Havre aux Glaces

This gelato/sorbet shop is so adorable! It's located in a very walkable area with lotsa shops and eateries all around. The staff is friendly and patient as it is not easy choosing from so many yummy flavor offerings. Finally decided on Noisette (hazelnut) and Pistachio in a cup and Dulce de Leche and Noisette in a waffle cone. The Pistachio was unrecognizable at first as it was a pale yellow green in color but had lots of nuts haha. The gelato flavors were very creamy and perfect in sweetness and so so good. So much so that I'd eat it regularly if I were a local and not worried about calories. This guilty pleasure is definitely worth a cheat day!!

Excellent gelato shop with classic gelato and sorbet flavors. I've tried the matcha, pistachio, and passion fruit (sorbet) varieties; while my kid has gotten the raspberry and lemon sorbets both visits. Very friendly service the two times that we've been. The space inside is small with a bar against the wall if you want to have a tabletop, like my kiddo likes. Otherwise, take your goods outside to people-watch and walk around Rue Saint-Catherine Ouest and the surrounding incredibly pedestrian-friendly areas.

Walking around St Catherine, not far from the Place des Arts metro station, I saw this little ice cream shop. I walked in and I had to get something! Ended up getting the pistachio ice cream on a sugar cone. I sat outside and loved seeing people just walking up and down the street on their way to their daily hustle. Nice cute little store.

Great ice cream! Super refreshing. They have lots of different types of ice cream. You can have soft or hard. It's artisanal and tastes amazing. I had the mango, strawberry and dulce de lèche. My wife had the soft ice cream - chocolate 70%. Staff is kind.

Sorbet : raspberry , mango , coconut milk

Cross my heart and hope to die - Cremerie Meu Meu has the best sorbets I've ever had…read more My friend stumbled upon this ice-cream shop tucked in a tiny storefront near the Mont-Royal station on a blistering hot and humid day in Montreal. We first got a double scoop of the Orange and Arctic Fire Sorbets. I'm not usually one to get orange-flavoured desserts/drinks since I can easily get some old-fashioned OJ, but this Orange Sorbet was absolutely divine on the hot day. Sweet and tangy, yet not overpowering. The Arctic Fire was an interestingly sweet with a floral tone - I wish I remembered the main ingredient, but I was too busy indulging in my ice-cream/sorbet addiction. The sorbets were incredibly good. After we devoured them, we went back in immediately to try more flavours. My friend and I ultimately decided on the Mango and Passion Fruit Sorbets, both representing tangy fruits that we enjoy and love. The owner highly recommended the Cantaloupe to help us cool off, and proceeded to give us a free scoop on top of our packed cup! We were so appreciative of the free scoop, and I'm glad we got to try it out! It was my favourite flavour - it genuinely tasted straight like the fruit, just an ice-y form. My friend's favourite was the Orange. If you're in the Mont-Royal area, make sure to give this place a try! I wish we tried some of their ice-cream flavours, but we already did 5 different sorbet flavours that night. Couldn't afford a brain freeze! I think from now on, I'm gonna start trying Orange-flavoured desserts/drinks.

Tried to come back twice :) Overall, lovely, very true-to-flavor and high quality flavors, noting…read morethat some of the flavors are more subtle than others (e.g., in the chestnut and maple). The chocolate ice cream on the other hand is super saturated (note the Dutch chocolate is the same as the sea salt except the salt). While I loved the ice cream, unless I'm specifically in the mood for something creamy, I actually think I would prefer to get the sorbets next time for the more concentrated gelato-like flavor. The matcha sorbet seemed like a winner, but they also have such a wide range of delicious flavors. They let you try some flavors, which is perfect for an indecisive person like me. And the servers are so sweet!

Creperie Chez Suzette is located on Rue Saint Paul which is in the heart of Old Montreal. You would…read moresuspect tourist prices but actually they are quite reasonable and lower than surrounding restaurants. Surprized and delighted by the prices. The creperie has been converted from a clothing store in 1996 from a historical building. There is both a main floor and upper floor dinning area with multiple rooms some much older with a nostalgic look while others are modern. Outdoor seating is also available. I would not come to Montreal and not have crepes. I like both savory & sweet offerings. Creperie Chez Suzette had a 4.5 rating on Yelp so this was my choice on a Thursday afternoon. They have a large menu offering sandwiches, soups (French onion) fondu and salads. I went with the sweet crepe ($18.05) and latte ($6.99). The crepe cut easily with a fork, it was served hot and delicious. I would order it again. The latte was good but could have been cheaper. This place has lines so the service can be delayed at times.

My first visit to the city, and while touring some "popular spots", we found ourselves craving crepes! We did absolutely no planning whatsoever for brunch and wandered in where we were seated immediately. Outdoor dining for 4 on a gorgeous June day! A pitcher of sangria! Burrata, various crepes, and dessert crepes! S'il vous plait! Our waiter was energetic, engaging and entertaining! If you're looking for a relaxing place to chill and enjoy brunch, this is the spot!
