Pandan & taro

The ice cream lacked a lot of creaminess. I know it's vegan, but It just tasted like sorbet. It also lacked the depth in flavour I was hoping for. I know it's hard to find pandan, but it tasted way too artificial. Would not get again. Service wasn't the friendliest. They didn't smile back or had much conversation. The store was pretty empty as well.

Why oh why did i not know about this place?!? Every ice cream is lactose free, some vegan. Oh so delicious. Cute little shop, many flavors to choose from. Will most definitely be back!!!

If you missed last week's flavor like me, never fear! They still have some of it frozen in plastic cups! To get them back to soft serve consistency, just let it warm up a few minutes. Total cost is $5.25. The flavor of last week was pandan (yummy!) and mango. I love pandan and wish there was more of it! This shop location used to be a UPS store up until last year but now it's the newest CaLem location. I'd suspect that this one would have the least lineups compared to the other locations. The interior is bare and spacious...I guess eventually to accommodate the crowds in the (hopefully not too) distant future.

I have been to Calem in NDG and Plateau; this is my first visiting of Calem in the old port. Since it's still brand new; the place do not look welcoming yet. Inside, it's super empty; the AC is barely functional. There in no decor yet. I am hoping with the time, the place will look nicer as the others branches. The staff are super nice and friendly. Downside of this place that the ice cream parlor is a bit too far from the heart of old Montreal. As I mentioned, the AC is barely functional, the moment I received my ice cream, it was already melting. I am hoping my next visit, I will see an improvement and I can change my review.

Montreal is home for a lot of ice cream shops, but some have really stood out as the best. Ca Lem, with its wide variety of flavors and dietary options, definitely hits the mark. We tried the flavour of the week: Strawberry and honeydew. It was delicious and didn't feel heavy at all! They also have permanent flavours which are also worth a try. All of their ice cream flavours are lactose-free, which is definitely a plus. The price was also very reasonable, service was quick and helpful!!

This ice cream was out of this world. While the blueberry flavor I got with graham crackers on top was to die for, I couldn't believe one thing about this ice cream--it was lactose-free! I've never had lactose free ice cream before nor did I know of its existence until the cashier pointed it out. If I was not told, there was no way I would've been able to tell the difference. Wow! What an experience for my tastebuds!

Tried to come back twice :) Overall, lovely, very true-to-flavor and high quality flavors, noting…read morethat some of the flavors are more subtle than others (e.g., in the chestnut and maple). The chocolate ice cream on the other hand is super saturated (note the Dutch chocolate is the same as the sea salt except the salt). While I loved the ice cream, unless I'm specifically in the mood for something creamy, I actually think I would prefer to get the sorbets next time for the more concentrated gelato-like flavor. The matcha sorbet seemed like a winner, but they also have such a wide range of delicious flavors. They let you try some flavors, which is perfect for an indecisive person like me. And the servers are so sweet!

Cross my heart and hope to die - Cremerie Meu Meu has the best sorbets I've ever had…read more My friend stumbled upon this ice-cream shop tucked in a tiny storefront near the Mont-Royal station on a blistering hot and humid day in Montreal. We first got a double scoop of the Orange and Arctic Fire Sorbets. I'm not usually one to get orange-flavoured desserts/drinks since I can easily get some old-fashioned OJ, but this Orange Sorbet was absolutely divine on the hot day. Sweet and tangy, yet not overpowering. The Arctic Fire was an interestingly sweet with a floral tone - I wish I remembered the main ingredient, but I was too busy indulging in my ice-cream/sorbet addiction. The sorbets were incredibly good. After we devoured them, we went back in immediately to try more flavours. My friend and I ultimately decided on the Mango and Passion Fruit Sorbets, both representing tangy fruits that we enjoy and love. The owner highly recommended the Cantaloupe to help us cool off, and proceeded to give us a free scoop on top of our packed cup! We were so appreciative of the free scoop, and I'm glad we got to try it out! It was my favourite flavour - it genuinely tasted straight like the fruit, just an ice-y form. My friend's favourite was the Orange. If you're in the Mont-Royal area, make sure to give this place a try! I wish we tried some of their ice-cream flavours, but we already did 5 different sorbet flavours that night. Couldn't afford a brain freeze! I think from now on, I'm gonna start trying Orange-flavoured desserts/drinks.

Really enjoyed coming here. A surprise find in the Complexe Desjardins located near the McDonalds,…read moreit's off the beaten path from inside the complex but worth searching out. Even though it was cold, we still stopped in for ice cream and the ice cream was terrific. A different take on a sundae with a hard chocolate shell, that shell is nearly impenetrable (even the thin layer) but was so good even by itself. And good ice cream too. Come and stop in! FOOD: The chocolates were good but not the best. See's Candies in California is so much better for flavor and variety. But we did love the look of them and the options they offered. The ice cream though is next level. Never had anything like it with that hardened chocolate shell. And even though it was tough to get through, it was delicious. I couldn't finish even a small one! So don't go too big unless you're sharing. SERVICE: Everyone was super nice and the portions were HUGE. Definitely they do it right here. COST: The chocolates were too expensive but the ice cream was a bargain! Definitely would go back if I'm in Montreal.

I placed my order at the kiosk, then walked over to the left side of the store where there were large vats of melted chocolate, with flavors such as cookies and cream, hazelnut, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and red velvet.
