Arrived early-afternoon and ordered the vegetarian plate which came with mac salad and rice and the Chinese chicken salad made extra spicy. Took less than 10 minutes to receive our plates. The salad was fresh and the grilled vegetables and chicken were warm, cooked well, and flavorful. The food came with lots of dressing on the side that seemed to be a mix of soy sauce and sesame oil. I liked that there was a bar where you could add extra seasonings like Sriracha, Tabasco, and furikake. I ordered my chicken salad extra spicy, and the extra spicy is exactly that. There are lots of fresh Thai peppers added, seeds and all. Overall, the food was very filling and yummy! The exterior is cute with plenty of parking at the lot. The interior is clean with plenty of seating and natural lighting from the windows. read more

My family and I use to love Hawaiian Time, pre covid until they changed how they cooked everything, before the meat was cooked in the teriyaki sauce so your meat wasn't dry, now they cook it separately and you have to ask for the teriyaki sauce. Not as good as it used to be and so now we don't go there. I don't know why they had to change because I am sure a lot of people stopped going, I know when I say how I miss going people refer to other places which they say is so much better. We have been back a few times since they changed to see if it has gone back to the way they use to cook, but sadly no. read more

Get worse every time. So much fat on the pork, barley any rice. There is no consistency. Its either ok, or terrible.

The food wasn't that bad besides the meat being raw. Unfortunately my fiancé whom is pregnant and I had ate some before we noticed. Well at least they remade the meal and added extra extra extra black pepper to the macaroni salad in retaliation. The manager was nice but still not happy and won't be returning. Good luck everybody else. read more

Your online order seeing is terrible!!! I can't get anyone to answer the phone to place an order then it refers me to a crappy online ordering system! The food is good. Best macaroni salad in town. The seating area is bland. read more

So first of all the lobby's closed to do 4 workers? And they had the audacity to let some friends in while I'm sitting in the curb in the rain waiting for my food... and second of all my food came out cold with no mandatory sauce and no forks how the hell do you want me to eat my food? And then last but not least we ask for extra sauce and they say you have to pay for it? So then I by a 9! Dollor bottle of teriyaki sauce.? The fuck are we doing hawian time. read more

I got a salad and I open it up and the sauces have a total of 4 whole garlic cloves in them and the I add the sauce go to stir it up and realize they packed it upside down even wrote on the top so all my sauce when everywhere how can you be so clueless and not see 4 giant cloves in a small sauce container and can even pay attention to how to package the food absolutely insane read more

My brother and I came into the location tonight - keep in mind that this is my first time coming to a Hawaiian Time AND I'm a pretty picky eater - and WOW! First, the food was INCREDIBLE, possibly the best meal I've ever eaten in my life. Second, the customer service was very good! The gal up front was super friendly, patient and answered any questions that we had about the available meals. The food came to us very quickly, less than five minutes from the time we ordered! Lastly, these portion sizes are HUGE! Usually when you go to restaurants you see the disheartening effects of Shrink-flation, with very small portion sizes and nauseatingly high costs. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the food was affordable - and again, yummy, too! All-in-all, I was very pleased and will likely return in the future! Thank you, everybody! Hope you have a wonderful evening! read more

Tried to give this business a second chance, nope!!!! They have the worst costumer service. Ordered food. Missing ingredients on the salad, pathetic. DON'T EAT HERE!!! read more

Placed an online order. When we arrived, they had "not received it." Showed them the receipt so they could make it. Oops, they're out of kalua pig, too! So that part's not great. But the staff was apologetic and very polite & friendly. And they filled the missing order quickly. Food was about the same as it has always been. read more

Stopped buy, for dinner and soon Learned they where out of anything pork. So I ordered chicken and it was not as good as in the past. Something is missing in the quality and or ingredient. My favorite is the Mac salad and that is not as tasty as in the past. DISAPPOINTED . I am also a USA veteran , and they do not provide a veterans discount as almost all food services do so in the area. read more

I was going to go to a fast food burger place but saw this place across the street so made my way here. I was hoping to get loco moco but they only had chicken. I went with the teriyaki chicken stir fry with rice and macaroni salad (a staple of Hawaiian fast food). The stir fry was pretty good with a variety of veggies mixed in. The flavor was not too sweet, just right. The salad had, I think pepper, so it was different than other Hawaiian places that pretty much only use mayo. read more

Love Hawaiian time but this time it was not good. Ordered 3 spicy chicken 3 veggie sides and 1 large huli chicken ... all burned . Even the veggies were very over cooked. Still recommend this place but definitely check your order before you drive home. read more

Hello. I have been a customer eating at Hawaiian time since 2003 when they began. For the first time in my life, I went to Hawaiian Time, and it was the most disgusting food I have ever had. I ordered the Kalua Pig Regular size. Unfortunately, I paid cash and forgot to get a receipt so I cannot prove this. There was one small scoop of macaroni, small amount of rice, and barley a baby's size amount of overcooked cold pork. This poor quality of food could have made me sick. After warming it up in my microwave it still tasted like shit. The service was also very slow, as I had only one person ahead of me and waited about 15 minutes while 2 employees were smoking and staring creepily at me to make matters worse. Ooooh my god please hire new people and train them on how to be food service workers that know what they are doing!!! I will never be back to eat at the river road Hawiian time again!!! It happened on Saturday night January 18th, 2025, at about 7 pm: ( read more

This use to be our go to spot when we wanted some good Hawaiian food at a decent price. The connivence of having a drive thru is a added bonus when you don't want to get out of your car. However the last time we ate here it was absolutely horrible. My pork was mostly fat and it wasn't cooked throughly, my husbands chicken was very dry and was more like Jerky. We didn't get any sauces and we live to far to travel back. I tried calling the restaurant when I saw what our food looked like but you get directed to their website if you have a issue. Unfortunately that isn't even up and running. I definitely won't be going back, thankfully we didn't eat the food or I'm sure we would of had food poisoning. read more

I've been a big fan of Hawaiian Time for over 10 years and always loved the food. My wife and I have frequently went to the Springfield, W 11th Ave and River Road locations. The Springfield location has always been outstanding, W 11th Ave we have no complaints, but this location has always been off. First off, over the 2 years of coming here, the drive thru attendants always tend to be lazy, rude, overall apathetic ( beyond the usual measure) and/or high. Also, this is the 3rd or 4th time that we have received our food in a mess, with the cardboard box messes up, and food and liquids leaking out into the bag, making an overall mess. However this time, after eating we both got sick and have had stomach troubles for 2 days now. It was the only thing we ate on Monday so we know it couldn't have been anything else. I would suggest going to the other Hawaiian Time places if you can. read more

The last two times I went here, I feel ripped off. I'm actually so mad right now. I just spent $32 for two large chicken and vegetable plates- and there was only 5 pieces of chicken on one and 6 on the other. I understand having to raise prices, but don't do it dishonestly by hiding the chicken under the veggies. It's been twice now, so not a fluke. I've been going here for years but no more. They're not going to be open very much longer pissing customers off like they are. read more

First of all great service today. Second of all who ever made that Mac salad today 10/10. I can tell your grandma taught you how to cook because that sh*t was made with LOVE. If you keep making it that good I might have to buy some every day. I was at a stop light and decided to have a bite but little did I know I'd be spending the rest of my drive risking my life because Eating that Mac salad was more important than driving. To who ever made that Mac salad I hope you have the best week of your life and something so good happens to you that you cry happy tears. I love you read more

Waste of my money. I got a combo plate of pulled pork and chicken and the pulled pork was mostly fat with about an ounce of real pork. This meal is 80 percent rice, five percent meat, five percent macaroni and ten percent fat. I am disappointed to say the least and won't be back. read more

I used to love this place but I can never order thru grubhub anymore, as I'm not in that area but they're the closest Hawaiin time location to us here in junction city. We called a few times, even called corporate, and asked if it was possible to get them to turn on grubhub availability more consistently, but they chose to be short and rude about it, instead. Sad days! read more

Simple but good. I always get the Kalua pork and smother it in teriyaki sauce. I especially like the Mac salad; again add teriyaki sauce. The atmosphere is cold, but so is the space physically. I guess the high ceilings make it seem really large and empty. Give them a try, the food is good. read more

This place used to be awesome but has gone down hill. I spent 20 minutes in the drive through last night. The chicken was ok. A little dry. The rice is always good. The Mac salad has always been good but let's be honest it's not a true Hawaiian Mac salad. Anyone who has been to Hawaii (I go every year) knows it has potatoes in the mix and doesn't require an entire jar of mayo. It's better with the teriyaki. I wish they had other Hawaiian plate lunch options. Katsu, masubi, etc. there is a new Hawaiian place on coburg I will be trying instead read more

DO NOT EAT HERE. Placed an online pickup order, only to arrive and find out their lobby was closed. I then had to wait 25 minutes in line, just to receive cold food. The "Mac" was just a huge glob of mayonnaise and inedible. The chicken, after checking the temperature, was under 100°. This location should be ashamed, THEY WILL get people sick. What a waste of my time and $25. Eat at your own risk. read more

I'm not sure what is going on at this location but the food quality is getting bad! I used to like it here! A few months ago I was not feeling well all I wanted was the salad from here with chicken and no onion because I can't have them due to allergy to them, I was given extra so I called and the girl wasn't so nice on the phone. I was how ever allowed to exchange my salad. I still went back a few more times and the quality seemed disappointing. The meat seemed like it was old, and the lettuce wilted. About 2 weeks ago my guy and his friend ate here and they both felt sick after eating here. My guys friend said he felt sick for 2 days. Now last night another friend came over and said he had just came from this location and was feeling sick to his stomach and wanted to vomit. He said the meat did not taste right and it was small and seemed like it was day old or something! All he could think of was not wanting to throw up the mac salad! We gave him tums to help and told him of what happened with all of us! We hope something changes because it used to be good here!!! I don't know is it lazy employee's? read more

Chicken was overcooked and dry. Terrible. Whoever works at this location doesn't give a shit.

Great food, great service :) I definitely recommend!! Great for a quick bite to eat. All the service was great and quick, spot on. I loved this location read more

The food is ok here. As for authentic I don't think so. I ordered the HuliHuli Chicken and in my opinion it is a bit dry where you have to smother it with the sauce just to get a moist balance back to the taste. Last, my biggest complaint is this is a fast food joint. The girl behind the counter while I was being rung up asked if I would like to leave a tip. Felt pretty obligated at this point. I'm one for tipping when being served at a sit down restaurant but not a fast food joint. Can you actually see Carls Jr's or McDonald's asking every customer at there counter or drive through " would you like to leave a tip?" Its cheesy and should be stopped by management. This wasn't the first time and probably won't be the last until someone talks to staff. read more

It's bad enough that they took beef off the menu, but they are CONSTANTLY out of the pork! Literally always, to the point I think they're lying about still having it at all. They should just save their money and turn into a teriyaki chicken food truck. read more

why was the rice hard??? ridiculous girl taking my order didn't say a word. felt like i was talking to a robot.

I live next door. I know how good it can be. I'm done. Now there's even more rice under the protein. I paid for extra Mac and got extra rice and less meat. It's always something with this place. Last time it was PERFECT. Other times the pork is either dry or too salty. Imma spend my money at Cha Cha's. What a fuckin joke. read more

I really wanted some teriyaki. This place was the closest, reasonably priced. The portions of rice are huge (A scoop of rice as well as rice under my chicken and vegetables) and the macaroni salad that I asked to substitute for the lettuce was a big ball of mayonnaise.... all in all it was edible but I don't think I'll be back. read more

The food is delicious but I have to rate and say how disappointed I am by how much they have upped their prices. I understand that with inflation the prices will go up but this is way more than necessary. On top of that they give you less chicken!
