It was on the patio. I was about to leave when I took the pics.

This gem right here. So I moved my son to Tucson and then panicked bought another motorcycle at H-D of Tucson. I was totally ill prepared for the ride back to Yuma and too cheap to buy any extra gear. I left the dealership at around 1900 hours and started riding back. By the time I got to Gila Bend I was even more exhausted, after moving the kid, and frozen. My knees were bouncing off the gas tank and I could no longer feel my fingers. I tried the Space Age Lodge and the two kids running the lobby were toking up pretty hard. Not that I care, just not a fan, especially when I'm going into a hotel lobby to get a room. Anyway they were full so I went to the Palms next. It was late at night so the transaction was through the window. I didn't get his name but the dude was really nice and had a room available. Cost me about $70.00 to warm up and crash out a few hours. This may be the exhaustion talking but the bed was really comfortable. The water pressure in the shower could take the paint off a car and was hot! There are patios and I was able to park my bike on it so no one would mess with it. Really liked this place.

Warm, friendly, professional, welcome. As other Yelpers have noted it is exceptionally clean. Free high speed Wi-Fi, HBO, fridge, microwave and a nice large (40") flat screen TV. The swimming pool is clear, clean and inviting. Missing is a blow dryer (byobd) and iron/board. We saved about $75-100 (March) by staying here instead of the sci-fi Best Western, which was full. Glad we did. Paid $68 for one room with two queen beds. It's a great deal. Not fancy but considering the price, cleanliness, pool, and excellent staff we give it 4 stars. We'd stay here again.

A no frills establishment that is impeccably clean. I would recommend it anyone needing to spend the night in Gila Bend or nearby.

I'm giving Yucca five stars not because it's the greatest hotel I've ever stayed at, but it is one of the best "Motels" I have ever stayed at.

I decided on this place because there was a restaurant on site, so I thought that would be convenient. Ironically, we did not eat at the on-site restaurant. Check in/check out was easy. I didn't really run into any other staff. The bed was comfy. The TV took a little getting used to since there were multiple remotes. The walls were thick enough that you didn't hear your neighbor's conversations...just the guy moaning loudly next door that sounded like it may have been a massive hangover or a nightmare. (Could've gone either way). I didn't use the shower when there, so I cannot comment on that. The toilet and sink had good water pressure. Everything was clean. The fridge was cold. The AC worked great. No complaints.

They are in the process of remodelng this place so the furniture was all new and the bed comfortable. The location was perfect. The only issue we had is the TV hadn't quite been connected yet, I guess. There were a bunch of new TVs in the office so that was our assumption. The remote didn't work and even tho' it was connected to HDMI, there was nothing but snow. However, we were given two free breakfast coupons to compensate. We would definitely stay at this location in the future!

The setting itself is really lovely; an old school with an interior courtyard, turned into simple but warm rooms to stay at. Every time the rooms have been impeccably clean and I love that you just use a code to get in and out. The javelina pillow on the bed is also so comforting and cute! The gift shop is fantastic if you want to support local makers and get some unique gifts for yourself or others, many with a strong emphasis on the Sonoran Desert. Every gift I've purchased here has been a huge hit with the recipients. And the staff? Lovely. All of them are friendly and attentive, even the 4-legged one! These folks genuinely seem to enjoy where they work and get along with their coworkers. The one hit or miss with this place is the food. I've had some great meals and I've had some lackluster ones. But I appreciate the complimentary daily brewed coffee from Curley's from 7-11am (I think those are the hours!). And if you prefer something a little fancier, then visit Curley's, a 2 minute walk around the corner, and while you're there, treat yourself to one of their delicious pastries.

This particular time I was like fuck, we have to drive to Arizona, get a room, pay for food, gas. We can't spend that much money. So we decided to go here. Unbeknownst to us, as soon as we get there. First we try the Best Western Space spot - at $100/night we were not feeling that since we were going to be there for little over 5 hours... We hit the Payless Inn mostly out of sheet exhaustion. So...the sign says "$26.99" and "REFRIGERATION" and "POOL". Considering it's about 110 degrees at 1 am - all these words are sounding real good... Remember that saying about getting what you pay for? Well, in some cases, you get even less than what you paid for, best believe it! I think we paid $30 after tax for this joint - get handed a single key - no keyringy-thingy to keep you from loosing the key - just a KEY and a remote for the TV. We open the door to the room and I start to think that we shoulda just slept in the car (yes, I know it's the middle of the damn desert....but...) There's paint literally pulling off the walls; huge cobwebs dominate every single corner of the tiny room - and yes, there were at least that many spiders in there. The bed was reminiscent of those matts you see on the floors in those drama movies about being locked up abroad; so scary was the bed, I almost couldn't perform my bedbug check, so afraid that I wouldn't find bugs, but stains of some questionable type and size... There was a raggedy TV sitting on a raggedy dresser which was all poised on a raggedy orange carpet that was blackened from years of trampling (umm...probably not from steam cleaning!). The bedding was clean - which was funny considering how "abandoned" the entire room looked! Oh - the piece-de-resistance was the "refrigeration". An ANCIENT - and I mean ancient (I was tempted to steal it just for its kitchzy appeal) swamp cooler dominated the wall dividing the room from the bathroom. Since this is AZ, and it's nice and dry out there, you'd think this thing would work like a charm - NOT. Perhaps it was hotter than the old machine's capacity, perhaps it was just old and about to die...in any case, the room was only cool about 6 inches above the cooler itself. I'm not even going to go into just how nasty the shower got when the water started backing up while showering... There was a pool - but there would be NO lounging at this joint. Pay more money, get real AC (or a larger capacity swamp cooler), clean rooms without spiders and questionable mattresses. The best thing about this place is knowing enough to never stay here again.
