We had initially planned on renovating our 2 bathrooms and our kitchen. We filled in the form on HB website and Aidan came over, took down the measurements the very first time he came, gave us a very reasonable estimate of both cost and time. We went over to their show room, picked the materials and worked with Eva for the kitchen design. We placed all the orders working with Eva, as Aidan made sure that we had all that we needed exactly to begin the project. He was very proactive and thoroughly followed up on ensuring that the materials were available to begin the project as scheduled. He diligently reviewed all the items we ordered to ensure that everything would indeed "fit" into our project and the city's requirements. Then the actual project started. Every single day, Aidan stayed in touch with us letting us know what the team would be working on, and what exactly we needed to do to get the project flowing smoothly. He coordinated very well between us and the team that came home to work. Throughout the project we noticed that Aidan is very clear and concise in his communication. At no point did he ever try to get us to buy something "extra". He sent over the right people for the right job and managed the show really well even during the pandemic. Every single person of HB team that came home was punctual, polite and professional. They'd arrive in a single truck, getting all the materials required for the day, greet all of us, carefully cover all the other areas that are not needed for the work that day, work through the project as planned and clean up the place after each day's work. They'd very carefully handle all the materials that were delivered home and even the packages that we'd ordered for things other than home upgrade, were very carefully handled and left on the living room. If and when any issues came up, they'd promptly let Aidan know. There was even one time where we had some confusion regarding the kitchen counter top and Aidan dashed through the freeway in 25 minutes and made sure to answer our question correctly. Eva and Aidan have worked on their days off, to make sure that we got the best prices (as the prices of tiles were just going to increase around last fall) ! We then, decided, as the project was going on, to include doing our hardwood floors and the interior paint too. Guess what? these guys completed the entire thing along the deadlines that we'd set initially for just the bathrooms and kitchen upgrades - super efficient! And everything was done with permits!
And ours was not very easy project either. There were details that needed to be looked into like making sure we always had the fridge working ,for we have medicines that need to be refrigerated; make sure the kitchen is usable before a particular date because the lease of the apartment that we'd moved into was expiring They accommodated every thing. Once, while working on the hardwood floors, the team had to move an old cupboard around. That blessed thing broke spilling the contents all over the floor. The team photographed the "scene" sent it to Aidan and us, and at our behest, carefully packaged the contents (including children's board game dice, stationery items) into bags. That cupboard had all kinds of things in it and I'm not exaggerating when I say "not even a pin went missing" ! From making sure that the vent cleaners (another company) do not miss out on any vents, to running mid way during their lunch, to tell us, not to dry the clothes in the back yard because they've fixed our dryer - these guys have us really impressed with their diligence! We completely left our house with them and they totally lived up to our trust. HB - Honestly the Best! read more
