Supply is a very, very, very complete hardware store and then some. I've always been able to find what I need there. Unlike certain home improvement stores, Supply has great sales people who KNOW their products and can always come up with what you need. I just bought a ladder there, in addition to plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, tools, bits, safety gear, coveralls, wire, among other past purchases. I wish they were closer, but they're worth the drive. read more

Its hard to find good places like this . They have a a lot of well organized hardware and every time I've come the customer service is really good. Staff comes up to ask you if you've been helped and make you feel taken care of. You never see that nowadays. As someone who is in customer service I appreciate that. read more

IF it's hardware for industrial, residential or commercial this place has you covered and judge its size. It's amazing the amount of normal to specialty products the have in this small but very mighty store. The are super knowledgeable and can about 99 % of time hook up with the trick goods you need ! Hi, I was going to totally flame this place, but it's true. Small stores like this are the place to go. I like making sure my bolts and nuts fit and I might only need one, not a bag. I like staff that is helpful and chatty like we're buddies, and if I lived in W. Sac, we would be because it would me store to go to. This store could work on the greeting a bit better, though. I'm spending MY money to put in YOUR bank account. So many forget where the paycheck comes from. Counter people would rather avoid interaction than increase sales. Not for this store, but in general, I think we can agree that most workers could care less, like they are doing that job for fun and not food and shelter. Interacting with the public is super fun if you make it that way. So. I needed tubing and a few other items for a water feature in my backyard and the return water feed. We finally settled on some tubing, but the worker would have to get a ladder and climb to a box with 25 ft in it. I've been in charge of safety and ladders are super dangerous. The worker noticed a box of twice the length and the diameter I needed on the shelf labeled for like $40. It was actually about $140 and I didn't know until I stuck my card in and looked at the total. Take notice, most places don't tell you how much it is. They just expect you to stick in your card so they can go back to whatever. So, they charged me but I left the store with none of the items. Then I was told they needed the card to reverse the charge. This is totally untrue. I have had supervisor access at several jobs for credit cards. Even workers can void a sale without the card. The credit card processing company they use has the number. With access, you can get it and all you need to force a sale. If you are going to tell a customer you took almost $200 from something, you better make sure it is true. And it could have been done without me noticing the charge. The worker KNEW a receipt printed and I was charged. That is why charges PEND until the batch closes overnight. In some systems, you type the charge so you have to check what you typed versus what was supposed to be charged so it matches. You fix mess ups through small voids or calling and receiving card information and forcing a sale. Then you batch and then, the credit card servicer will batch at some point and the pending part is no longer pending. Also, yield to the customer when you move through the store. You are there until your shift is over, we have other errands to do or whatever. We all can make money, but there is no place to buy time. Plus it shows zero respect. So, I won't shop here and I closed my account at the bank that wouldn't cover it. I did get my money back. But, this is one reason why so many order online. Why do I want crap and drama just to buy something from a human, especially when they don't care AND they get mouthy about it when I'm the one without $200? I only found out when I used that card again and it didn't cover the last $3 for my pads and rotors. Of course the store had just closed. I expected $200 on that card and was unduly embarrassed. read more

Small hardware stores like this are a dying breed. Shame. No, they cannot stock every thing imaginable but they can get it. I have always been greeted when walking thru the front door, and if someone sees me walking down the isles, aimlessly, they off their support. Find that at big chain hardware stores. I absolutely cannot recommend this store enough! They are incredibly helpful. I worked for a huge production and needed hundreds and hundreds of nuts and bolts of all shapes and sizes. They always had what we needed and upon the rare occasion they didn't they would help us find what we needed. I wish I could give 10 stars to my whole experience with them, and we did a lot of business with them! Thank you for being amazing and patient with all our insane requests! You guys rock!! read more

It's Saturday morning and I need a part to fix a water leak. We went to Home Depot to be told they didn't carry it and recommended to try an Ace Hardware. I did a search and found Supply Hardware and Building just down the street from where I was doing the work. The people were friendly and took me to the aisle where the part was and helped us locate a couple other things we needed for the repair. It was like walking into an old fashioned hardware store that has all the fittings you can imagine. I saw reviews stating they weren't open on weekends. They were open and well staffed the Saturday I needed them! I recommend checking this out before you go to The Home Depot, but their hours show they close at 5 on weekdays and are closed Sunday. This is an oldschool hardware store. They have everything you could possibly need from a harware store. Knowledgeable staff will actually take you to an item you inquire about rather than tell you the aisle number. Each of the aisles is filled from top to bottom with items. Even if you dont need anything you could go here and just look around and be satisfied. The nut and bolt selection is excellent! Grade 8 bolts, stainless, specialty, they have a ton! In a perfect world, Supply Hardware would be open longer hours/ weekends, and thus become the world's best hardware store. Even factoring in their very modest operating hours, though, this is a FANTASTIC place. The service can't be beat. Even thought the store is not on the scale of an (ugh) Home Depot in size, I've never failed to find what I need there. Prices are reasonable. There is no problem finding someone to assist you if you need it, (completely) unlike most other hardware stores/ chains. When I need hardware, I stop at Supply Hardware right after work- on my way home, so their hours don't cause me any distress. Unless I ever find myself needing hardware on a Saturday or Sunday (god help me,) I'll always be going to Supply Hardware. read more

I had a pretty hot project that needed to be done as my customer was waiting. I stopped somewhere else looking for carriage bolts but the other place didn't have the size I was needing. I stopped here and the staff was quick to help in what I was looking for and pointed me in the right direction. They had a vast selection and had exactly what I needed in order for me to complete my project. Now I have a favorite hardware store I can go to instead of those big box stores we all know so well. I have purchased read-mix concrete from Supply Hardware for than 10 years. Supply Hardware has changed ownership and the current owner refuses to sell ready-mix concrete to me for the sole reason that I don't have a CALIFORNIA DRIVER'S LICENSE. I have properties in 4 states and 3 countries, I was not aware of a law that prevents a state from renting to non residents. This is a policy for failure. The previous owners rent to me more than 100 times. I like this store, however I'm banned from renting. This will help Brian go broke. And I will surely help him by encouraging all the people I know as well as the people I meet in the future not to shop there. You have options. If there were less one star, I'd give it to the store. read more

This place is great. Has a whole lot of industrial materials that the bigger Home Depot and Lowe's do not have. I also love the fact that I don't have to walk 2 miles to look for an item, or ask 20 people along the way that don't have time. In and out, and back to my project. I have shopped in Supply Hardware in West Sacramento since 2006 an very satisfied until today. My wife and I have properties in 4 states and 3 countries, and today the person claiming the new owner (Brian) refused to sell ready-mix concrete to me for reasons that I do not hold a CALIFORNIA DRIVER'S LICENSE. He claimed it was a California thing. I have purchased more than 100 cubic yards from the previous owner and they always got paid. I sincerely expect Supply Hardware to to go broke soon with this policy in place. Not everyone is a thief trying to steal Brian's ready-mix cart. Nor does everyone who needs concrete carry a CALIFORNIA DRIVER'S LICENSE. There's 49 other states with drivers that make rental payments outside their state of residence. I like this lumber yard. All the staff there can help you with just about anything. Seems that their staff is cross trained on many different things. I can always find help here when needed and check out is easy and quick. They have pre-mixed concrete that you can tow with your vehicle and lots of rentals there. No waiting in lines and trying find help here unlike the big box stores. read more

I used to like this hardware lumber store. In fact I have been using them as my primary material and equipment store since they first opened on the southwest corner of Harbor Blvd and West Capital Ave in the mid 1950's However, today the manger of the store told me he did not want my business and to go to HOME DEPOT. He implied that he did want the home owner business because they were adopting an industrial cliental. Therefore, the citizens of West Sacramento should take the manager's advise and go else where for their hardware needs. read more

This is the most legit hardware store I have been to in Northern California for nuts, bolts, screws, and other fasteners. They stock a comprehensive selection of metric, stainless, brass, automotive and even Chrome. They told me if they don't have it in stock they can have it within a day. They close at 5:00 PM and are closed on Sunday but will be my first stop for this type of hardware going forward. read more
