Absolutely horrible fill that took just under TWO HOURS to do... my nails were 3 weeks old and looked better going in then coming out. Even after voicing how dissatisfied I was with how it looked and explaining it was not at all what I asked for she charges me $65. There is no price list for any service, MAJOR RED FLAG and the owner just makes it up as she goes. I asked for an itemized receipt and was not provided one. She's a scam artist that doesn't know what she is doing and charges as much as possible for awful service. Makes sense why the place is always empty and she's the only employee. This work is so sloppy and unprofessional. I'm honestly blown away. I don't know how she keeps the lights on. I would have been embarrassed to send a client out of my salon like this. There is lint in the gel that she charged an additional $20 for. These photos are after I asked for my nails to be cleaned up a little more. There are gobs of polish crusted up under my nail and around the cuticle. The nails are not the same shape or thickness. They're pointing in different directions from the way they were filed. They're lifting in the corners IMMEDIATELY after being done. Will never ever step foot here again. EDIT: it has been a day and my nail is already lifting off. I would not recommend ever going to this place. Got a regular mani and pedi and both look as if I did it myself drunk. The lady messed up my pedicure and when the lady doing my manicure noticed she called the other lady over to show her the mistake and they both started arguing and one slapped the other. They then continued to argue very loudly during the rest of my manicure causing the lady to rush through it and not do a proper job. The lady who got slapped ending up saying she's going to quit but attempted to fix my pedicure first but ended up just making it worse. I went in and I told them that I had prom later that day so they knew that it was a very important day for me. The lady next to me was waiting for a long time and because of that they were rushing my nails and the lady ended up walking out in the end. They didn't wait for the nail polish to finish drying before putting topcoat on. One of my nails is uneven at the tip and on one of my thumbs part of it is translucent so it needed another coat and she never fixed it. When I got in the car I started crying that's how bad my nails looked in person and I didn't have enough time to go to a different place before prom so I had to go with those same busted ass nails. I went there to get dip nails done. They were very nice and the salon was nice. One nail broke that day, and four more broke the next day.. I called two days after I got them done and she said that's never happened before implying that I'm lying.. I told her I would send her pictures and she said she will call me back after she finishes her client to resolve the issue... I never received a call back. I spent $100 in 3 days on just getting my nails done AND fixed. So over all, I am not happy with Healthy Nails and would not recommend it read more

I really wish I could love this place but sadly it's the worst nail place I've ever been. They worked really hard on my cuticles and I had to keep pulling my hands back to avoid the pain. And the only thing they said is "it's good" Apparently it wasn't good... they rushed trough my nails, and gel polish are all over my fingers. The lady did my nails was really inpatient just kept telling me it's good don't even let me to look at it until it's all done. Besides that, all the tools they used were not from sterilized packages which made me really uncomfortable. I went here for the first time after my regular salon was closed due to inclement weather. I waited about 40 minutes to be helped, which was fine because I was a walk-in and there was only one person working due to the snow. Lena was my nail technician and she was super friendly and helpful the entire time. She fixed two broken nails and reshaped and cut down the rest of my nails, making sure that I was happy and comfortable the entire time. She was intent on making sure that my nails were perfect and that I was pleased with the results. My nails turned out beautifully, and I will definitely be going back. read more

I so wanted to like this salon. It's less than 5 minutes from where I live and would be so convenient for me. This was my second visit. I had been a year or so ago and was not impressed so when my manicurist from another salon moved out of state I decided to give this one another shot. Unfortunately there's not a whole lot of good I can say. The tools they used did not come to me in a sterilized packet like I'm used to so I didn't feel comfortable that they were cleaned properly. The actual manicure/ pedicure I received was average - nothing particularly great nor awful. The reason for my one star is that the owner started yelling (in Vietnamese) at the woman who did my pedicure (Mei) when my took me to her station for my manicure. The owner apparently wanted to do my manicure. A verbal assault continued for at least 5 minutes with the two yelling at one another. I was VERY uncomfortable. Mei apologized to me several times as she completed my manicure. The owner said nothing and remained either on the phone or iPad the remainder of my time there. This is the worst manicure that I have ever received. Gel polish all over my fingers, nothing close to the color I asked for. Three different nail techs worked to correct the horrible initial job. I recently moved to the area and came across Healthy Nails as the closest to where I lived. I have been coming here religiously every 3 weeks since I've moved here and I'm not disappointed! Lena, the owner, does an amazing job on "ombre" gel dip powder nails - this is something completely different for me as I was a typical Pink/White Acrylics girl for 10+ years. I love how I can do something different, and the dip powder is soaked off at every visit so it's never thick at re-application and it always lasts 3 weeks, probably could last 4 weeks if I wanted, but i like changing it up. The price is costly, moreso than acrylics, but the work and time that goes into this is more than acrylics as well. For "ombre" (2 color) gel dip powder its $50 (and it's basically a "new set" each time since you soak off your set from before), and for 1 color its only $40. Something new for me - CT charges sales tax on services, so there will be sales tax on top of these costs. Lena has been wonderful - very customer focused and does a great job! They do take credit card, she has an attachment for her ipad allowing you to swipe/insert your card! read more

Figured I would leave a review for their eyebrow waxing service since I didn't see any when I was looking if this would be a place to go! Very clean place. Only reason this is getting four stars instead of five is because the woman was on the phone for a few minutes when I walked in instead of helping me. Anyways, for waxing they bring you into a separate room and lay you down on a doctor like table. She asked if I wanted my eyebrows thin or natural (which was a HUGE plus because I was super nervous being the first time that they would come out thin) and took her time on them, making conversation here and there. Since stuck here in CT for work I decided to visit this now nearby salon was there for 2 1/2 hours she got busy with her apportionments people showing up. who did my services (Mei) only one there. Paid $45 for manicure, pedicure & eyebrows. The lady she didn't wash her hands in between customers who knows if the if pedicure bowl was sanitize. waxing table I'm laying on a towel that didn't get change out. I am sad to do this, but I need to change my review. Although Healthy Nails was clean and the staff friendly, I had issues with the nail polish peeling. I got a pedicure and have never had that problem before. I went back for them to fix, which they did at no charge, however my nails still peeled. Very frustrating. Susan and Lena are fabulous! Friendly, welcoming, and super sweet. Healthy Nails is a refreshing and clean salon. You can tell they take pride in their salon and their work, they don't rush you out the door. I'm giving 3 stars because of every aspect of this place-cleanliness, friendliness, quickness, etc. However, my nails started chipping after one day. I have one weekday off every 3 weeks and that is the day I get my nails done. To chip after one day is ridiculous. I really thought I found my new place. I really, really wanted to give this place a great review because it really is very friendly and warm. However, to be objective, the polish I got on my toenails already look chipped after half a day (even though it's supposedly gel), and two of my fingers bled during my manicure. The gel polish on my toes and fingers also don't match (my toes are a lot less shiny and more chipped/uneven) even though they came from the same bottle. All in all, I came in excited because of the reviews online, but left disappointed at the quality of the actual mani-pedi. The customer service really is amazing though!
