I really try to be supportive of small businesses, especially restaurants. This was my second time here. I came to my breakfast with my daughter. I really had high hopes. Last time I was here... I admit it's been a while. First off the restaurant was supposedly to open at 8. The doors were still locked at 8:05. After waiting outside with other diners, they finally open the door at 8:10. The woman who let us in, I didn't recognize her, nor did I recognize the female cook in the kitchen. The you male waiter wasn't there either. Looks like they have had some turnover in staff. After we were seated, we got some menus. As other diners came in we were ignored. It took a while to get our orders taken. The waitress was by herself, she was also the person who opened the door. She was stretched too thin. I ordered a Chile relleno omelette with green sauce and my daughter ordered the Spanish omelette. She ordered hash browns on the side. Our food came with refried beans. The food was very disappointing. The green sauce was like a thick green water with corn starch. The egg was over cooked. The omelette split in half when I cut it. It lacked cheese and flavor the refried beans or some of the worst ones I've ever had. They tasted like they came out of a can--metallic taste. My daughter was not a fan of her breakfast either. When she cut into her omelette a bunch of water came out. The hashbrowns were so over cooked and dry. I will have to come at dinner time and give it a try, but this is definitely not a place I would eat at for breakfast again. The service was slow. Everyone has a bad day. I know there's a shortage of staff everywhere. I can take bad service or slow service if the food is great. Not so this visit They pride themselves in being one of the best places for Mexican food. I have definitely had my share of Mexican food and this is not the best.

Came with friend for breakfast after almost 3 years due to bad experience last time. Was seated right away and our waiter took our orders right away and kept my coffee cup refilled often. Place is much cleaner (table top not greasy and no leftover debris). I ordered the Western Omelet with Hash Browns and toast (sadly out of English Muffins), with side of salsa. Food came quickly and there was a ton of it! It was really tasty and I really enjoyed it. My friend got the biscuits and gravy and he really enjoyed it as well. I was pretty impressed with the improvement since my last visit. Thanks for a great breakfast.

Tried breakfast here and was quite disappointed. Bacon looked precooked and the hashbrowns were under done. Try Sunrise Cafe instead.

Was pretty good for breakfast, not so much anymore. Not just dirty & rundown, but a general lack of care at all. No Bueno!

Good food, good prices. Service is average. Could use extra help when busy. Only have breakfast, but chips and salsa are tasty.

Very good food. Sometimes it gets busy but the staff works their butts off to make it great local spot to eat.

This gem of a restaurant is absolutely fantastic…read more It's a little difficult to get to if you don't know the directions, but it's in an old-timey building that was once a consignment store. It's cool though because it's rustic while providing outdoor seating both upstairs and downstairs. This place kind of looks like a barn but in a very vintage, very cool way. The space within is open and comfortable; tables are reasonably distanced from each other, there's a stage with a drum set and mic for live music, and country themed string lights wrapped around the stair rails and upstairs banisters. Country music plays in the background and on the TVs above the stage while sports play on other screens across the restaurant. Shelby was very nice. When we initially arrived, she was the only server, so her manager stepped in to take our orders and help. I love this because more managers should be hands on and help their employees. I can't speak for the drink menu while I'm sober, but the food is as roadhouse as you get, but in a great way that isn't generic. You can taste the smoky flavor in the sliders from the sampler and even in the baseball sirloin. The meat is very tender. Even the chicken in the sampler was moist and tender. The cowboy bites were addictive with cheesy goodness and mushroom juice exploding on your tongue. Not a fan of the asparagus, which I felt was bland and overcooked, but asparagus is very difficult to get right, even among experienced cooks. The potatoes had too much garlic, but my husband liked them, so I guess that comes down to subjectivity. He loved the ribs. Excellent service and food for a moderate price. The steaks can get up there in price, so be prepared to dig a little deep, but everything is appropriately priced for what you're receiving. On our way out, a server greeted a pair of customers with genuine excitement: "Oh you're back!" And they told her they returned because of her. I think more people should understand that customers get attached to servers. So good service matters for more than a review or requirement. It makes people feel good, and it makes the servers feel good too when the service is genuine. I am inclined to agree. Everything about this restaurant was excellent.

The staff was friendly and helpful throughout. Our ticket included a bbq buffet lunch at the restaurant afterwards, where they also gave awards. Since I don't eat meat, I ordered at the restaurant. I ordered the picado with shrimp which comes with rice, lettuce, grilled onions, jalapeños, bell peppers, tomatoes, cheese, and chipotle ranch. It was pretty tasty and had a nice kick! I was grateful they had some pescatarian options. I also enjoyed a glass of bubbly to celebrate our game. Service was excellent. The course was in good shape and was fun and challenging to play. The only reason they get three stars is because our server took the food that wasn't eaten off of the tab without being asked. We walked in and sat ourselves, as the sign said to do, and there was one person working - bartending and taking orders. She saw us sit and came over quickly, but it took a really long time to get our drinks, once ordered. Not her fault, she was alone. Still not ideal though. When my mimosa arrived, it was warm and I ended up asking for a glass of ice to cool it down. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and asked for my side of hashbrowns to be extra crispy (spoiler alert, they were not). When my food arrived, everything on the plate was lukewarm and underdone. The gravy was too cool and congealed and inedible, the hashbrowns were limp and barely browned, the eggs were rubber. When the server checked on us, I asked for my food to be reheated and when it came back, only the biscuit had been slightly warmed. Everything else came back colder than when I sent it back. The server was nice about everything and comped my meal because I didn't eat it - pictured is what I received after it came back from the kitchen the second time. I just wasn't impressed. The drink was warm, the food was cold. Nothing was the right temperature. Severely understaffed. Good on the server we had for being so nice about everything, but I doubt I'll be back.
