It featured apples, banana, mango and ginger and it was full of flavour. It was sweet and tart and definitely a must try! Drunken Monkey with spinach: - I ordered the Drunken Monkey with vegan protein powder and spinach. I found my drink lacked a bit of flavour (they scoop the fruit into the cup before blending and a big chunk of fruit created a big air hole, which I think is the reason my drink lacked flavour) but I was really happy with the whole ingredients used and the added protein powder. My husband and I hadn't had Booster Juice in years, so when he said he was craving their Mango Hurricane smoothie, I said why not. It was cold and snowy yesterday, and you'd think we'd be in the mood for soup or some other comfort food, but nope. My husband I each got a regular combo, which comes with a regular size smoothie (with one free booster) and a grilled sandwich. He got a classic Mango Hurricane smoothie with an Energy Booster, plus a Power Booster and Warrior Booster, and a BBQ chicken panini. He thought it was decent - refreshing smoothie as usual and the panini was good, but small. I got a "Refresh" Unbeetable smoothie with a Warrior Booster plus a Wilderness Booster and ginger, and a chipotle chicken wrap. I had never tried this smoothie before, but it sounded like something I'd like, with beets, carrots, strawberries, mangos, and apples. I had to look up the boosters on their website because I couldn't remember what was in them. The Warrior Booster has echinacea, goldenseal, and Gingko biloba. The Wilderness Booster has spirulina, barley grass, wheatgrass, and alfalfa powder. I convinced myself these would make it healthier, but I should've remembered how much sugar was in it (plus the Gingko) because I ended up being up all night. It was good, but it was a lot sweeter than I expected and I had hoped for more beet/carrot/apple/ginger, but I tasted more strawberries/mangoes/apples. The chipotle wrap was still warm and toasty, which was great, but I was surprised at how small it was. I don't know what I expected, but I didn't think it was so small (long, but thin and not a lot of fillings). The flavour was pretty good, though. It was definitely a better wrap than I remember having years ago. It had grilled chicken strips, Monterey Jack cheese, chipotle sauce, mixed bell peppers, and red onions in a whole wheat tortilla, and I believe slightly toasted in a panini press, but the bread was still soft and pliable. The additional boosters are 55 cents each, additional fruits, veggies (including lemon juice and the ginger I got), and any liquid substitutes are 83 cents each. Other additions like protein powder, chia seeds, and hemp hearts vary in price from 83 cents to $1.65. You can customize quite a bit, but it'll cost ya! Without any additions, the combo isn't a bad deal ($16.52 taxes in). You can get any regular size smoothie (they can go up to $8.46+tax on their own), which I think is worth more than the super thin sandwich with a $8.35+tax price tag on its own, with the exception of the breakfast sandwiches that are cheaper.
