I see that people line up for this place, so the reason for long waiting, i dont see and taste nothing special with the dessert or churros that we ordered. Maybe there is no other dessert shop nearby? I see people having a hard time enjoying their dessert due to the bees swarming around tryna take a bite. Roadside parking only. Accepts credit/debit.

If you're craving ice cream during summer, this is a must to go! It's a very tropical ambiance as well as the flavours. The flavours are quite exotic and refreshing. The staff are great and really helpful when you're in doubt. Prices are fair enough. The good thing about this place is that they're open till midnight. Great for those humid and warm nights in Montreal and you need to cool down yourself.
I've been here a couple of times now and tried different items but I just don't find it truly memorable. The ice cream is great, the milkshakes are great, smoothies too, but they're all just ok. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here but it's worth trying. It's just not amongst the best places for me, but good news is it's also not amongst the worst.
I've heard so much about this place! And their infamous watermelon bowl I was very excited and most likely going to get a watermelon bowl. But when I went there and actually saw the size of it I decided I was going to get some thing else. The place is so cute very well situated on the corner of the street where the lights from the inside attract your attention. There's one wall with full of pictures neon watermelon sign pink couch and that really grabs her attention and really inviting. The service is very good and very nice.
We saw these IG worthy watermelon ice cream bowls on the gram and had to stop by to indulge before heading home! Sadly it melted pretty quick and the pics weren't as great since the assembly took a while. However the flavours that we chose were pretty good! The mojito flavour was dairy free and tasted like an actual mojito minus the alcohol. The tigers blood was dairy free as well with a blend of different types of fruits which surprisingly tasted really good. The mango colada swirl was also creamy yet light and delicious. I would recommend sharing this with minimum 3 people as it is ALOT of ice cream, candy and watermelon. Cute for the novelty and for the gram but a bit much as a regular dessert I would return for their regular ice creams though

Most ice cream shops close in the winter but some of us need our ice cream fix year round Their bowls are so instagrammable Definitely meant for sharing though haha Although I felt so healthy eating it that I could've had the whole thing as a meal Their churro sundaes are also so good
Even tho I didn't went inside, the place is so cute and colorfull! The ice cream is so good ! I took the vanilla with Caramel! Its tasty! The staff were wearing masks, and everything was clean, you simply ask what you want at the door and all you do it tap the card and take the ice cream
The vintage tropical decorations at @le_blueboy does a good job of promoting the idea of ice cream consumption, especially on a warm day. With some giant and very creative, photogenic, on-theme bowls, smooth, fuity sorbets and delicious sundaes adorned with churros (the large version) that makes the whole place smell like a beach-front bakery - you are sure to be refreshed after your visit. (like our Creative Directors fingers)
The decoration is so cute! It has a 50s vibe and has a nice atmosphere. It was really hot in the shop despite the weather outside. The frozen yogurt itself isn't that impressive. Since you pay by the weight, you can try out different flavors and have as many toppings as you want. Everyone is really nice!
Cute little ice cream place on l'avenue mont royal. The space is quite big & there's a few chairs & tables outside. The decor is really retro and so pretty. They have amazing flavors: the vanilla & mojito are to die for. My friend and I shared the watermelon bowl (watermelon filled with watermelon balls , 2 flavors of sorbets , vanilla ice cream & candies) so good and refreshing. I highly recommend.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy. Ordered a mangonada, mango milkshake, berry bonita smoothie, and mango ice cream. The mangonada was very good. The smoothie was tasty. The milkshake was not thick, more like a smoothie. Ice cream shop ambiance with a few tables inside. Nice staff. Near the Mont Royal metro stop. read more

On an unseasonably hot September day Blueboy beckoned me with the promise of delicious sorbet and ice cream to cool me down. You see as I walked by the business an employee was offering samples and after tasting one I knew I needed to go inside and cool down with their ice cream. First up I LOVE the 50s diner decor. It gives the place a fun vibe and they did a really good job with it. Now with respect to ice cream you can either choose from their menu where they have items like churro sundaes and floats or build your own sundae using the self serve ice cream dispensers and toppings available. You'll pay by weight for the make your own sundaes and if you're not paying attention it can get pretty expensive but the ice cream is good. The base of my sundae was a mango minto sorbet and a watermelon strawberry one. They were both really refreshing and I thought the mint complimented the mango really well. If you're in the Plateau then it is definitely worthwhile coming to Blueboy. It's a little pricey but you can totally justify the splurge once in a while. read more
I was craving frozen yogurt on a Saturday night at 9pm. After searching frozen yogurt shops on yelp, I find this place. 4.5 stars, closest, looks cute. Why not? Let's go! I walk here with my boyfriend and we notice that the outside of the building is super cute. We come in and I immediately feel welcomed. This place has such a nice vibe! Since it's our first time here, we asked what we should get and the man behind the counter explained their items and told us more about what they sell. They make everything themselves and they have such unique flavours of ice cream/frozen yogurt/sorbet! My boyfriend and I got the biggie (came to a bit more than 12$ after tax). You get 2 ice cream flavours and toppings. I wanted something refreshing, so I got the grapefruit and he got caramel sea salt. We didn't pick the toppings, they made the creation for us. We sat down at an adorable booth and soon after, someone came and gave us this huge bowl of amazingness! My grapefruit sorbet was incredible! Exactly what I wanted. Fresh and light. The caramel sea salt ice cream was perfect too. And the churro bowl was so fun to destroy and eat! Even though it was a weird combination (grapefruit and caramel sounds questionable, I agree), everything was just so good! I am so full, but I'm seriously debating whether or not I should spend 2,21$ and get a cone with only grapefruit. It was just THAT good! This place offers extraordinary service. The moment you walk in, you feel the warmth and the happiness shining through. I haven't left yet, but I already cannot wait to come back! read more
This place is lit. I simply love the decoration/layout, you can tell they put a lot of effort in making it stand out compared to the rest of run-of-the-mill businesses. Obviously I went with their soft-serve Chrurros sunday with Dolce de Leche and oreo. I loved the Churros (stating the obvious here....) but only found the rest of the icecream to be decent. A bit of a let down but it's novelty icecream and I loved it. Lots of options here, frozen yogurt, soft serve.... definitely worth experiencing. read more

I love everything about this place: the retro vibe, the funky menu options, the super helpful staff, the sweetest toppings, etc. The yoghurt/ice cream itself is ok, but the whole point is to add so many toppings that you can feel your stomach aching from too much sugar. read more

Stopped in while walking to the Metro with a sugar craving. Wasn't disappointed! PROS: * We tried the plain churros with chocolate -- amazing. The churros were light (enough) to where I didn't feel like I was stuffing my face with fried cinnamon sugar bread, but I got all the flavors from it * CA $6 for 6 churros!!! wild * extensive menu of fun drinks and other churros/sweets (churro sundae??) * interior is really cute -- unsure how to describe it. It's a fun mix between retro and quirky; either way, it'll be a fun mix to the classic modern/monochromatic coffee shop CONS: * chocolate sauce was $1 extra, but it was just a plastic cup of very liquidy chocolate; thought the churros would be dipped/something more permanent OVERALL: I would definitely come back for churros and to try more of their fun things! read more
BlueBoy is a fun spot. Nice decor, a very beach-y and relaxed vibe. The booths are nice too. The people working there are really sweet and helpful to first-timers (as we were). It's partly a self-serve place so you could just walk in, grab a container and start creating your ice cream or frozen yogurt masterpiece. For churro-based and other non-ice cream items you have to go to the counter. There are base prices and prices per weight and both are in the 5-10$ range for a fair amount of ice cream. Grab one of their loyalty cards by the cashier, 10 visits gets you a free item. read more

What's not to like? Many delicious flavors of homemade frozen yogurt in a really fun atmosphere. I stopped by during the Mt-Royal sidewalk sale and went with the salted caramel+popcorn, and a bit of rose water lemonade on the side. Heavenly! The only thing missing was the churro on top (no, not the cherry, churro), but that's my fault for forgetting to ask for one. I foresee a visit in the near future. Happy to support a local family business! read more

Blueboy was desert tonight! This parlour has a retro look, very lovely spot! The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. There are menu items suck as churro sundae, milkshakes, cones. Or you can make your own combinations with toppings and sauces! We took the churro sundae, it was very good, the churros were hot so it melted the ice cream a little to much, and they were a tad over cooked. I took the key lime ice cream, with crushed graham crackers and chocolate sauce, I know weird mix! But it tasted great! Try this spot, it's different from La diperie, chocolate favouris. It's rather refreshing! I will be back soon and I have to try that churro cone next time! read more

One of the best ice cream and frozen yogurt in MTL. Their churros sundae was simply amazing. Also they have plenty of flavours of frozen yogurt, sauces and toppings to choose from. Definitely going back to try everything else there. read more

Cute atmosphere, 1950s style. Was disappointed in the ice cream itself. The quality of the ice cream wasn't very impressive. Was hot inside the store. Pricey for the quality of ice cream. They charge by the weight. You can have unlimited toppings. Would try again and see if it was my choices that made it not so great. I tried chocolate and salted caramel ice cream with dark chocolate sauce, strawberries, graham cracker bits, oreo bits and reeces pieces. read more

Yummy in my tummy! I came upon this lovely diner-esque looking frozen yogurt place as I was strolling down Mont Royal. My, my I loved their froyo flavour and toppings. There were flavours (all homemade) ranging from mulberry to watermelon basil. They had classic flavours of chocolate and vanilla, but spiced up regular flavours like caramel to salted caramel corn. I tried their watermelon basil, mulberry, matcha (green tea) and salted caramel. My favourites by far were the watermelon basil and the mulberry. Now onto their endless toppings and sauces/syrups. I didn't feel saucy today, so I only get toppings. I got those fancy curly chocolate swirls that bakeries put on their cakes, raspberries, and minuscule chips of chocolate chip cookie dough. The whole combination was pure heaven! The price of the froyo was pretty typical; my order came to $6.50. This is a great place to relax and eat some dessert! Also a great place to have a mini photo shoot with their diner decorations! Tips: They do not have a rewards card yet! You can tell the cashier that you would like to start a rewards card and they will write your name on the back of the receipt and keep it at the cashier until they officially make stamp cards. read more
