The staff here is always friendly and helpful and the plants we've purchased here have been healthy and we have had many for multiple years. The pricing is also comparable to other places we've purchased plants and supplies for, so it's always a solid spot to shop.

When we arrived I walked around a bit to check out what they had to offer-what was in season and wondering where the cactus plants were. I liked this little sign they had in the middle of their nursery which advised everyone what was in season and what should be planted at this time of year-for a newbie green thumb person like myself-information like that is very helpful. After walking around a bit I decided on the cutest little cactus to add to my collection at home and it cost me $7.99,so cheap and my daughter decided to get a snow peas plant($7.49). This nursery is on the smaller size and not as overwhelming as some of the others in the area, and all the plants we've picked up here have been happy and have been great additions to our garden. I like that we've found consistent seasonal offerings as well as have been surprised with some fun plants we haven't seen elsewhere. The store inside is also fun to browse with both garden accessories, as well as gifts, fun items, and local things that someone with an interest in gardening would also enjoy. The staff is friendly and helpful and there's even sometimes a cute and friendly cat that's wondering around to greet guests. A great spot to browse while visiting Oak Park and a great spot to pick up seasonal plants or more longterm additions to your garden.

They help me pick out the best dirt for what I'm doing and can help suggest plants or care for them as well. I can often find things here that are not in other stores too. My problem is that I will go in for one thing, but end up leaving with 10! Haha. It's a fun problem to have. Most of the plants are outside and wrapped along their building, but there are some more inside along with gardening tools, seeds, etc.. Because they are not a chain store, their prices are a little higher than a Home Depot or Green Acres, but everything seems to be more hand chosen and it feels good to support local. There are a couple parking spots out front, but may be a little challenging to get back onto Folsom Blvd because it's at a busy intersection. I like to park on the side street where there is plenty of parking available.

I'm going to post photos with this review because Emigh always has the hardware I need and it is mostly in the cutting room as they call it. Fantastic knowledgeable customer service, rewards program adds value, seasonal plants this business does business right. I also love how they partner with local scouting programs. If I am competing a project, odds are I will visit Emigh more than once to get it done.

The staff was really great when I needed help finding bolts, O-rings, and pitchfork handles. They directed me to the right aisles and drawers after I wandered around looking lost for a while. They even looking something up for me online when I had questions about a project. Now that's just good customer service! I don't have anything negative to say about this hardware store. I had a really good experience shopping there.
