The first time I got my shellac done, it didn't come off at all. The second time I was doing something I shouldn't have and chipped my nail on a piece of metal. They redid it right away at no charge. I love this place! the staff are all super friendly and really good at what they do. I have been going to Hawaii Nails and Spa for years and Susan and past employees have become like friends to me they are so great! I always get powder dip on my nails as it not only lasts WAY longer than shellac, it is sturdier, and when they take it off, my natural nail underneath grows stronger! LOVE LOVE LOVE. read more

This place is THE BEST! I found Hawaii Nails & Spa through a quick google search because my nails were in need of a polish change and manicure and luckily this was a quick 15-minute walk from my workplace! I've gone here twice already within the past 1.5 months and I am VERY happy with the service!! I'm usually very picky with my nail salons. I rate each place by their service, cleanliness, precision, quality, and extra perks and I can say this place is a definite 5/5 (I've been to over 10 different nail salons). I walked in the second time wanting a shellac manicure but the owner Susan convinced me to try the dip powder! Literally the best decision I've made. My nails feel healthier, the polish lasts longer and feel stronger, and the colours are beautiful! Can I also mention pricing is reasonable??! The salon, just steps from High Park was very tidy and had comfortable air conditioning, and great ventilation/ air circulation (a lot of salons smell so strong of chemicals - but not this one). Second and last time I went there today. Was handed my purse and was told my nails were dried (they obviously weren't after 10 minutes under the dryer). They were closing so they wanted me out. Both my hands and feet are mess. Waste of $50. Very disappointed. read more

I have been looking for a nail salon since I moved from NY. This is the fourth one I try and I can say it is the best in the neighborhood. I do acrylic and I am really picky. They always make sure I am satisfied, have a lot of options from color to technique and their price are really good. Don't look further this is the best nail salon in the neighborhood. read more

I came today on whim and was happy that they accommodating my walk in request as soon as I got in. I was promptly served by John who was easy going but professional and took great care to give me an awesome pedi. When I went to pay at the end I thought I had gotten the deluxe pedi but this amazing experiencing was just the regular! I play sports so my feet tend to get pretty gross and I'm always embarrassed having some one look at them - but John hooked me up and evened things out - he even had this neat machine to help massage some problem areas (never had it before but will now demand it haha). The massage chairs are the best I've had at any nail salon (they looks deceivingly average). I'll definitely be back again and ask for John again! The only annoying thing is it is cash only - which I will always always hate. But other than that a great and relaxing no frills nail salon. read more

My go-to nail place! I came here the first time with a bunch of girls from work and was immediately impressed. The technicians are all friendly and knowledgeable. I've never had a bad manicure here. They clearly take pride in their work and make sure you leave feeling great. I always get shellacs there, but recently decided to try the dip manicure and it turned out great! Feels very strong. For the third time I have been disappointed with Hawaii nail and spa place in Toronto on 1642 Bloor West St. I suspect there girls are using outdated nail polish or reveals it. That I saw at my first visit there. Then I decided not to complain because this place was just opened and might they need a time to run their business. The second time I angered at myself for visiting this place just before my summer vacation in Europe. Then I was asked to pay $ 100 for poorly done gel nails. I remember it was a shame when nails masters in Budapest were joking around, when they learned how much I paid for those gel nails. So, for a while I avoided this salon. But it happened again that I climbed up on the same rake. Because I live right next door. After my third bad experience with Hawaii Nails & Spa I decided to write this review because after a day my shellac nail polish started to chipped of. So, I went there and girls offered to redo it, but I not agreed because I don't trust any more. I still remember their respond: "So, what you want?!" If you need a good manicure or pedicure I'm advising everybody to avoid this place - just could loose your money for redoing your nails in other places. I walked in hoping to get a shellac manicure. It was pretty busy for 3pm on a Friday but they still had someone who could take me. The salon was very clean and bright. Linda (I think that's what her name was?) really took her time cleaning up my nails, it was probably the best manicure I've ever received. The best part though, is that the shellac has lasted three weeks so far. Shellac rarely ever lasts more than a week on me without chipping! I will definitely be back. read more

I was excited to find this place as it is walking distance from my house. I had meni/pedi done there & they did an amazing job. Very nice & professional. The only thing I wasn't happy about is that they charge $8 for shellac removal on meni & pedi each. I've had it removed for cheaper elsewhere. Overall it was a good experience. read more

I've been doing shellac for years and I just moved in the neighborhood and I decided to try this place. They totally destroyed my nails using a machine to remove the shellac directly on my nail. That machine is supposed to be used on acrylic not on the natural nail! I voiced out and the woman didn't care,worked so hard to get my nails long and I had no choice but cutting them short. I'm going back to the junction it's also cheaper. read more

I do not recommend this nail salon, there are a lot of extra 5 dollar charges you won't be notified about. I had my nails done not really long pretty average and then I find out when its time to pay that it is extra 5 dollars. They will do anything to finesse the extra 5 bucks from you because this is the second time they have done this to me. I think it is really unprofessional and I won't be going back to this nail salon. You go in with a set price they already told you and leave paying so much more plus I still had to tip. The owner is not very nice and seems pretty intimidating! read more
