If I could post a HALF star, I probably would. Here's why. Their communication is horrendous. Even if you're lucky enough to get Joe's cell number, chances of him returning your call are very minimal. Even if it's a potentially hazardous electrical situation, he'll be sure to ignore your request. Also, during the summer months, they won't even pick up the phone. They seem to be continuously under staffed. It's unfortunate but they are notorious for performing the work and then disappearing into thin air. How could any customer recommend their services when they continue to disappoint? I've had to become a YouTube electrician just to get things working normally. Thanks guys! read more

They told me to check my GFI which I did and it now knocked out more power in my house and they told me they don't have anybody to come see and everybody in Bend Oregon as far as electricians are booked out until March and now I don't have any electricity and they said oh call somebody else in Jefferson County or cook county don't call these people read more

Very little internet presence. No website, no FB page. 3 reviews on Angies List (and I don't believe 2 of them after my experiences), nothing on Yelp, nothing on Google Reviews. Not BBB accredited. We, unfortunately, had to do business with this company as they were the company that did the wiring in our home which was still under warranty at the time. The business cards have Joe Hawkins name, telephone number, and email on them. There is no other contact info. provided. Hawkins did not return ANY phone calls. Hawkins did not return ANY emails sent directly to Hawkins email. I FINALLY got a call from an new, part-time, office-gal AFTER I sent email via Angie's List. However... once Hawkins realized that I was calling about warranty work... I never heard back. I finally saw Joe Hawkins himself in my neighborhood and introduced myself and attempted to schedule an appointment/get a return call/return email & he wasn't at all interested - he was too busy with new work given to him by the builder to deal with existing work done for the same builder. It took a month to get an appointment - his non-responsiveness an unwillingness to work on an existing home/completed home had to be escalated within the builder's company - he was not responding to "regular ol' employees", a Manager had to get involved to finally get an appointment scheduled. Going forward, for any issue that isn't related to warranty... I'd find another electrician, I wouldn't use Hawkins which is a shame because I feel like since they did the work, they'd be the best company for any future job. But... like I said "Eek! Methinks not" and now you know why. read more

I have had an amazing experience with Hawkins electric. I had them come and do some warranty work. They were responsive and called me back within 2 hours of my message. That was the only time I got a machine and it was very early in the morning. Joe didn't come to my house but a couple of other trucks did and they fixed my issue in about 30 minutes and were gone. I called them back to do some additional new work then and they were just as responsive. Before I called them the first time I checked all the positive reviews on Google, Angie, and Yelp to make sure these guys were legit. Of course I see their trucks everywhere now around town. They came back and actually suggested a cheaper and BETTER option than what I was thinking about an outside electric heater on my deck. They wired it all up and I love the change they suggested. Great company great support team and some fast high quality electricians. I would highly recommend. I could only find one bad review and that says a lot too... read more

Not only have I seen the quality work first hand from Hawkins Electric, but I've had friends 3 use this contractor's business and they have had great experiences. They all had quick call backs and time was made to fit them into the schedule even though they are super busy. Excellent service all around. read more

This company was very quick their callback for scheduling. Although they're are booked out quite always due to high demand for their services they were willing to put us on a wait list for possible cancellations. I'll call them back again when Bend isn't in its latest building craze. read more
