Highlights included a very interesting retro 80s style exhibit on volcanoes that taught us a lot about the local geography. The kids also loved the beautifully done diorama'd historical rooms although more signage explaining some of thoughtful details would have been appreciated. The current art auction was also great to puruse, some beautiful and creative works there. We went to one talk at the amphitheatre that we found surprisingly dry. The otter exhibit was also fun to see as well as learning about the awesome lampreys. We stayed about 3.5 hours and probably could've lingered longer.

They also have an outdoor exhibit with live and items of the pass you will see along the way though out the area. They have places to sit and rest but the outdoor path can be a little steep in certain area, if you have a hard time walking, you might want to enjoy more time on the indoor exhibits. They have a restaurant and gift shop with area to sit if you need to rest. The restrooms are clean & well maintained and they even have handicapped restrooms. The parking is large and if someone has trouble walking you could drop them off in the front where they have benches they can wait until you get back from parking the car. This specific config isn't super common; power management group both wall chargers dynamically sharing the same 60 amp circuit. High Lakes Electric knew exactly what this setup was and quickly got me scheduled. Installation went very smoothly and both chargers worked as expected dynamically splitting the load across the 60 amp circuit. Eventually I plan on adding powershare once it becomes available in Bend, and I know who I will be contacting for the installation!

I recently hosted a baby "Sip & See" in the mezzanine at Stoller Wine Bar and it was exactly what we were hoping for. The space feels tucked away in the best way. It's private enough for a group, but still connected to the energy of the tasting room. Perfect for something celebratory but relaxed. The food and service were both excellent. The menu worked really well for a group setting, with a mix that felt thoughtful and easy for guests to enjoy throughout the event. Everything came out smoothly and was well paced, which made hosting feel effortless. It ended up being the ideal setting for a baby shower. Beautiful space, great food, and a team that made the whole experience easy.

And it's expensive. I'd say about half the store comprises 'regular' goods - canned soups, boxed pasta, sundries, etc., with the rest being interesting instant ramen/pho, spices, teas, candies and other not-so-regular stuff. Much of which you can find far cheaper across the street at Safeway, or at least something close to it. Not everything, of course, but if the local hotel/apartment denizens need a emergency package/can of whatever, not sure why they'd not go to Safeway. Also, and I'm sure this is just a startup issue, but a lot of the goods were unpriced, either on the items or on the shelf labels. Beer, some wine, no produce, a few dairy items, a frozen treat case. Newport Market this ain't. One feature, I'm told, is that they can order anything internationally. In these days of Amazon, I'm not sure how big a draw that might constitute. But maybe. Parking at the Westside Village shopping center is already a bit of a zoo and from what I can see, many of the commercial spaces are not yet tenanted. Those folks looking to go to Banger & Brews might soon be miffed at the difficult parking. A-OK. It's different than the norm here in Bend and that's a good thing.

I contacted the hotel to make sure they would send a shuttle to pick us up at Redmond airport. The response back was: Thank you for your inquiry. We do not have airport transportation available this evening and would encourage utilizing ride share such as Uber or Lyft. - Kristen We arrived at 11:30pm at night and paid $70 for an uber to the lodge. Once there, the man at the main desk said that the first shuttle is at 10:30pm and is usually full because it's for airline stewards. Then he gave us a map and directions to go to our room, Room 4004 in building A. We walked to building A, didn't find out room, and then walked around for another 30 minutes at 1am exhausted. We finally determined there was no room number 4004. This was a farce. We walked back to the reception and he said that the system said there was a room 4004 but apparently there wasn't. He said the lodge was almost completely booked. Our options were a lackluster room with a view of a dirt hill down to the pool or a room with bunk beds. We chose the dirt hill. We will definitely never come back here and hopefully be able to find another hotel tomorrow.

It has 2 pools with a hot tub and fire pits. It also offers a decent little gym and a restaurant. Don't forget about the best part of all the river runs through the lodge itself.

That was disappointing, but she ordered the Summertime and she said it was "nice", but "nothing special". I had a glass of La Griveliere and I would describe it the same way. Ha. I've been going consistently for several months now and there is always a new move and challenge.
