HORRIBLE NEW OWNER AND PHARMACIST I have used this pharmacy many times in the past and had a good experience, there is now a new owner who is the pharmacist. My physician sent a prescription to Health Choice for me this morning. I needed this medication urgently so I called, just to check, that they did in fact get the prescription. The staff member confirmed that they received the prescription. I let her know that it was urgent for me to receive the medication as soon as possible, and that they do not need to put it through my insurance and that when it was ready I would be happy to pay the full amount in cash. I was not rude and I did not demand that they rush. I simply confirmed that they did receive the prescription. The woman asked that I call back in 15 minutes to check if it's ready to be picked up. I called back about 45 mins later, only to check if it was ready, she asked that I give them another 15 mins and call again to check. I was not upset and was not rude. I waited another half hour and when I called again, just to check, the new pharmacist, ARSEN, informed me that No they have not received ANY PRESCRIPTION for me at all!! I was very alarmed as I am very sick and have now been waiting hours. I explained that I spoke to 2 people that said that they did receive it today. Arsen then told me that he "doesnt like my attitude" and that he would only "give me one chance to be nice" otherwise he would "hang up the phone" and refuse to fill my prescription! He then realized that he made a mistake and that he DOES have a prescription for me, but has yet to fill it. I was not demanding that he hurry up, I was not yelling, I was crying because I am very sick and suffering. I asked that he not THREATN to hang up on me/not fill my prescription/prevent me from filling my medically necessary prescription at a different pharmacy. Arsen hung up the phone on me. I called back 3 times sobbing and each time Arsen yelled at his staff to hang up on me. It was on the 4th time that I called back the woman that answered the phone apologized for his behavior and said that theres nothing she could do because he is the owner. On the 5th time I called the woman said that if I come in the store she will be able to give me the prescription.
WHen I arrived I saw a man outside screaming at a delivery worker. This was Arsen. He followed me in the store and screamed at one of his female employees. He then answered a phone call and screamed ABSOULTELY NOT to the caller and hung up on that person. While I was paying he screamed at the female cashier. This behavior is abusive toward women, patients and shows complete disregard for customers. I will be filing complaints with 311, the NYS Board of Pharmacists in addition to pursuing criminal charges. Arsen told me that he looks forward to calling his lawyer. read more
