A little about our project - Three years ago we began planning our business, a pet supply boutique and grooming studio. As part of our business plan process, we needed to be able to estimate construction costs, so I searched for contractors online and reached out to J Boyer Construction who picked up the phone and we began to discuss the range of pricing a project like this might cost us. Two years ago, we began actively searching for a suitable location and several times. We included Jim on walkthroughs of possible stores as we trusted his opinion on the challenges that could arise in the buildout. At the beginning of 2022, we found a suitable storefront and J Boyer Construction was fast to schedule all of his trades for a walkthrough and quickly provided a quote for our project. The demo was quick (luckily only 2 walls needed to come down). The construction went fairly smoothly (you hear so many horror-stories) even with slow permitting by the city and some supply chain delays - we had given ourselves a realistic opening day and we were able to open on time!
