Well I've gotten a gift certificate for my birthday and I made an appointment for later today of which I need to come in earlier. So I thought I'd go and be there when they open. It reads they are open from 9-6 Monday thru Friday as well as walk ins welcome. So I was there at 8:55am and waited till 9:15am and then left a message and left. They did call back 10 minutes later said they had been stuck on the freeway. Not great business practice if you ask me. They said they didn't have any openings till 1pm. How does a nail place not have the ability to accommodate walk ins. Isn't volume how they sustain their business? And if they had arrived and we're ready to go on time they would have been able to fit me in! If you are going to post hours on your door and forget to turn off the open sign, you might want to hire staff that is going to be their as stated! Just saying so off I go to my good old place Cutee nails of which always gets me in in a timely manner and is cheaper may I add. Someday I'll redeem my gift certificate but until then I'll remain loyal to my usual place. Good thing in California gift certificates never expire! read more

I am literally sitting in the spa chair at this place getting an amazing foot&leg massage. After I just finished a 12 hour shift at the hospital and I LOVE this place. I'm here with my best friend and we are enjoying our time here. Decent prices. Very clean and organized. Plus it's off of the 101 highway right next to moonlight beach which is perfect to get pampered then relax on the beach. The staff here is very friendly and does exactly what you ask. Very Accommodating. Much easier to get into than other places in Encinitas. It's a good massage - basic pedicure has a longer massage than usual and includes hot stone and hot towel. Also because it's smaller than nearby places it smells a lot less toxic so I have been here while pregnant and had no issue :) read more

This place had the best service I have ever had at a nail place! We went in for spa pedicures and it was not rushed at all. They spent at least an hour on us and everything was perfect. They even kept conversation with us which usually when I get my nails done the manicurists are just talking among themselves the whole time. My wife and I have been going there for over 20 years and Lee and Theresa are some of the most honest and hard-working people I have met here in that time. They would NEVER do something like what she accuses them of! i happen to know the true story of what happened to Katy L. She and another friend from Boston came in and had work done. They paid for both services on one credit card charge--IT WAS NOT AN ADDED TIP! A very nice salon, very friendly proprietors, they seem to know everyone and enjoy hearing about their lives. My hands and feet were a compete disgusting mess when I went in, I ride horses and my nails were black with grit ground into my skin, I also walk barefoot a lot, you can only imagine what they had to deal with, and they made both my hands and feet look fabulous. I walked in on a Friday night at 5:15 to get a quick polish change on my toes. As I walked in the nail technician unhappily glared at me, looked at the clock, and asked what I needed. I told her that I just needed a polish change on my toes and she responded with "we can't right now" and turned around a began to walk away!!! I was a little shocked by her rude response especially since the sign on the door says that they close at 7 pm. If I had come in closer to the closing hour I would completely understand them being annoyed, but it was just a quick polish change at 5:15... As she was walking away I asked her if I could wait and how long the wait would be. She told me that it would be about 30 minutes which I told her was completely fine and I would wait. I didn't mind waiting at all since I live down the street and needed my polish change for an event first thing the next morning. I sat on the couch and patiently waited and was by no means upset about the wait. About 15 minutes later she tells me that a nail technician will be right with me "so I don't have to wait the 30 minutes, but I had to let him eat first because I came in during his break". I appreciate them being able to see me sooner, but this made me feel uncomfortable as a customer. I felt like I was a burden and she was trying to guilt trip me by telling me to let him eat. The nail technician that did my nails was very very nice and he did a great job which is why I give them two stars. Unfortunately, the nail technician that greeted me left a bad taste in my mouth as a first time customer so for that reason I won't be back. read more

My wife and I make this a saturday night ritual at least once a month and it is a great way to relax after a long week. Then we go to dinner. I found this salon one day while shopping and entered as a walk in. I was seen with 10 minutes and was very impressed. At a previous salon, I noticed that my toe nails looked strange, discolored and lumpy. During the pedicure, the nail came off. The girl had no explanation for me, only that they could paint the skin and it would look ok. When I was given the pedicure, Lee told me that I had a fungus, that it would require medication and could take up to year to resolve. I am a nurse, but had no experience with this condition. He gave me good information on how to take care of my feet. I received the topical medication from my physician and continued to go the Heavenly Nails for future pedicures. At each one, Lee would examine my feet and tell me about the progression of healing. Today, after only 3 months, I was told that the fungus has completely resolved on one foot and mostly on the other. He said that it was obvious that I had taken his advice and was pleased with the progress. I am thankful for his guidance and in helping me to participate in the healing of my feet. I recently moved back to San Diego and have been looking for a nice nail salon to enjoy mother-daughter mani/pedis once a month. Based upon the reviews (where did all the good ones go?) we drove from Poway to Heavenly Nails in Encinitas. We were promptly greeted and escorted to the manicure chairs. Both my mom and I have intense cuticles and were pleased to see them all removed! My nails were cleanly lacquered and upon completion I moved over to the spa pedicure chair. While my feet were soaking, I noticed how clean the salon was; they have procedures for cleaning the foot tubs posted, individualized packages of files and buffers and sanitized equipment (scissors, clippers, etc) ready for each client. While talking to the managers they informed how they do not like to overbook so the client does not feel rushed with someone waiting behind them for the seat. One of the best aspects of the salon is that the technicians know how to remove ingrown toenails without pain!!! So worth my $25 for a pedicure here!
