for my nails. They are both incredibly nice and attentive. They both worked on me and got my spa pedicure and manicure done in a little bit over an hour. Lee also gave me a very nice foot massage including a hot stone massage!!! Very nice touch indeed. Also there massage chairs are the strongest I've ever sat in. Their salon is very clean and everything was sanitized. I'm a bit of a Germaphobe and have absolutely no complaints about the cleanliness! An extremely pleasant experience... I have found my new nail salon. read more

I've been getting pedicures from Lee and Theresa for 20 years. They are simply the best! The pedicures are so relaxing and the foot and leg massage is stellar. Lee is amazing at taking care of my toes and preventing any ingrown toenails. The shop is extremely clean and Lee and Theresa take such care and pride in their work. I've died and gone to Heavenly! Finally a salon that actually uses fresh equipment! I actually felt as if I was their only customer. Husband and wife team. Not rushed, extra time on massage and calluses and one full hour. I had the Pearl Pedicure for $50. An indulgence and well worth it!! One of the most bizarre experiences I have ever had in a manicure. I had sand, had just come from the beach. Theresa said, 'do you have a dog?' I said yes. She said 'you have dog poop under your nails I can smell it!' I would have walked out but we were already in process. Then she and Lee traded off twice working on me and all I was doing was having gel polish removed. read more

My experience was not good. They are friendly family run but Theresa, the manicurist, cut my cuticle to the bleeding point. She blamed me for pulling my finger back and that was why I bled. Don't think so. I was reacting to the cut. Anyway, I'm sorry to say I won't be going back. Things happen but don't blame your client, and an apology would have been good. read more

After being a customer of Heavenly Nails for over 25 years, I was still apprehensive in coming back during Covid times. Being a cancer survivor, I was extra sensitive to cleanliness and protocols. They had it all together, from temperature checks before entering, asking Covid association questions, hand washing immediately upon entering, signing in for contact tracing, plastic shields at manicure station and 3 sided plastic shields at pedicure chair. Theresa was double masked and Le also wore a mask. I felt very safe and clean. They did a fabulous job. There was only 1 other customer in the shop besides myself, clear at the other end of the shop. Theresa and Lee try, they really do. The shop is cute, and appears clean. Theresa is good about booking appointments to get you in and she is a perfectionist about making your nails right. Unfortunately, it can take her a looooong time. The bad news: I'm not sure what is worse, their incessant arguing, sometimes cranky moods, or rough treatment. (How can anyone do a good job when they are arguing with one another? It's embarrassing for the customer and appears to distract the manicurists from doing a quality job) As other Yelpers are stating here, the owner's can be rude to customers and are rather obvious about dissing customers right in their shop. On a good day, your nails will look good, not great, but good. Over time, their quality got worse and my nails often ended up thick and lumpy. (strange, if I asked about it, it was somehow my fault) I began to notice the polish was unevenly applied, my nails easily chipped and broke, and looked bad after a week. Sadly, both are heavy-handed with the clippers and file and claimed I was too sensitive. More than once, I bled after having cuticles nicked. Ouch! Throughout my time there I developed some kind of painful fungus behind my toes. That's scary, but since leaving their shop, I've never had it again. Found a wonderful new manicurist that I love who explained to me that my nail beds had been badly damaged as they had been filed way too low and would take time to heal. He referred to it as 'rough treatment' that should never happen if the right pressure is used. My nails are once again strong and beautiful, last almost a month, and I receive compliments all of the time. No more pain and it's much more enjoyable to go to a "happy" shop and enjoy my mani and pedi. read more

Called ahead for a pedicure after work this week and was pleasantly surprised when I only had to wait about 3 min. to actually be worked on....you see other places that I have been to say yes to any time that you want and then leave you sitting for 15 min. or more to begin your service. To all the nail places out there who do this I say "Just tell me that time won't work and give me a REAL time you can help me!" Time is valuable for everyone and I don't appreciate having to wait about if I managed to have presence of mind to call you ahead of time for an appointment! So, onto the actual establishment, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the place-new baggies of toe separators, wood cuticle tool & emery boards and they actually use a disinfectant in the foot tubs after each client and then scrub....I never trust just the soap and brush most use...my pedicure was thorough and I didn't have to pay extra for callus removal, etc.-correct me if I am wrong but that's kinda part and parcel of a pedicure. Polish job was great as well and I did not feel rushed even though is was closing time as I was waiting for my toes to dry. All-in-all, I will be back. I am happy to spend $25 for a full pedicure in a obviously clean establishment! read more

The couple that runs this place are very pleasant, friendly and customer service oriented. My mom and I went in for pedicures and they were running a bit behind starting mine. They were apologetic and without any prompting, went the extra mile offering upgrades on BOTH of our pedicures. They give awesome foot massages and our toes look great! Awesome value!! read more

I panicked when I saw the name 'Heavenly Nails.' This used to be L'Elysee Nails Spa that I loved to go when I needed to spoil and pamper myself! Noooo! They went belly up! As I peeked in, I noticed the same chairs, decor, and even staff. Oh... it's the same business, they just changed their name about a month ago. I don't know why. It doesn't matter because they still give me my money's worth. I'm not cheap, I like to think, but $25 for a spa pedi is on the high end. Yes, it is Encinitas. I guess. But really, it's worth it. I've gone to one around the area which is a little cheaper but this nail spa has nice massage spa chairs and really seems clean to me. I've been to places where it's been cheaper but I wouldn't be surprised if I got a little fungus after. So for peace of mind, the extra $7 is worth it. + Great calf massages + Good job cutting cuticles + They really scrub the bottom of your feet (ticklish feet beware) + They're open 7 days a week! Theresa and Lee at Heavenly Nails had been doing my nails (pedi & Acrylics) for many years when I lived in the area. This is the cleanest nail spa around. I moved away from San Diego in 2009 and returned to see them last week for a pedicure. OUTSTANDING as always. I am impressed at the excellent customer service and by the fact that Theresa remembers me after being away for 3 years. I really am made to feel at 'home' when I visit. I chose this nail salon based upon the other Yelp reviews I read. I went in to get a pedicure and expected more than I received. The leg massage lasted about 2 minutes and my 9 year old daughter could have done a much better polish job! The only reason I gave the place 2 stars instead of 1 was because it appeared to be a clean place. If you're in the area and looking to get a pedicure I would NOT go to Heavenly Nails. read more

I went on a Thursday afternoon and only three people were working. I was told to come back in thirty minutes and so I did. I felt the job was very rushed. The young lady who did my nails did an awful job cutting my cuticles. The best I can explain it is that some nails had plenty of cuticle left and some didn't and the others had uneven cuticles left and she worked so fast she even cut my flesh. She did not even apply any cuticle oil. The polish job was messy and the massage was rushed. She was working on autopilot the whole time and I felt she just wanted to be done with the job. The lady who did my toes did a sad job also. Massage was rushed. Polish job was messy. For $35 the least I expect is a nice meticulous polish job and a nice massage. I hate feeling rushed... I won't be going back and do not recommend this place. I am still looking for a place that can at least make my natural nails look nice and that I can be my regular spot.
