We contacted Economy to help us tame them and have found Economy's employees to be professional, courteous and reliable. Stephen was at our home recently to access an insect party. He did a thorough inspection and made recommendations for treatment. He made us feel that we were in competent hands. The estimate that he gave us was very reasonable. Greg came shortly afterwards to treat our home and yard for pests. He was prompt, professional and experienced. He was nice too and listened to all of our concerns. Natalie, who answered the phones, was very attentive and found answers to my questions very quickly. I love that Economy set up a monthly service. Yes, they do make you sign a contact but you're given all the info up front about cancellation fees, quarterly charges, etc. we're currently renting anyways so the year of applications will work out perfectly! The technician who came to treat/spray was super quick. In some instances, I thought he could have spent a little more time spraying ALL nooks and crannies. I know we have a lot of stuff in our garage right now but I highly doubt he covered much area bc he was in and out so fast. (Due to spiders, I would have liked a little more coverage). And I thought the sales guy said they would spray in the cabinets under the sinks and I don't recall seeing him do that. I have only seen like, one ant and maybe 2 spiders inside since the initial spray. (I f-ing HATE spiders!) I like that the treatment works on all types of insects. I also like that they treat your YARD... where all these critters live. I have also been paranoid about ticks. Like I said, so far so good!

Within minutes, it was like the opening scene of a nature documentary--mosquitoes dropping like drama queens at a soap opera finale. I went outside the next evening expecting the usual swarm, but it was eerily quiet. Too quiet. Like the mosquitoes held a tiny funeral and decided to haunt someone else's backyard.

For the last 6-7 days, I have seen at least 10 roaches in my home. I have a really hard time even…read moretalking about roaches but this review needs to be written. My husband usually handles the immediate pest control (killing or catch and release), but since he works out of state for half the year, I've had to gather up every inch of my strength and handle all 10 of these beasts. While I was waiting for my current company to call me back after multiple texts and messages over a 7 day period, I realized that I didn't HAVE to wait, so I started my search. Within 5-10 minutes on the app nextdoor, it was clear that Lance with Mayday Pest Control was my guy. I gave him a call at that very moment. In the back of my mind, I knew that the chances were very slim that I would receive same day service. Same day service was never offered to me in the past with my previous pest control company, so I didn't even know same day service was an option. I always had to wait weeks for help and figured that was the norm. Lance is so incredibly knowledgeable and was very kind, helpful and VERY patient with me on the phone during that first phone call. I was a total mess, to say the least. I'm pretty sure he could hear the fear in my voice and the urgency of my request. I hadn't slept in 3 days. I'm from California so a spider here and there is just about all I can take. Lance worked a FULL day yesterday and went out of his way to fit me in at the end of the day last night, which was Saturday. I am so grateful that people like Lance are out there in the world. He let me know he would be starting outside first and then come in for the remaining treatment. Side note: Lance takes extra precautions before entering my home maintaining safety protocols, due to the current pandemic / COVID-19. I am immunocompromised and recently had brain surgery so these are unfortunately things I have to be careful with. I didn't even have to mention it, he already had it covered. He was so detailed, and told me what he was doing as he went along. Like anyone with a pet, I was concerned about my 3 cats and he assured me that everyone would be safe. I absolutely believed him 100%. He's just that kind of guy. Multiple times during his visit, he reiterated to me that if anything comes up at all, big or small, just shoot him a text and he will handle it promptly. It is not often you find a business owner that will provide the level of care and personal attention that Lance provides to his clients. He was honest, didn't try to push services that weren't necessary and when I saw my total for everything he had done, including same day service, and added me AFTER his last client of the day... his service was more than reasonably priced. I would have paid 10x as much as I did to finally be able to sleep last night. Best night of sleep in a long time.

I am rather disappointed in the inconsistent service I have received from this Orkin branch, and…read moretheir inability to make me feel confident in the services I am paying for. To preface, I requested service from Orkin because my previous pest control provider didn't handle carpenter bees. After searching around, this branch seemed to be the only company willing to take care of them, and this was supposed to include the second story of my house. While inquiring for this service, I checked the Orkin website and even called customer support. For one, I was assured the second story would be no problem. They also verified that the service would include a dust insecticide followed by sealing the bore holes, which I read was the best method on their site here: https://www.orkin.com/pests/stinging-pests/bees/carpenter-bees. After the initial inspection, I was told that carpenter bee treatment requires a 7 month treatment plan, and for "my benefit", this would include all their other basic pest control as well. I'm not sure how dusting and sealing holes takes 7 months, but I didn't have many options considering no other company would handle the second story. When the first technician arrived, he did not do the dusting, but rather sprayed a liquid insecticide. I asked if they were planning to seal the holes, as that was the reason I agreed to use them for the service, and he told me they do not do this after he called his manager. Frustrated, I told myself, "whatever, so long as they get rid of the bees, I'll deal with it." A week later, the bees were back. I called to schedule a follow up service. I reminded them I needed the second story serviced, and they assured me again this was no problem. The technician arrived but immediately cancelled because he didn't have a ladder. I was told they would reschedule with someone who had a ladder, but this never occurred. Fast forward a month to my next regular scheduled service, and after checking my camera, they again failed to service the second story, and the bees persisted. They also failed to check or ask about the mouse traps that the first technician set when he was here for the initial service, and when I called to ask about this, they told me to do it myself if I didn't want to wait until my next service. Needles to say, I have no faith that my home is being properly treated, and it is especially frustrating because I'm paying extra for the bee service. I have left messages with their office and have not heard anything in months from them. I hope they can do something to make this right, and correct the information they are giving people.
