I have had the pleasure of working with High Lakes Electric twice. Once last year to install a Tesla gen3 wall charger and today to install a Tesla Universal charger to work with the original wall charger. This specific config isn't super common; power management group both wall chargers dynamically sharing the same 60 amp circuit. High Lakes Electric knew exactly what this setup was and quickly got me scheduled. Installation went very smoothly and both chargers worked as expected dynamically splitting the load across the 60 amp circuit. Eventually I plan on adding powershare once it becomes available in Bend, and I know who I will be contacting for the installation! read more

Sad I can't give six stars. These folks deserve it for several reasons... 1. Bidding: Super easy and thorough. Walked through all the options and price points. 2. Procurement: They pointed me to the highest value options and even picked up the parts for me at Home Depot. 3. High Lakes Electric is a husband (Cory) and wife (Christie) operation where she runs the office and he's probably the only person out in the field running a one man operation. I submitted a bid / estimate request to replace a burned line from my shutoff to my hot tub; and rather giving me an estimate; he came out and charged me an hour for a 5 minute diagnostic. I understand everyone's time is valuable and I have no problem paying for work performed. However, the diagnosis he gave me was wrong after I relayed it to my hot tub person. I tried to reach Cory by calling the office and rather having him call me back; his wife filters his calls and wants me to explain to her the situation. Instead of hearing me; she talks over me and it begins to feel like an uphill battle where we're even communicating. She goes off on a tangent and then tells me that I'm rude; which i wasn't as I had her on speaker phone with my assistant listening in on the whole thing so that she can be involved when I'm not available. In short, if you want professionalism don't do business with this company. Cory seemed to be ok; but he's all about the money and trying to get paid for his time. Christie don't want Cory to be bothered and filters his calls and is extremely rude. Within time, she'll run this business to the ground read more

Super difficult to deal w they told me to wake up early to call back on a specific date and when i called to refrence this the female working the desk reached out anf was SUPER rude. She got a huge attitude about me attempting to call at her requested time to get on their scheule and was super bitchy and condescending for absolutely no necessary reason. Someone should check her attitude or fire her for how super unprofessional she is. Why would someone want to work w a company that treats its clients so badly and who is so difficult to coordinate with? This business is apparently affected by COVID stay away!! And I absolutely did not call and threaten a single thing or call ten times call logs to prove it you LOL. Such a joke i called when you specified and did not call ten times i was simply trying to schedule and the front desk girl called back w a rude attitude i was going to remove this and move on but i think it needs to be kept so people know how rude wnd unprofessional you are. Horrible customer service. Took 2 calls/e-mails to get response for appt. Made appt and they cancelled the day before, understandably due to snow storm. Rescheduled for 10 days later, this am 8-830am. After 9 am I called and the receptionist said I wasn't on calendar for today, nowhere period. The claimed it either got lost, and a family emergency occured, and we could re-schedule. I told her I was sorry about her problems but I wasn't going to spend any more of my time expecting them to show. She says " Thanks for calling, hope you find someone else to help and hung up. They made very little effort to contact me even though they set the appt up two months prior. And then they "kindly" declined to reschedule. I know they are probably over worked and don't have enough electricians, but that was no way to treat a well meaning client. Having business problems is not an excuse for rudeness. We just had these guys come out today to install can lighting in our kitchen and living room. They were amazing start to finish! We had Cory come out and give us a quote on the work which we got back in 1 day. We then requested another quote for just one of the rooms which he also got back to us in a day. We decided to go with the original plan and have both rooms done. Chrissy in the office was incredibly professional and got us scheduled as soon as we called. Our kitchen turned out to be incredibly difficult due to pluming in the ceiling. Yet Cory and Chrissy both helped design a new layout for the lights. It turned out so great! Our downstairs living space was transformed by these two. These two make an excellent team. They were on time, professional, nice and so helpful. They were really respectful of our home. They tarped our kitchen and living room, cleaned up, swept and mopped! Honestly I think it was cleaner when they left then when they arrived.
