The famous "grilled loose leaf paper" chicken sliders from Caesar's. (No toppings were altered to take this picture) seriously.

Well Caesars Sportsbook was pretty bad which is unfortunate because we live close enough to go there all the time. We had an extremely underwhelming experience from our server Nita who got our order wrong (fried instead of grilled chicken), and then when we said the new ones that they brought us (after 30 minutes) looked small she said "well that's because they don't have the breading". Ah ok gus, that is true, same way I don't think a grilled chicken breast should resemble a slice of cheese if we're getting technical, 'Nites. She also never said sorry for getting our order wrong or did anything in the way of problem solving. The wings I got were undercooked with zero flavor. They have a lot of work to do all over the place, front of house and in the kitchen to reach minimum dining standards. Attached is a picture of the sliders I had to take home for evidence. Pretty comical. Alternatively Draft Kings sports bar in North Scottsdale has incredible service and amazing food every time I go there. Worth the hour drive in the other direction 100%.

First time at Ak Chin Hotel Casino. Stayed two nights for business. Arrived about 3:00 and was advised about a $35 early check in fee and opted to wait 45 minutes in the lobby. Looked over the Yelp reviews as I was waiting and surprised at the low rating for the hotel casino. Hmmm, wondering if I should have stayed elsewhere? Got registered, found the elevator after wandering around and got to my room. It was clean, comfortable king size bed. Free lower speed internet. Room had all the amenities. No house keeping service when got back to the room. Didn't have any meals at Hotel. Did not gamble in casino. Room rate was reasonable. Space met my needs. Left a tip for housekeeping. Would stay here again.

The view poolside from our section of the hotel.

First off, I am not a gambler and we were traveling through from Lake Havasu to Tucson and decided to take our time, hang out a bit in Maricopa, explore and enjoy our drive. So being not a gambler, we used Harrah's as an overnight stay kinda place. My friend who was with me played a bit and he came out ahead, a few hundreds in fact, so that pleased him. As for me, the amenities, the restaurants, the pool and grounds were plenty pleasant and I enjoyed them. The rooms are clean, bed linens and pillowcases felt new, everything had a sense of cleanliness. Our room faced the pool and I enjoyed that, so if I had a recommendation, opt for a poolside view. In the morning, the area had a stench of cow, but that's the area, nothin' to do with the hotel, however, I'm just sayin'.

This place was exactly what we need in an overnight stay. The property is beautiful and clean. The customer service was on point and the whole staff serves kudos. Not one person let us walk by without saying hello or have a good night or have a safe trip or something nice. Our room was 1260 and it was comfortable and beautiful. The pool area is huge and really nice. Water was perfect. I didn't win any money but my room was free so I was all around happy. Didn't try any restaurants as it was late by time we checked in but we willl next time.

It really wasn't all that great. We had drinks but the rooms, the service around the casino and hotel and other areas was just lacking. It's been better in the past. I don't know. We went with my aunt and uncle and they had about the same experience. Maybe next time.

Yesterday, I went to see Theresa Caputo at this hotel. The check in was nice but I wasn't happy that they put me in Cactus Tower (the cheap side even though I paid $350 for my room). I found out later that the Ak-Chin Tower had bigger rooms. The next problem is they made us wait outside in the cold to enter the Event room and only had two people scanning tickets! 30 minutes later I'm finally the theater and I see regular chairs set up extremely close together! I thought it would be like seating for a concert. Every time someone came past me they stepped on my feet or almost fell on top of me! Needless to say, I will never go back to this hotel for anything. BTW, Theresa Caputo was amazing!

We went into 3 restaurants...none of them would seat us in a booth, because there were only 2 of us. Customers obviously are not important.

Ask the Community - Harrah's Ak-Chin Hotel And Casino

    Did this buffet ever reopen?

I was there today and unfortunately no it hasn't reopened.

    Do they have bingo?

Yes they do. Here's the link: https://www.caesars.com/harrahs-ak-chin/casino/bingo#.XlBoU2hKikw

Do they have bars on the casino floor? How many restaurants? Lastly do they have those personal video machines that you sit at a bar and play and is there blackjack on it besides just poker and Keno?

Harrah's Ak-Chin do have bars on the casino floor or you can order drinks directly from the machine you are playing. They do have video machines that offer different games including Blackjack.

How much is it to play blackjack?

The least expensive table I have seen at Harrah's Ak-Chin is $5

As a retired public servant now out on the road, I can tell you it gets tough out here. Safe, legal places to park are getting harder to find, and that adds a lot of stress to the job. I'm in Phoenix about once a week and spend around-- well a lot--- in the casino. Having a place like this makes a big difference. It gives drivers a safe place to shut down, get a good meal, relax a little, maybe have a drink, and just reset after a long haul. Trucking keeps this country moving, and it's a shame more casinos don't recognize that. Places like Wild Horse Pass use to but no longer allow truck parking anymore, and that's disappointing. There are ways to manage it, like controlled access for players card members. Bottom line, Vee Quiva gets it. They support the people who keep things moving, and that matters. I'll keep coming back because of it, and I hope more places start paying attention.

There were 3-4 young inebriated people that where antagonizing one of the 2 ladies since they sat down very close to her. She had 6 machines and was playing papers also. The inebriated young people kept pushing the lady with 6 machines personal bags closer to her so she wouldn't have much room to play all of her machines and paper. This went on til half way through se and session. There was a drunk boy that started calling both ladies f ing bitches repeatedly. The drunk girl asked if the lady with 6 machines had a problem with her. The lady with 6 machines was trying to daub her papers and and the boy said hey you f ing bitch. The lady with 6 machines said she didn't have a problem with her but would they stop pushing their bags into hers and stop touching her stuff. The inebriated girl started yelling at the lady with 6 machines that they were their first. The inebriated people only had 2 machines. They had plenty of room to play without touching the other ladies bags. But they were antagoni, ing her all evening. Thought it was funny and continued to touch the ladies bags and personal items. The drink girl started yelling MANAGER!! The manager came over and the drunk girl started a big fiasco with the manager. The entire bingo hall heard her. When the manager, Laura, came over she tried to get the drunk kids to move to a different table. The drunk girl yelled" Im not moving, we were here first", those f ing bitches need to move. The drunk boy kept saying to the ladies, "what you gonna do about it" right in front of manager and security. That sounded like a threat. He was threatening the 2 ladies right in front of security, who was being very friendly with drunk girl. The manager snatched the lady with 6 machines, snatched her phone out of her hand and told her she couldn't record the incident. She was answering a text message from her daughter. So manager gave her back her phone. That was uncalled for as the entire fiasco was uncalled for. There were at least 3 security guys around lady with 6 machines. The other lady asked if she could just move all her things down to her area. He said no, and you need to stay out of it or you can leave. Both ladies were trying to be calm. They told the lady with 6 machines she had to move all of her things to another table or leave. They didn't want to hear what really happened even when another player told them the drunk kids were in the wrong. They made the woman with 6 machines leave. They told the other lady she could stay out of it or leave too. After the lady left the drunk kids were laughing and trying to antagonize the other lady. She didn't respond to there potty mouths. She was dabbing her papers and the other ladies papers. One of the floor persons were very nice and apologized to her but she had to take all of the other ladies machines that she was watching. I was told it was because the lady spent over $400 on bonanza alone. And another $300 on machines and papers. They only gave her back the money for bonanza. In my opinion the manager that snatched the ladies phone out of her hand and all 3 of the security guards were very unprofessional. Just because the drunk girl was flirting with them they let them stay and the lady with 6 machines were walked out of the building. They should of made the drunk young people leave. It was not the lady with 6 machines fault. The drunk people were antagonizing her the whole session. So you kick out a loyal bingo player and want to kick out the other lady too, because the drunk people, who didn't spend a penny, got to stay and threaten and cuss at the ladies. Both the ladies play bingo and spend a lot of money in the bingo hall. Yet they were the ones penalized for trying to play bingo while a bunch of drunk young people were there to antagonize and see how far they could get by being rude and disrespectful to the ladies. I doubt that the ladies will be back. They have spent thousands on bingo. The drunk played nothing. But they were young and flirting with security so they kick out the lady who was just there to play bingo. I would be very surprised if lady with 6 machines didn't sue for manager snatching phone out of her hand and security being so stupid and took drunk people's word for everything because they were flirting. This was a very horrible incident to witness. There are too many other bingo halls close by that we will be patronizing instead of casino arizona bingo. This is not the first time security have been unprofessional and rude to other patrons. I've witnessed it 3 other times. They don't want to listen to what really happens. They only pay attention to those that flirt or those that are not white people. I myself am a proud black woman. The 2 ladies were white. The drink people were mixed. Your loss. 5 loyal gone

My friend's daughter was getting married this past March 2025 & my friend booked 3 rooms for 6 people mths prior to the wedding. She had to use a credit card to book these rooms, which I mentioned she did mths in advanced. The day of check in my friend's sister & another family member went to go check into 2/3 rooms while I was running around with my friend (mother of the bride) to find out that the hotel canceled all 3 rooms due to the CC my friend used was no longer active due to her having to cancel the card after fraudulent activity on it. This happened a while before our reservations. But for some reason when she booked the room the hotel didn't charge it for the rooms, nor a deposit. Apparently the hotel ran her CC the night before for the rooms which is odd, like who does that? The CC was denied because the number no longer existed after it was canceled prior by the CC company. My friend didn't call the hotel to change the CC as she was planning on using a different CC upon check into the hotel which you can do with hotels & her sister & her husband were going to use their CC for their room & myself & another family member had the other room that she was going to use her CC on check in. So her sister, her husband & the other family member go to check in & are told that they don't have the reservations for the 3 rooms due to trying to run the CC the night before & it got declined. Why wouldn't someone from the hotel contact my friend & inquire about this??? Like "hey, did you still plan on checking into our hotel tomorrow for 3 rooms because we went to charge your CC for the rooms & it got denied?" Um nope, no one did this and why is the hotel trying to charge her CC the day before check in & not when the reservation was made? Apparently staff was horrible! Very rude, including the manager on duty. No empathy or sympathy nor an explanation on why they run this place that way. They said they only had 1 room available but only for one night. We had the rooms booked for 2 nights and everyone but my friend (she lives in Tucson) had flown into Tucson for this wedding. I live in Vegas & out here there are always extra rooms saved for "high rollers" so you can't tell me that they had NO rooms available to make up for this terrible thing that they did to us. They told them that they came into town for a wedding. There was also some event going on in town so the hotel & other hotels were very busy. Thank God my friend lives in Tucson because that is where we all had to stay since we couldn't' stay here or another hotel close by to the venue. My friend was upset due to this sleeping arrangement gone bad & already had her plate full with helping getting the wedding together....talk about stressing her out more. It's a good thing I wasn't one of the ones trying to check into the hotel because I may not have been very nice back to the staff being rude & disrespectful to my friend's family members. It the craziest thing ever that Casino Del Sol did to all of us for this special occasion. BEWARE: this hotel won't charge your CC upon booking your reservation. You may want to double check a couple days prior to your reservation that things are still good & that your reservation is still active. I was happy not to spend any money in this place after that BS. The only good things about this casino messing up is it saved us all some $$ & my friend had family & friends' close by. It was nice not to be stranded in Tucson with no place to stay. Staff members need the appropriate training (esp. management) on how to efficiently & professionally run the front desk. They need better customer skills, learn how to show empathy & be sympathetic. LEARN HOW TO COME UP WITH A SOLUTION & NOT EXCUSES!!!
