*DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY* I had a few outdoor electrical needs for my business, and Gold Electric came highly recommended on an online community chat. Eric was quick to come out to give me an estimate, he even fixed a hazardous hot wire for me at this time (something I didn't even know was a problem). I was very pleased with the level of customer service at this point. He was however slow to give me a written estimate, schedule the actual service, and/or answer any questions in a reasonable amount of time. I was anxious to get the work completed and he had the soonest availability, so I proceeded (against my better judgement). The work was done unexpectedly, as a fill in for a same day cancellation. Upon completion of the work, he requested payment on the same day. I was out of town, so couldn't accommodate this request. I also hadn't even seen the completed work. I thought it was a bit unreasonable to ask for same day payment, especially after showing up unscheduled to do the work. The solar lights were not bright at all, they were bulky, flimsy, and kicked over within a week. I was wondering if he picked the lights up from Walmart, as I saw the same ones there for $19.99. I texted him (our form of communication up until this point) to communicate this. NO reply. I texted him again one week later. Again, NO reply. I then sent an email to the company, Mindy (his wife and also works in the business) replied to me the same day with an apology indicating Eric would call me the next day. NO call. Unbelievable. Horrible customer service. I would NOT recommend this business. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Wait for the local, well known and respected, electrical company to put you on their schedule. He spent some time surveying the project. He said he would get back with me on the estimate because the contractor I was working with authorized it. He took my only electrical print so he could give an estimate. Didn't hear from him. Followed up with him then he said he had emailed it. I asked him to email again. He never did so I called him again and asked him about my electrical print. This company is amazing!! I can't recommend them enough. After having some problems with a couple outlets, I started calling around to some electricians to get some help. The first few I tried didn't go so good. The 1st guy was way rude and obviously didn't want the work and the next couple still haven't even returned my call. Little did I know thatthe next electrician would not only meet my expectations, but he would come in above as if it was his standard. We asked this company to come out and lay electrical wire in conduit for a new barn, although they took a long time to get out to our property due to scheduling challenges, we were OK with that because we knew that they were very busy. After they came out we were told that they would put us on the schedule a month out for December 9th for install. A week before the install I called and verified with their office they would be out and was told yes. Two days before the install I called again as the excavator wanted to open up trenches around our property for them. Once again I was told we were on the schedule and I let them know we were going to dig trenches all around the yard so we were counting on them being there. The day of the install arrived and no one showed up. I tried calling the office no answer. I tried calling the person that came out to the property who I believe is one of the owners no answer. I texted numerous times and finally received a call back telling me that their office should not have scheduled this work because they still had some coordination to do. He promised me they would reach out and do their coordination and would have someone here within a week to finish out the work so we could close up all of the holes in our yard. Today is January 14th, still no call no show. This company cost me a a lot of money in excavation fees which I will have to absorb, and is completely unreliable in terms of meeting schedule promises and responding. read more
