This is 100% a hole in the wall spot because I really love their spam masubi's. I also really like that they offer a punch card now for their loyal customers. I told myself the next time I visit I'll try something different. I also really appreciate that they take phone orders, it makes my life easier since I have a limited time frame for lunch. By the time I get there my food is ready.
Delicious Hawaiian food in Manassas. The location makes you question if you are in the right place but the food is soooo good! I tried the spicy teriyaki platter multiple times and it hits the spot every time. Shout-out to the Mac and cheese as well. Everything is made to order so expect a bit of wait especially around rush time. Limited seating in store but their takeout packaging is good enough - just make sure you eat it hot
We had a pretty good experience with delivery. I think next time we'll wanna eat there so that the pork cutlet and the beef is fresh. It was very unique with the Korean Sion and the portion sizes were good. I really like the spam musubi.
Awesome spam and hawaiian place in Manassas! Little quaint hole in a wall place with cheap but hefty portions. Great customer service. I saw them handle a weird and rude customer so easily. Their bulgogi fries are a fave.
Love the food here. I ordered the teriyaki chicken combo. Their Mac salad is great. They give you a huge portion. So worth the price. Would definitely go back.
A cozy little spot that has FABULOUS food. Comfortable, and reasonably priced for the portions, with kind staff. Would definitely return :) got the spicy pork loco bowl, pork curry rice, and spam musubi. Everything was fresh, the meat was tender and well-seasoned. The pork had a lovely heat without being so spicy it hurts. Lol my only qualm is that I don't live here so I can't make this a regular spot I come to!
First time here, we have missed having a good Loco moco and musibi. Since we don't live in the area we decided to try several menu items. The portions are great, the food is fresh and very flavorful. We have a lot of leftovers to enjoy! When we are in the area again we will definitely return!!
Great food here and the service is good too. We had food here few times and there's quite a few selection here. The bulgogi is very tasty and the side dishes are great too.
Pleasantly surprised!!! Well done! So now that I have that out the way, any islander will know that this food is more Hawaiian-adjacent than actual Hawaiian cuisine. Not that that's at all bad. The ingredients and presentation are all on point. I ordered the bulgogi meat plate with a slaw, mac salad, rice & a healthy portion of bulgogi-ish meat. Seriously, it's so good, but it's not really the kind of conventional or even fusion Hawaiian food. But it's really good. Kudos!!! I will definitely go back!
Holy smokes, this is an awesome spot. I got their spam musubi for takeout and it was cooked perfectly. The sauce on top was tasty, and it's kind of filling, they def don't skimp. I'll have to return and try their bigger entrees cause if it's the same quality, then I know I'll have a great time. It's chill vibes inside with some chairs and seats, and the workers were hard at work making the food.
This place is legit! As good as (if not better) than anything I have ever had on Oahu. The Mac salad was perfect as was the slaw. The spam musibi was absolutely delicious. I am only visiting here for work but I would come back just to go here again.
Today was my first time stopping by this location. I craved chicken teriyaki when I got up this morning, but I didn't want to drive all the way down by the mall to get some. So I was looking into places that had chicken teriyaki on their menu and this place popped up. Since I had to go in-town to visit a USPS store anyways, it all worked out in my favor. I stopped in and got a "Teriyaki Loco" Platter to-go. The item was $14.49, and came out to near $16 after taxes. The staff was super friendly to everyone, and the order was well-packed, with napkins and utensils included in the bag. I was asked at checkout if I had a card to stamp. I stated it was my first visit and the staff member I was speaking with happily explained that they gave out cards which had benefits on them for every few visits to the store that you made. This is a great bonus to draw in more repeat customers. The food was good. The chicken teriyaki was tender and flavorful. It didn't blow me away with any unique or outstanding flavors. It had a generic to-be-expected taste to it, but usually that's just what everybody wants. It was great! I happily ate it, and at the end of the meal was thoroughly pleased and full. The white rice paired nicely, and was cooked good - no clumps or crunchy bits. The mac & cheese on the side was really great! I found that to be an item I was reaching for the most. The restaurant was decently busy, but not crowded. There were a few groups of ones and twos popping in to pick up their pre-ordered food, and place new orders, while I was waiting for my food. This place was by no means a stagnant location, even though it's in the corner of the shopping center. There were a few decorations on the walls and a beautiful fan on the ceiling. There were some nice stickers on the walls, lights strung up, and general Hawaiian shaped decor placed about, but the vibe of out-there Hawaiian feel was a bit lacking. Don't expect an all-out experience! It's more of a order-n-go kind of place. The kitchen had a nice open layout where you could see your food being made, and it was a nice to see that again - most places have everything walled off these days. I enjoyed my time here. The location was easily found. The staff was friendly and inviting. The food was packaged well, with all included necessities. The food was delicious with no issues experienced. All-in-all, a great location. I hope everyone gives this place a try at least once.
I came here for my birthday dinner, and it was such a great comfort Hawaiian/Korean joint! First off, this spam musubi is the best I've ever had - including ones I tried in Hawaii! The loco moco was good, the platter portion is definitely hefty and can feed two people. I wish the gravy was more peppery, but otherwise takes me back to Hawaii :) The soy garlic pork was also delicious. While it may seem like no-frills on the outside, please come and support this local restaurant, the owners are incredibly kind!
Reviews are largely positive. People highlight the fresh, flavorful food, generous portions, and friendly staff. The casual, clean atmosphere is also appreciated.

Not many Hawaiian food places around but this place is legit! The food was bomb and delicious. Reasonable prices and great portion sizes, very fulfilling. The spam musubi is huge! Place is pretty clean but a little outdated, and the outside looks a little shady. Food is made to cook so will be a small wait time. Friendly staff and great food! read more
Was curious about how this place would be so boyfriend and I decided to grab dinner one night as we were both feeling particularly lazy and did not want to cook. I settled for the loco moco and my darling opted for the katsu. We also got an order of spam musubi to try. To start off with, portions were huge. My loco moco was a good solid dish. Meat was juicy and smothered in gravy. Gravy wasn't bad, though it was lacking a bit in flavor for me. Katsu tasted like any other Katsu you would get for takeout. Did not come with the gravy, which disappointed my boyfriend, so he dipped his cutlet pieces in mine lol. Spam musubi was eh at best. Food wasn't bad. If anything, decent at best. Definitely a place to hit up if you don't feel like cooking anything after work or on a weekend. It'll fill you up and you may or may not have leftovers depending on how much your stomach can handle in one sitting. read more

Hubby and I got the bowls. Flavors were good for both our dishes. But the portions are a bit on the smaller side. Hubby was still hungry and I was ok. The sides and rice were skimpy...Felt like that's the portion I would give my 6 year old. I'll try the platter next time and maybe update my review. read more

It's been over a year and this place still stands at 5 stars. We've come in within closing hour (I know; shame on us!) and service and food remains top notch. We love the staff and their dedication to serve their customers. The sauces continue to hit with every bite. The only con is we wish we lived closer! read more

I'm so glad I read other reviews because I probably would never have tried this place based on where it's located. It doesn't stand out from the multiple used car businesses and is small. Don't let that stop you from going there! It's a Korean/Hawaiian fusion restaurant. In other words, they have traditional Hawaiian food including Loco Moco, Spam musubi and Korean Bulgogi. They have teriyaki chicken as well. The four sauces available are made in house. The teriyaki isn't as sweet as most other restaurants but that's a plus for me. My husband ordered the Spam musubi and Beef Bulgogi. He liked them but brought his own Sriracha sauce to add heat. I'm sensitive to MSG so they told me don't order the brown gravy for the Katsu or macaroni salad. I appreciate them knowing their products for my sake. The employees are very friendly and helpful. They prepare the food as ordered so it took about 15 minutes when they weren't busy. It's not fancy just good. Many people piled in as we were leaving to pick up to go orders. It reheats well which is good because I could only eat half. read more

First time having Hawaiian food and it was delicious. Spam Musubi and the dip they give with it was incredible, like a big sushi sandwich is how I would describe it to someone who hasn't had spam Musubi. People working the counter are very nice and friendly, and the decor of the place is like a casual tropical lunch spot. Will definitely be returning read more

Traveling South and wanted something different. Have this place a try. Very nice and welcoming staff. Ordered Chicken Loco bowl w/ Sriracha sauce on the side, husband ordered Chicken Loco bowl w/ brown sauce on his meal. Food was tasty. Our rice was on the cool side of warm, wish it was hot. I should have had my sauce on the meal, was fried a bit too hard for me. Overall good and would recommend this place to travelers. read more

I lived in Hawaii for 4 years and ate at many Loco Mocos (think chain fast food but Hawaiian-style) and this spot comes close but still needs some tweaking. The folks behind the counter are super nice, very engaging and even offered my son a Chupa Chups (common lollipop in Hawaii and even Asian markets like Lotte around VA). The service was friendly and as fast as possible considering they were cooking our food fresh behind the counter as we waited. The space is clean, you can tell they are proud of their establishment, there is space to sit and dine in, if you desire. They even have an Instagram worthy wall, if that's your thing. The menu is limited but I don't mind that, it spoke to me of comfort foods back in Hawaii. The sauces are flavorful, the rice sticky, but this is a Korean-Hawaiian fusion spot so there are some differences. The spam musubi was really really good, I couldn't get enough, the sauces and spices leveled it up for sure! But... I wish they also offered just typical/traditional spam musubi too (which would be no sauces except maybe a garlic soy between the spam and egg and in its whole form, not cut in half). The Katsu was quite tasty but it was over sauced, the sauce on the side would be better, especially to help it retain a true crunchy panko breading. The teriyaki chicken was my least favorite, the teriyaki wasn't thick enough or sweet enough, it was actually a bit bland, it would also help if it were grilled full-size pieces of chicken just sliced instead of cut in to bite size pieces... it lost that grilled flavor it should have. My last "complaint" is that the macaroni salad was not "saucy" enough... double the sauce and thin it just a little... the macaroni salad should be able to be scooped out with an ice cream scoop and retain its form, that being said, it still provides a good nostalgia of the islands. I should have tried their bulgogi because if I heard correctly, the owners are Korean and have never lived in Hawaii, so I'll bet (or I hope) that it would be the best of the meats. If the owners are reading this, lose the random cherry tomato... that's throwing money away and I'm guessing the cabbage salad perhaps is a fusion piece but it's also unnecessary for Hawaiian fast food... save money by not doing those things and spend more in quality meat. The fries are to die for by the way, that beer battered crunchy perfection with soft insides that I don't think anyone can actually say they dislike. The popcorn chicken needs a facelift, they tasted like minced chicken with filler? I loved the crunchy outside but was disappointed when I didn't find full pieces of meat inside (pssstt... use the same chicken you do with the teriyaki bites and those poppers with be 1000times better). I plan to return to try the bulgogi platter and get more Musubi and fries.... Hopefully they continue to evolve because I feel like this spot is on its way to being 5-star with a few small changes. read more

My husband and I love Hawaiian food and Korean food, so we couldn't wait to come in to try HawaU! We ordered a Loco Moco, Katsu Loco (comes with the teriyaki brown sauce), a double order of spam Masubi, and two of the drink specials (strawberry lemonade). Everything was so yummy! Service was wonderful - quick to order, friendly, and our order was hot off the grill really fast. Easy and free parking. Highly recommend! read more

Both delicious! Katsu was crispy and the gravy savory. Bulgogi fries were crispy and smothered in bulgogi and sauce. SO good! Musubi was BIG and delicious. We got the Bulgogi (beef) bowl and the teriyaki bbq chicken bowl. I saw actual Korean people running the place and cooking the food, so I got excited about eating here. I'm from Hawaii and I miss the authentic Korean food you can get from many places over there. Plate lunches are a thing we miss eating which always comes in a takeout container and contain one large scoop (like an ice cream scooper) of macaroni salad and 2 scoops of rice, along with some type of meat or seafood. We got the the bbq chicken and Bulgogi bowls. The macaroni salad was okay but had a bunch of plain shredded cabbage next to it. Both dishes had a huge amount of onions mixed into the meat and chicken, which was not divulged on the menu. It's like they used the onions as a filler - to stretch out the amount of overall meat and chicken you get. The chicken was chopped up into little bits which we were not expecting. It's normally a whole thigh. Suffice to say, we won't return. read more

we ordered the katsu platter, loco moco platter, and 2 spam musubis with all the sauces on the side. the flavors are amazing and the portions r great for the price ($13 for the platter). i went back the next day to try the lemonade which was very tart, flavorful, and not watered down even though I went near closing time. They also have a berry lemonade which they sold out before I got there. I can definitely see myself going often from now on! i definitely recommend trying everything on the menu! read more
