I went in yesterday for a 90 minute massage. It was wonderful. I think the place has new owners and they were very intent on making me a happy and satisfied customer, after a visit last year (under old owners) that left me not wanting to return... But I am so happy that I gave this place another try. It was wonderful. The space was dark and quiet, Very relaxing and calming. The music was nice and soothing as well. I requested a firm pressure for my shoulders and neck area and he did a great job. It was a great massage and very helpful in loosening up my tired and sore muscles. The next time I think I want to try a 90 minute reflexology massage.. The detox massage sounds wonderful also... The place was very clean and and the beds were so comfortable. I loved the hot foot bath too. There were several other customers there at the same time, but it was still very quiet and private.. Each area has a drape that partitions and separates each customer, so it is nice and private. I would recommend wearing very loose and comfortable clothing as you do leave on your own clothes... There is no changing into hospital style scrubs like in some other places I have been. I was offered a glass of cold water after my season which I thought was nice. I was very happy with my service and the pricing was very fair also. I will return here for another massage soon. read more

I have been coming to this place since 2011. I have invested MANY thousands of dollars here in committed clinically trained reflexology service from Lee & Helen, since that time, for my personal health. Based on my experience there in the last 24 hours, and how the new ownership handled the situation, I'm afraid to say they've lost that revenue and me as a longterm customer until Helen and/or Lee return. The new ownership is harming this facility with her lack of understanding of what is quality customer service - which I know because I also run successful company of my own with a full staff now for the last 8 years. Based on the massages and rub downs they're providing now without Helen or Lee (vs. reflexology), this is flat out false advertising. I booked a reflexology session as I have a neurological condition and I've used reflexology for years to live with my condition drug-free as, when it's done by a trained reflexologist, it alleviates my symptoms. Lee & Helen who formerly worked here are trained in reflexology, and I know this because I'm also a functional medicine professional with formal training in human anatomy, Chinese medicine & the meridian system. Reflexology requires the practitioner have formal training in the human body meridian system and traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to know how to individualize application to the individual body based to rebalance specific health imbalances using direct pressure applied to very specific points along the meridian system correlating to key organs and glands that free up energy flow & Chi. One has to have extensive anatomy training to do this. Again, Helen and Lee, the former owners, are trained in this. Poking a body at random points, massaging a body, stretching someones legs on a table, and rubbing down a body, or pushing on a body, IS NOT REFLEXOLOGY. That's charging money to your customer for reflexology and giving them a rub down - which is false advertising. You can pull the wool over the eyes of most Americans who aren't professionals in functional medicine, but you can't with me. If you want to sell people a massage, stop calling it reflexology and charging them for reflexology. Last night I went in to discover Helen is no longer there. I told them I'd been coming to her and Lee for 6 years for a clinical health condition and their Chinese medicine capabilities in reflexology, detox, gua sha and cupping. The new owner assured me I would get reflexology and she would tell her worker when I came in what I needed. That didn't happen - I got there and wasted an hour of my 80 hr work week on the table getting a rub down and stretching. I came out and informed her I would not be able to pay for the service given - that I was very clear on that I clinically need reflexology as nothing less alleviates my neurological symptoms, and improves me energy flow from my head to my feet. She wanted me to actually pay for a massage/rub down/stretching service I didn't ask for, but she reluctantly accepted my offer to come back and try with one more staff person, if she would get it right as the owner responsible for her business the second time by managing her staff & informing them what her longterm customers needs are ahead of time, but insisted I still pay the worker a tip, which frankly, is not right. I would not do that to my customer who has invested thousands with me, if I falsely sold a service , they complained, and offered to try again to retain their business. That is her responsibility as the owner to cover her own management mistake and pay her staff. I am so disappointed in this experience that I called this morning to cancel my 'try again' appointment, as I do not trust this new ownership has anyone on staff formally trained in reflexology and Chinese medicine without Helen or Lee, they're just fooling many uneducated consumers. When I called and told her I would be canceling, she didn't even bother to ask why I was canceling or would not be coming back to ask for feedback from her customer or see what could be done to remedy the situation. Wow. I don't run my company this way, nor do I treat my customers of 6 years who have spent thousands with me this way. With that management, they won't last long. The only way I will walk back in there is when Helen or Lee do, otherwise I will be going elsewhere for ACTUAL clinically trained reflexology, not rub downs & stretching. As a functional medical practitioner, if I'm requesting & paying for reflexology as a professional service, I'm expecting it in return. Seems pretty straightforward to me to do honest, quality business for your customers. The truth of the matter in successful business is, throwing up a shingle or sign with a word on it or marketing it, is irrelevant unless you're providing the actual service itself, the service is great, and that service produces actual results for your clients -- and, that comes from your staff capabilities, not your marketing. read more

Ok so I have struggled with back pain for about 10 years now. I have tried everything and I must say, it has been about a month and my back pain has reduced about 95 percent since my cupping/massage treatment. I've had the weirdest, most frustrating, hip flexor injury for 6 months now. I've been to every kind of doctor there is and done every type of scan in hopes of finding a solution or even figuring out what it is I have. It's been an extremely frustrating journey because I used to be a distance runner and I miss running so much. The only treatment that is actually working is the massages I get from Helen at Head Foot Spa. I know this sounds a little bit extreme, but it really has been life changing for me. I'm feeling better than I ever have since this injury. No physical therapist or chiropractor has done the same for me. After my first massage, I actually felt normal. It was such a shock, I almost immediately began crying (tears of joy of course). I'm so glad I found Helen and I'm so glad I found this place. I can't believe I wasted my money on all these other treatments and therapy that never helped me one bit. Not just that, but I'm learning so much from Helen!! She tells me what to do at home, what I've been doing wrong... and not jus a thing or too, she really is helping me so much. She's telling me stuff non of the doctors I've been to have even thought of! And this is even without me explaining to her what's going on. She doesn't need to hear a story of what happened and what hurts to know what's wrong! She was able to pretty much immediately figure out what was tight and what areas hurt. The only thing I will say is always let her know which area you want her to focus on or which areas you don't really want her to do (I personally don't care for the head and neck massages, but it's really because I'd rather have her focus on my hip/lower back..). I love Helen so much and I'll be going back many times until I fully recover! Last week (so after 3 sessions) I asked her if I could run and she said "running is good" so I tried running and I actually had no pain (apart from the fact that my legs are so weak from no exercise for 6 months). I'm positive that when I have more time to stretch, run, and do all the stuff she's been telling me to do at home, that I'm gonna be back to normal. Sorry this is long, but yeah, I hope this helps people who have any type of pain or injury that has just not been healing like it should. Update: I finally found out what's wrong (I actually figured it out myself. haha), but now I'm getting the right treatment! I have been getting massages for years because of a bad back and headaches. When I went to Head Foot Spa the first time I thought it would be like every other spa. Boy was I wrong! I just got home from an hour massage at Head Foot Spa in Gilbert. I was hoping it would be as good as others I have had back in Illinois, and I was not disappointed. Finding this place was one of my luckiest days. I have had lower back problems since 2008. After numerous chiropractor visits and shots my back would still be in pain after short walks and prolong standing. I've been getting massages for well over 10 years. This was by far the worst experience ever! I have NEVER EVER had a masseuse crawl on top of the table and literally straddle me while "pushing lotion" on my back. I kicked my legs around a bit and she said something I couldn't understand but enough that she got the point that i did not appreciate the fact that she's basically sitting on top of me. She got down and left the room for a bit and came back with the lady from the front desk. I explained to them that i pinched a nerve in my back and neck and wanted focus on that. I had already explained all of that when I walked in to get my appointment. I Specifically said I do not want a full body massage I only wanted my back and neck not my legs or arms. Once the front desk lady left the room the masseuse uncovered the sheet and started rubbing my legs. ‍ The masseuse never massaged me and just rubbed lotion on me. If your looking for a happy ending you might get it there, i left before that part. That was a waste of an hour i will never get back!! read more

Don't be fooled by the "look" of the place - Mr. Lin is an incredibly talented therapist and succeeded where others failed. I had a shoulder "stinger", extreme muscle tightness pressing on a nerve which was causing numbness and tingling in my left arm, down to my fingers. Additionally, general shoulder and overall body tightness caused by working on a computer all day and not taking enough breaks away from my desk - my fault, I know. Anyway, the pain was so bad I ended up visiting a chiropractor (3 sessions - despite Glaxon and electroshock, and ice, heat, adjustments, etc. - no help), and a deep tissue LMT (great guy, didn't help though). However, tried Mr. Lin's treatment for an hour, and his methods took the pain from a 7 down to a 2 after 1 session. Went back the next week, the 2 became a 1. After a third session a week later, the pain was gone completely! He uses Chinese methods of massage - whatever it is, IT WORKS! Have recommended him to all my friends and co-workers who are dealing with muscle tightness and pain due to desk jobs or whatever - looking forward to hearing their feedback. read more

I am a massage therapist myself and usually do not like the type of work other therapists preform. I drive past this foot spa daily and decided to give it a try. I was COMPLETELY blown away!! I could not ask for a better experience!! The staff is professional, the spa is immaculate and the body work is exceptional! Lee worked on me and spent enough time on each area that needed extra attention. I usually feel rushed when therapists work on me and this was NOT the case. I happened to come across this place while looking for a place to get a massage. I wanted to get a massage ASAP as I was really sore. I made an appointment at massage envy but they couldn't get me in until early evening. I called head to foot spa and they were able to get me in right away. As a first time customer I received an hour full body massage for only $39. Li was the one who gave me the massage and it was awesome. He uses a combination of Chinese and American massage techniques and was able to really loosen up the many knots in my back, neck, and shoulders. I highly recommend this place. This place is unbelievable!!! I've gone every week for 5 weeks. For about 6 months now, I could not raise my right arm above my shoulder. I was in pain constantly. I refused to go to the doctor for pills and/or surgery. I am no longer in any pain and can sleep through the night. It's a miracle. I've been an avid seeker of the very best the therapeutic, and reasonably priced, massage. When Head Foot Spa opened (close to my home) I thought I'd give it a try. The first thing I noticed was how clean the place felt. I was greeted by a very nice man and woman (Lee and Helen). They explained the available massage options. I choose the one hour chair massage. When I walked into the massage floor I saw around eight brand new massage chairs and lots of movable privacy screens. I was directed to a chair and got comfortable. Helen was the therapist. She brought out a wooden tub with nice hot water with herbs. My feet went in and the massage began. While on my back (and fully clothed), she started with my head and slowly worked down to my feet where she spent a lot of detailed time. After about 30 minutes I was asked to turn over and she spent the rest of the time on my neck, back, gluts and legs. I got a full body massage! The price was only $30 and I tipped an extra $10. I have been back 11 times over the past few weeks. I have been worked on by three therapist and they were all excellent. If you like deep tissue work, I recommend Lee. Tip: I now dress in shorts and remove my shirt. This way, the therapist can deliver a more effective massage. I recommend Head Foot Spa to anyone that wants a reasonable priced full therapeutic massage using lots of Eastern-style acupressure techniques. read more

My husband received a Gift card for this place. He's been experiencing some seasonal allergies and a migraine headache for the last several days, so I called to make an appointment for him. The man who answered was very rude and abrupt - told me he had to use the entire amount during one visit (He must have mistaken Gift card for groupon???)He asked me how much it was for - I told him then HE decided what services my husband needed based on the amount of the GC. Same guy (I'm fairly certain) "greeted" my husband today with the same attitude he'd given me on the phone a week earlier. Since my husband had been having a migraine he asked if he could switch to the migraine treatment, and the Head to Foot Spa Nazi said, "No. You get foot reflexology and cleansing treatment. No one available for Migraine Treatment." My husband noticed that he was the only customer in the place and there were 3-4 people working there. So, he sat for about 45 mins soaking his feet in some brown water, then a lady came by and did some foot reflexology for about 30 mins and that was it. As my husband was leaving the Spa Nazi asked him if he was going to tip. He said, "no I have no cash," and left. Coincidentally, my husband's migraine is worse now. There are so many of these types of shops popping up all over the place now, Head To Foot Spa needs to be more accommodating or, like us, their customers are going to easily find another spa to go to. read more

Mr. Li is excellent! I have severe venous reflux, a circulatory problem where the blood flows down your legs, but does not go up properly, causing swollen ankles, discomfort. I have a few spider veins, but one is specifically tender and cannot be touched by a massage therapist, or I go through the roof with pain. I explained all of this to Mr. Li, and he documented it and understood, and proceeded with a 1 hour massage specifically pinpointing my problem areas. By the time I left there, he was able to massage the area where no one, after several of these type spas, has been able to do. He is extremely knowledgeable of the body and its anatomy. I was very impressed! I was supposed to have a procedure, venous ablation, to correct this issue in both legs. It made me nervous and I cancelled it for now. I will try Mr. Li for a while first. Who wants any invasive procedure if you can get away with not having it. I have severe problems with my feet and in many places. I feel that massage therapy is really something that should be covered by insurance, as it could save insurance companies much money. read more
