Tried to get it reinstated, but it looks like this business listing was created instead...so...putting another review out there. As usual, the interaction and purchase experience was good. GameStop is on a tough business model: even with video gaming becoming bigger than film, tv, and music combined, the move to digital from physical discs has greatly reduced the opportunity to buy and sell used games, which has historically been its bread-and-butter. Plus with Amazon.com also being in this space on-line, it really squeezes competitors and suppliers alike. It's been a while since I last visited, with my annual membership expiring earlier this year. It no longer makes sense for me to have it, with the infrequent purchases (mainly because it takes me a really long time to finish a game), and the discounts being minimal. The store is still arranged similarly to what I remember: sections for Playstation, XBox, and Nintendo. The new and used games were kinda mixed together, but ordered alphabetically. And pricing was definitely based to match Amazon...any sale items were the same price on Amazon. I appreciated saving a little money on the one used game that I found that I was interested in (AC-Shadows set in feudal Japan). The associate found the physical copy easily, applied the appropriate discounts, and we were on our way.

I didn't realize they had such a short window for returns and exchanges. By the time my nephew opened the game and found out that it didn't work, it was beyond that window. GameStop would not budge. Russ tried to resurface it twice and even set up a machine to test it and unfortunately, it still did not work. He then comes back to me and makes me a different offer for them "I can give you $40" it got lower??? Anyways it's better to go take your business with a place that's more honest. With growing popularity, enters Dakin to fill the void of a record store to meet EDM heads' needs! I was impressed to see such a large collection of used and rare house vinyl. I pulled out singles and EPs of OM records, Panhandle, Felix da Housecat, Masters at Work, Mark Farina, Naked Music, Collette and tons of other old house gems. Foot Work also carries techno, trance, drum n bass, and even some 90s hip hop. I love that you can listen to the records before you decide what you want to purchase. They also seem to prefer you left unwanted records in the crate, so they can make sure it gets returned in the correct section. Dakin, the owner, is very welcoming and personable, and was happy to make recommendations for me. I had a great time browsing the selection of records; there are new and used, with some of the used ones not being strictly of the dance genre, but very cool, nonetheless. As other reviewers have noted, there is a listening station with bins where you put the records you don't want so you don't mess up his system--very smart. I'd already had a coffee with me so I didn't partake of the free in-house coffee, but next time! Looks like he'll be able to serve beer and wine soon, so that should add another dimension to the store's experience. If you're a fan of dance and electronic music this is a must-visit!
