While I think the staff here sometimes could be more attentive, it's not their fault there's maybe 2 employees manning the whole store. I did go here a lot, and what pissed me off the most were the times that the line was at least 6 people deep, one poor guy is at the register doing his best, and the manager is just casually doing inventory 2 aisles over. I've also seen her reprimand employees in similar impossible situations instead of stepping up and manning another register herself. This is a bad pharmacy and that's mostly because of corporate bs, but that doesn't mean they should be THIS bad, and the manager should be a better leader instead of dumping on the employees who are trying their best for the most part.

As expected, they were not going to deliver. I called the day before my scheduled delivery and they tried to claim I picked up my prescription from somewhere else, they then tried to claim my insurance denied the claim despite me having proof of claim approval and my insurance company on the call. They claim they reversed the claim and refused to provide proof. I on the other hand I do have proof that they put in a claim on the 11th, then reversed it, then put it in again on the 13th. long story short they forced me to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket for a prescription my insurance is telling me is covered because they knew I couldn't live without it and would be forced to cave. I will never use these people again! You shouldn't either. read more

She's been coming here for over 20 years to get her compounded medication, and used to bring me with her when I was younger. None of the snobby attitudes you get at the Walgreens/Duane Reade around the city. Everything is fairly priced, and when I didn't have insurance, the pharmacist had helped me find a GoodRx code to get the lowest price possible. That says a lot about a person, which is truly heartwarming. I also love that their convenience shop area aren't locked up, so I can actually shop without having to flag an employee down. I don't live in South Slope anymore, but this is one of my favorite neighborhoods in NYC. She went on to receive a Master's Degree in Education and is a teacher now. The Beanie Babies are packed away in tissue paper and will be given to her children.
