Emily and the male tend to be VERY quick. Emily removed my gel polish, did the fill, and painted a new gel polish in 29 minutes. That has to be record time!! The place is clean, other customers are always friendly, and the polish lasts a good while. I have done the $20 pedicure once and wasn't impressed. It was quick and not very pampering, so I go elsewhere when I want a pedi. read more

This place is terrible! I've gone to them several times and they have usually done an OK job - they ALWAYS rush. Last time I went I asked for the color #16 and they gave me the wrong color and insisted it was right. I told them it wasn't the same but they continued anyways. John, the owner, did a stellar job on my nails. I've been doing dip gel for two months now at other places and his set is the best. When we finished, the top coat was funky on 3 nails when and he quickly fixed back to perfect. I care most about the details: no paint on cuticles and smooth finish. He nailed it! Made an appt for 6:15- what they chose. I waited til after 6:30. They close at 7 so of course it was rushed. I came with half chipped off gel Polish and went with a dip manicure they added $5 to the total to take 5 min to remove it. I've never been to a a place that does this. It's always apart of the service. So if I keep going back you'll charge me $5 extra every time? Why not just say is cost $45. Which is ridiculous by the way. I'll keep going down the st to spa nail Express where they take their time, talk to you, massage you while drying, do a full hand massage with hot towels and lotion, offer you water and candy. And it's $10 less This woman didn't even remove my cuticles. How do you call this a manicure? Never again Oh and they say 10% off for cash and then "add" tax. Which they randomly round up the number. And they try and harass you at the door to pay cash. We all know your stashing that and trying not to pay taxes on it. Be a little more hush hush about it will ya? And get better service. The pedi I received was nice. Nothing special, but good. Nails look ok. The acrylic set that was done on my finger nails, NO BUENO! The whole nails weren't painted. The lengths weren't even. It's only been 2 days and 3 of my nails have already chipped. As soon as other customers came into the door, my services were rushed. Customer service was mediocre. Got a gel fill and a day later the polish was chipping from the end of my nail. My friend had gotten the same color a week prior and it had chipped as well. This has never happened, so her and I went back and showed them how both of our nails were chipping and they were the same color. I asked if they would do a different color and she argued and said I would have to pay for a color change so I gave up arguing and said "If it chips again I will be back" and a day later the chipping started again so I called immediately and told them I was going to come back. Today I went and I said very nicely that I think its the color and she once again blamed me saying I am the only one this has happened to yet I literally showed them that my friend with the same color had the same issue. They were all so unfriendly and wanted to continue to blame it on me. She also had to fix one of my nails that broke and did a poor job; rushed and could care less. At this point I was not going to argue anymore. I just wanted a different color and to get out of there so I never will have to come back. The customer service is so poor and all they care about is being so cheap with products and its always the customers fault, yet we are paying a price to have nails that last and I even pay extra for gel so chipping should never even be an issue. I am so disappointed that I even gave this place a try and gave them my money. I would never suggest this place to anyone. You so get what you pay for. If you're looking for a mediocre pedi go here. I'm used to foot massage, hot stones, scrub and lotion. Here scrub was some blue gel slathered on and rinsed off in less than 1 minute! Bending of the toes to try to trim, file or paint. No TLC here. Quick in and out and on to the next. I also didn't appreciate the constant up sell for other services, nails, brows...I'll happily pay the $8 more for the slow pampered pedi with massage chairs, and shoulder massage as you sit under the dryer at Soho. read more

I was getting my nails done with my mom and sister to go down to Florida and I was not pleased with the nails , the lady didn't know what rhinestones were and she got nail glue all over my nail because of the rhinestone . My nails have bubbles and they just suck . Don't waste you're time here they over charge for the smallest stuff and it's not worth the money . This place is the worst. I went in three weeks ago to get my nails done for a family event. They rushed me through my services and even though they advertise for a $22 pedicure somehow mine was closer to $35. That's not even the worst part. I went back today to get the dip powder polish off. I was told when they did it it comes off just like the gel polish. Well I guess that was a lie the woman spent 30 minutes sanding down my nails with the buffer drill. At one point she even caught my finger with the buffer cutting my finger and she said nothing. After it was done she charged me $15 just to take off my polish and there was stuff stuck to my fingers! When I asked her to take care of it she said oh just wash hands it comes off. I have washed my hands twice so far and it is still stuck all over my hands. Please save yourself the time and go elsewhere you with thank yourself in the long run. read more

Came in to get a gel manicure, she rushed through it, and when I asked her to fix the shape the owner gave me a lot of attitude. And then refused to put another layer of top coat on. You would think they would treat first time customers with some respect so they would come back. I will NOT be coming back and will be returning to my old place and spending the extra money. Went for a pedicure, I've been to several salons over the years, but this was a JOKE. There's a lot of ways to try and skimp on pedis and service but this lady literally wasn't even looking at my toes while painting because there was some thing on the tv all the workers were watching, she cut my pinky toe diagonal?? Fine it's grows back, but WORST part she had only painted 75% of each toe, like if you can't even cover my whole nail in polish, whatareyoudoing. I've never had to ask someone to add polish for the fact they were half painted, and 8 year old would have done a better job I swear. Wish I could give zero, like there's sooooo much that can go wrong in salon services but if you wont even look at what your doing and paint the whole damn nail...like that's the literal bare minimum of your job. I decided to try a new nail salon closer to my house then the one I usually go to. I decided to try out Rainbow Nails. I called this afternoon asking for an appointment either today or tomorrow. I was pleasantly pleased when they told me I could come in at 5 p.m. for tonight. I got there 10 minutes early and was told to sit in the waiting area and someone would be right with me. At 5:15, after taking another customer who walked in after me, they told me to sit at a station and someone will be right with me. After another 15 minutes, it's 5:30 p.m at this point, I decided that I wasn't going to wait anymore. I got up and walked out without a glance from any of the employees. I have been going to see Emily and John for years, even when they owned Emily's nails. Now that they own Rainbow nails I still go see them and I love it. I get acrylic nails and I have never had my nails done anywhere else where they look natural. As for the pedicure it is a basic pedicure for 20 but they do offer a deluxe pedicure for a little more that includes a hot stone massage, and a foot and leg mask.
