They always do as I've requested. They do not try to upsell more services. I ask for a specific person and she is consistently good (and my feet are a challenge!). Folks who work there are always pleasant. There is no chemical odor in the space- and it is always appearing clean. A serene atmosphere, foot soaks, vibrating chairs and calming music add to more of a spa-like feel. It's a treat to go to Elle. read more

My girlfriend was having a bad day so we wanted to go and get our nails done. It was myself and two other ladies. I moved to town about a year ago so I'm just becoming familiar with the places so I called around to a couple of the local nail salons and we could not get in. I called L nails and they were able to get us in within the next four hours which was awesome. The place was clean and had a lot of nail color choices I got a new gel set. I had gel on previously and he didn't remove all of it you can still see it under my new polish. disgusting. then he painted over my cuticles and missed the sides of my nail. and wait there's more. He then left a bunch of cured gel on the inside of my nail and on my skin around the nail. i hate this place im never going back. read more

I went to Elle nail salon in Tolland yesterday August 5,2022 for a pedicure. The man that did my pedicure used a file to take dead skin off and took more skin than he should have. Also used the same file that he used on someone else's feet that to me is unsanitary. I started feeling pain when I got to my vehicle. I will NEVER go to them again. read more

Clean, friendly, great customer service. Had a gel mani and regular pedicure. Charlie took his time on the mani, gave my nails a great shape and I got a back massage and hot towel treatment. $38 for the gel, but worth it. I think the pedi was around $30. I put my shoes on too early and realized I smudged both big toes on my way out. Came back in and Charlie immediately did a polish change, and gave me a topcoat to help with drying. This place is great! Finally a nail / waxing salon in Tolland - and worth going to. I have been here numerous occasions and would go more frequently if I lived in CT; however I am in NYC but grew up in Tolland. Regardless, I am in my 20's my mom in her 50's and my granny in her 90's and all three of us love this place. The owner is Moon and she and her talented and friendly staff are wonderful! They are gentle yet firm with their mani/pedis and they took such amazing care of my 95 year old granny. They were so sweet and made her feel so pampered. They place is warm feeling and very clean, spotless even. No worries in that department. Everyone can get their own personal box with files and other tools to ensure a personal and "sterile" experience. Additionally I got a bikini wax (brazilian to be exact) and Moon and another lady worked with me and it was as a good wax should be. It took a little while, they did not rush to get me in and out of there in 10 minutes like other places I have been. They made sure I was always comfortable, making sure nothing was too hot and so forth. They even gave me a heated towel to put under my back to make me even more comfortable and were able to give me one of the best wax jobs I have ever had. (I do not have difficult areas so if you have thick, hard to work with areas I cannot speak directly to that, but I bet you'd be in good hands). For the first time I had almost zero ingrown after a wax as well. The prices were average and 100% worth it. The staff will get to learn your name and face and you will be so happy they did. read more

I am so pleased that I found this place. I went with my friends, the day before her wedding, and the staff was all super nice, friendly and outgoing. They treated us like VIPs and even have us a nice little gift. Amy did my manicure and pedicure and she did a fabulous job. She was attentive, friendly and the manicure/pedicure came out great! My friend had Paige and had the same experience. We also had a great encounter with Moon, who was funny and darling! The prices are extremely reasonable for the great service you get. So I tried Elle nail salon twice, both times the gel broke, not my nails, the price is up to twice the going price at almost all nail salons around, owner stares due to better gel which is baloney. Cost thier for same thing at Elle but better quality at previous salon 43.00 with tax gel and color oh yea and OPI! Got charged for broken gel repair won't be going back!!! I love this salon. far superior to the others I have been to in this area. My gel mani lasts over 2 weeks and the place is clean and relaxing. Not loud - and even as a newcomer the technicians were welcoming which is not usually the case. Every gel mani comes with a little shoulder massage too! It's amazing. This was the worst pedicure I have ever gotten and was pretty pricey. It's pretty standard for a pedicure to last for an hour, we were lucky if it lasted even 30 minutes. Then when we went to pay we were informed they don't accept cards which is not posted anywhere in the store. And told to use the ATM. To top it off, since we didn't find the service to be up to par we were not tipping 15%... we instead chose to tip 10% (I usually tip 20% for exceptional service) and the gentleman yelled at us and told us that we had to tip more because it standard to tip 20 to 25%. So incredible rude, a tip is not a guarantee but the service there was lackluster and honestly they were lucky we're were tipping at all. I do not recommend going here ever. read more

I went here today with a friend for a mani pedi and had the best experience! The two women were so nice and friendly. They talked to us, they spent a good amount of time making sure everything looked perfect, and most importantly, they didn't rush us out. I've notice some nail salons rush you out but here, they didn't. Everything was clean, the price was not bad at all, and the place itself always looks nice. The nails came out great, too! I loved this place. I got a pedicure (just the generic one- they offer a variety of pretty pricey specialty pedi's but I opted for the generic). I have to say it was one of the best I've ever had. This woman spent at least 50 minutes grooming nails, cuting cuticles, buffing away calluses, painting, etc. They have great massage chairs and she even rubbed my neck as my nails were drying!! This place really does do a stellar job...but you have to pay for that quality. Prices are quite a bit steeper than other nail salons in the area but to be honest as a treat every once in a while you can't put a price on being treated like a princess :) HINT: stop by weekdays for discounts! read more

I have been going to this salon for a year and always had a good experience but not this time. Although I was greeted with the same friendliness as usual the remainder of the visit was disappointing. The woman did everything possible to rush me through the appointment. The water was alternately cold and scalding hot, she forgot to exfoliate my left foot until I reminded her, there was no leg or foot massage,she skipped the toe separators and finally after a quick perfunctory shoulder massage she told me my toes were dry enough to leave if I was "careful" and nearly pushed me out the door. I will be looking elsewhere for the relaxing experience I expect from a pedicure. read more

I was looking for a local place to have a manicure done (my first manicure ever, so I wasn't sure what to look for), and after seeing Kate B.'s review, I decided to try Elle Nails. The women were friendly and the shop seemed clean. However, during the manicure, my fingers were cut twice (deep enough that one bled a little and both spots scabbed over) while my cuticles were being trimmed. Not knowing if that was normal or not, I didn't say anything about it and still left a good tip. After speaking with some friends, I realize I probably don't have too much to worry about. I believe the tools used were sterilized, so the spread of disease isn't too much of a concern. However, according to my friends, it isn't normal to be cut to the point of bleeding during a manicure. I will probably look elsewhere next time I need one. read more

I went to Elle Nails with my elderly mom who has Alzheimers. I went into the shop and asked to have her nails filled, and how much - they said $38.00. They asked me what kind of nails I told them acrylic. They never said they did not do acrylic; instead they put her with a totally inexperienced technician. He took 2 hours and 15 minutes for a fill and her nails were bubbly, different lengths etc. It took so long that I had to call my niece to sit with her and take her home. When they went to pay they charged her $90!! - I immediately called the salon and was told they don't do acrylic and they had to remove the old nails and put on a new set! This was never said to me prior - I was quoted $38 - and $48 for a french - this place is awful! would NEVER RETURN! read more
