Bad customer service experience! They don't show up within the service window or notify you of their delay. They don't call within 30 minutes of their arrival as stated. Lord forbid you give the technician a rating below 10 and office management is calling like you're the problem! I signed up for this service a year ago 1/31/2024. It has been terrible when they show they do very little if anything. They promised a full perimeter and inside spray 4 times a year plus they are expected to return if there are issues. First, they only spot treat from day one. They don't show up after the first appt and if you have cameras on your property you will see them walk around and look if they see bugs they might spray. A manager called after my complaint and said they do not need to spray it is safer for you and your family. I thought I was paying for the spray but turns out I was paying someone to tell me I did not need pest control. I canceled, and it took 40 minutes. I kept saying I no longer wanted the service, but they kept saying if there was anything they could do to keep me as a customer, they would do it. It took me stating the entire conversation was being recorded which I started after 25 minutes to get them to cancel. This morning, I have texts from them, including a verification code, no idea why, I will have nothing at all to do with this company nor their website!! I'm going to reach out to the BBB. Bait & Switch - once you've signed up and paid they could care less about delivering on their promises. I prepaid for the whole year and it's impossible to schedule to have them come out and service in between the quarterly service. As for the quarterly service they don't schedule it with you it's almost like a wait and see and if you call to talk with anyone you get such a run around. Even if you have a confirmation message and you tell them they didn't show up there isn't even a sorry it's a oh ok let's set another 8am-8pm window for two or more weeks out and see if they show up that time. I called to cancel my account with Hawks because their tech do not show up and we still had issues with bugs. They transferred me to a sales agent who kept me on the phone for half and hour trying to sale me on staying. I kept telling her no, yet she kept coming up with this or that program to keep me. Again and again I told her I want to cancel. I insisted they cancel my account. She told me I had already paid for three months, to go ahead and let the tech come and spray. So I agreed, but wanted the account closed afterwards. She agreed. The next month they charged my account! When I called they told me I had no right to call them or cancel the account. My husband had to be the one to call. Even though I was an authorized person on the account! The sales agent never mentioned this fact while she was trying to sale me different lower costs plans to keep me. They are just scammers after your money. read more

Would not recommend doing business with this company. We were moving before our contract expired and I was told I had to sign an additional 24 month contract in order to move service. Not what I was told by the sales person at the start. I may have agreed to the 24 months if I thought the mosquito treatment actually worked well, but it didn't. Sales and service tech were respectful of distance, albeit the sales guy did not wear a mask - I actually preferred it that way considering he did keep some distance. I like to judge a person's credibility based on facial expressions and body language, and frankly, it's much easier to see a person's facial expressions this way. I will echo the many reviews posted here about Hawx Pest Control. My experience is the pest control is ineffective, the terms of the agreement are meant to lock you in, and calling per contract to prevent auto renewal is not possible. I just spoke with Blessing, who cannot stop the monthly auto renewal even though it's not less than thirty days per the agreement. She cannot allow me to speak to anyone higher, and I cannot have the details of our conversation sent to me. The agreement expires in June 2025 and auto renews monthly. Per the terms of the agreement I have to call not less than thirty days to cancel the monthly renewals. Blessing cannot cancel the monthly auto renewal even though the agreement states this is the process. I recommend staying away from this company, or be sure to cancel not less than thirty days if you can. read more

Absolutely horrible. Since signing on I constantly found bugs in my home so the service itself does not get the job done. Even when you have them come back out. When my contract ran out I tried calling multiple times to cancel. Every time I called I would either wait long periods of time only to have them disconnect the call as I was holding or leave a callback number which they would call back and immediately disconnect without speaking. I went on their chat to cancel and was told they would cancel me. Just found out my account is still active and the only way to cancel is by phone. I am still being disconnected each time I call. This is a door-to-door solicitation scam. They say they are just in your neighborhood, do you have a little task for them? I said yes, I want a wasp's nest removed. I paid for that one, one-time service. I also, separately, let them up-sell me on termite control and paid them $1500 to install termite bait stations. Then they decided to sign me up for monthly recurring charges for general "pest control"forever. When I complained that I don't even want general "pest control" and never agreed to it, they dug up all the termite bait stations I already paid for, and charged me a $200 cancellation fee. I cancelled the credit card that they had the info for before the $200 cancellation fee could go through, got my $1500 back by filing a complaint with my credit card company, and reported Hawx to the state Attorney General's office (very easy to do online). I suggest everyone who is going through the same thing take those same steps and maybe someone will eventually stop them. Now they call and email me daily to harass me. So I tell the girls on the phone that they are working for a scam and to get a better job. read more

BEWARE: DO NOT USE HAWX FOR SERVICES!!! Please do not use this company if you want success in treating your home. I am an honest person, and this review is not for my unhappiness or anger alone. This company dropped the ball several times and now we have a termite infestation that has been at our house for several years affecting not only our crawlspace but the first and second floors. We hired them in June of 2020, 6 months after we moved into our home, for wasps and roaches. The previous owner did not plug holes in the garage and they were coming into the house. We also had swarms of wasps up in our eaves. The first thing they failed to do was a FULL inspection of our house. They only walked around the house and did not even look at our crawl space or go up into our attic where the wasps were. The guy even told us he did not have a ladder to spray the eaves directly, so he was going to spray from the ground. The sprayer was about 2 feet long, not even long enough to reach our second floor. Not professional at all. At our second appointment in July (we called them back as the first service did not treat the problem) we were told we had termites in our mulch all around our house. The rep stated we should remove our mulch to get rid of the problem and he would spray his normal treatment to get rid of them. Not knowing the severity, being first-time homeowners, we did just that and didn't question it. Not once did he recommend upgrading service, checking our crawlspace for damage, etc. If we had known how severe, we would have purchased an upgrade and had the problem addressed immediately. We eventually ended up canceling as we had to call Hawx out in between our bi-monthly treatments, but also kept asking for new reps as we had many who were not providing adequate service. Fast forward to March of 2023, and we now have a termite nest coming through our walls. We had a new pest control company come out and inspect, and WOW. The difference in customer service alone was night and day. The new company inspected EVERY inch of our home, inside and out, the crawlspace, attic, and garage. They told us our termite problem (now extending to the second floor) had been here since prior to moving in which is over 4 years!!! We reached out just last week to Hawx with our concerns via email, and they did not respond after 5 days. I wrote them back, and finally, they responded saying they couldn't talk to me because my husband's name was on the account. After getting his approval to speak to me, they then told me that my plan did not include termite treatment. I was furious! Obviously, it did not, because we had no idea we had termites. Once responding back about how I knew we didn't have it in our plan, but they are the experts in pest control and didn't even offer this to us, they stopped responding again. I still have yet to hear back from them and it has been 4 days. Not only did this company drop the ball several times, but their customer service is also a joke as well. The reps do not notate anything on their reports and do not provide full inspections. I've heard from many people that they've heard terrible things about them, so do not believe these reviews. This company is now costing us many thousands of dollars, and a full repair of half of our house due to their negligence. We can't even feel comfortable in our homes and are devastated at how a "professional" company is okay with their service to honest homeowners. So I called - they would not take "NO" for an answer... They tried to upsell me at a discounted rate, they wanted to keep me on the phone until I agreed to pay the 13th month (August) for a service visit scheduled in October! High pressure sales and total waste of money. No noticeable difference in pests they were supposedly eliminating. On their initial visit I was asked if we were having any issues and I told them the flies had been really bad. They said they didn't treat those and recommended a product from Amazon. On a subsequent visit I shared we were having issues with moles in the yard. As you might guess by now, they don't treat those either, but I was told I could go to Lowes and purchase something for them. Apparently they don't help with mice either because we buy traps to catch those too. So on top of all I've spent out of pocket from Amazon and other retailers to actually eliminate our pests, I have also spent nearly $500 with these folks and I am stuck in a contract with these guys for another year unless I want to give these people another $500 for nothing. In short, just go buy what you need from Amazon, Lowes, or Walmart because that's what they are going to tell you to do anyway while still padding their pockets for their "services". read more

I've been using this service for 2 years and they were great until recently. I don't know what happened but now I can't get them to show for an appointment. I scheduled one online and they didn't show. I called to reschedule (they said they could see I had an appointment but didn't see why no one came) and had to wait 2 weeks for the next appointment. When they missed their window again, I called and was told they were running late but I would be next. Near the end of the day they still hadn't shown up, so I called again and was told the notes said they showed up but my gate was locked and they couldn't reach me. That was a lie because we left our gate open all day, we don't have locks on our gates, our Ring cameras didn't show anyone arriving, and they also didn't ring the doorbell. The representative told me he rescheduled me for a third time for Monday, and when they didn't show, I called again to find out it was another week out. I've been waiting all month to get a wasp problem taken care of so we can complete a house project. It started with the sales person. He was a great salesman but as time went on every thing he said was a lie to get you to sign up. He told me I had services that I didn't even have. I signed up with a friend at the same time and we ended up with different services for different prices. When you call to talk to customer services everyone says something different about what happened. When the service men come out to treat your house with the products it takes them about 10 at most and when you check afterwards you still see spiderwebs and bugs still are out. Now they say you can call them back to return but it hard to get an appointment that works for you and that they don't change. I explained before I signed up if I would be able to get appointments that worked with my schedule and I was told yes. I've tried to get Saturday for my services and they changed to a Monday without even contacting me. This has been a hassle for a whole year. I'm relieved it's finally over. I have had hawx for a little more over a year. This past month they increased their prices without notifying me. They said they sent an email, but they did not. I would have canceled the moment I received it. The price increased from 89 dollars to 150 dollars. They changed the plan to a monthly payment system which I did not agree too. SO they basically charged me without providing any service. So I called them to cancel the service and they told me I still had to pay the 44 dollars so basically nothing. I do not recommend this company, because they will jack up your prices without any warning. Also you can get the same service cheaper with different companies. The product they use may not be the best either, I have had to call them for re-services multiple times. read more
