She was very direct and told us upfront it would be about a 20-minute wait, which I appreciated. While we waited, I sat in the car listening to the thunder and rain. There was something peaceful and simple about that moment and I loved it. My husband stayed inside to wait for the food. During that time, a couple came back in upset about the wait and asked for their money back. The owner had just returned from a family event and was clearly trying her best to make things right. Even when the couple was rude, she handled it with grace and empathy, saying, "I'm sad that we failed you." It was such a human moment. This is where Grump's five star review took a slide downward fast! The onion rings were decent but very expensive. Plus, I got only six in the little paper basket. My sweet potato fries were also expensive, slight on the quantity for the price, and mine showed up cold! My advice, save your money and don't order a side! The service is good. Friendly.
