After dinner, we walked a few blocks over to check out Iconoglace. They have a huge variety of ice cream choices, several vegan (made with oat milk). We dropped in on a Wednesday evening (around 8:00pm). The lineup was short (four groups ahead of us) but when we left 30 minutes later, the line was down the block. Service was friendly and helpful. There's a terrasse in the back with communal bench style seating. The menu is endless. Not even going to try to go through all the different things you can choose. - Molle maison ($6.25 regular) - lime & mango twist (without the tajin). Delicious! Refreshing and bursting with mango flavour. The texture was great. This was my favourite of the three twist flavours. - Le 420 ($9.25 végane) - vanilla and hazelnut twist. The hazelnut flavour was tasty. Toppings were plentiful a touch heavy. - Le blue velvet sundae ($9.25 végane) - strawberry banana and chocolate twist. Very plain jane. Tasted like a regular sundae. The fresh blueberries were the best thing. Go early or be prepared to wait at Iconoglace.

Yay, they have vegan sundaes! As many of their menu items can be made vegan, I keep coming here. :D They have refreshing floats as well as decadent sundaes for the sweeter tooth. The rich toppings can be heavy, but I still want to try them all. Their homemade cookie dough is so good, can't believe it's vegan!

I'm surprised to see i have not reviewed this place before. What i had last year was soooo delicious i came back this year but unfortunately it was off the menu. It was a coffee slush with ice cream float, so refreshing and delicious. I decided to get the next best thing an Affogato freshly brewed espresso topped with vegan ice cream.... Sooo good. They also have GF waffle cones which they make in the morning before the regular ones but cannot guarantee against cross contamination... i did not take a chance even though it was sooooo tempting. They have lots of vegan options, lots of different flavors. They have definitely upped their game since my first visit when they had just opened. Glad i have given them a second and third try.

**Trigger Warning : Unpopular Opinion** We have been to @iconoglace many times and have tried each time to review it positively since it seems to be so popular and ALWAYS full with loooong lines all day. But we unfortunately have given up. While still good ice cream, we consider it a sort of elevated DQ in that they sacrifice quality for quantity in every sense : Many options with many exciting flavours and toppings, all types of frozen dessert... And even giving you a giant portion and calling it a small. Some would say this is a "good bang for your buck" but we disagree. More inferior product is not higher value. Furthermore, the amount of common allergens is unnecessarily high. There is no reason to add some type of nut to practically half the items on such a large menu. You will find @iconoglace topping many lists of ice cream places but we do not put it in our top 5. Don't get us wrong, it's good. Just... Not worthy of the high ranking many people give it.

Delicious vegan soft serve! I've been wanting to try this place out for a while and now that I have I can definitely say it's worth a visit. Tastes so smooth and the flavours are crisp. I tried caramel and pear which was my favourite. Rhubarb and tonka which was very tangy and sweet at the same time. And their newest flavour was orange and chocolate, I couldn't taste the chocolate as much but it was still very good! I'll be back this summer for sure!

As the heatwave got hotter I knew it was time to cool down and get some ice cream. I knew I wanted to try something new and that's when I saw iconoglace which was only 10 minutes away from my house. I checked out the menu and was happy to see all sundae's can be made vegan which is great for people who have issues with dairy or vegan/vegetarian. When I saw a sundae with Natas and caramel in it I was sold. They also had the Mont Royal which had a whole oat cookie chocolate and both had the vegan vanilla ice cream. The vanilla ice cream was rich and sweet and the Natas and cookies were just as soft and delicious. There were plenty of other options that I need to come back and try. They also have a terrase in the back alley so you can sit and enjoy your treat!

Definitely worth the hype! They serve delicious and creative flavours of ice cream, with a signature sundae that changes every week. I was surprised when I came here on a weekday evening at 9PM and people were lining up outside. After tasting my sundae I understood why. The prices are on the higher end when it comes to ice cream, but I believe it is justified by the quality of the ingredients, the generous portions and the craftsmanship that goes behind each sundae. I highly recommend any ice cream lover give this place a try!

Peach and early grey soft serve (size small)

Finally had the chance to pass by Iconoglace after seeing lots of posts and hype about this icecream shop! I tried one of the soft serves made in house which was an earl grey and peach flavour! The flavour was pretty good, there was a hint earl grey and you could really taste the peach however my mind wasn't blown. I think the quality is pretty good however the price was a bit steep. When my bf and I were there service was quick, there was no line and people kept coming in to grab ice cream. The place was popping because of the nice weather! I would need to go back to try another item to really get the hype I think.

    Kombucha float
    Erika D.

I was really excited to try this place out since they had kombucha floats! I've heard of root beer floats and coke floats but never kombucha floats. Needless to say, the kombucha float was delicious! The best part is that there are three flavours to choose from and all of them were great. The ice cream was also super tasty and creamy. Despite being vegan, it had no taste at all of coconut (which makes me wonder what type of non dairy milk they used). It was creamy in texture and held the flavour of apricot very well. I've been told there are huge line ups for this place. When we went (right as they opened) there was no one there. Price wise it's reasonable and comparable to other boutique ice cream shops in Montreal. It's a little bit out of the way, a little bit of a walk from the metro station. They also took care to follow COVID 19 measures. The hype is real for this one! I highly recommend going.

Weekly Flavor: Lime & Mango w/ cayenne
    Sandy S.

This ice cream joint has so many cool and different ideas that I didn't know what to pick. And they all looked delicious! I ended up taking their weekly flavor lime and mango vegan twist with a hint of cayenne. And it didn't disappoint. Cant wait to go back to try other sweets. Like the Arruda sundae or the affogato or their kamboucha floats. So many choices so little time!!!

The chocolate ice cream on the other hand is super saturated (note the Dutch chocolate is the same as the sea salt except the salt). While I loved the ice cream, unless I'm specifically in the mood for something creamy, I actually think I would prefer to get the sorbets next time for the more concentrated gelato-like flavor. The matcha sorbet seemed like a winner, but they also have such a wide range of delicious flavors. They let you try some flavors, which is perfect for an indecisive person like me. And the servers are so sweet!

We first got a double scoop of the Orange and Arctic Fire Sorbets. I'm not usually one to get orange-flavoured desserts/drinks since I can easily get some old-fashioned OJ, but this Orange Sorbet was absolutely divine on the hot day. Sweet and tangy, yet not overpowering. The Arctic Fire was an interestingly sweet with a floral tone - I wish I remembered the main ingredient, but I was too busy indulging in my ice-cream/sorbet addiction. The sorbets were incredibly good. After we devoured them, we went back in immediately to try more flavours. My friend and I ultimately decided on the Mango and Passion Fruit Sorbets, both representing tangy fruits that we enjoy and love. The owner highly recommended the Cantaloupe to help us cool off, and proceeded to give us a free scoop on top of our packed cup! We were so appreciative of the free scoop, and I'm glad we got to try it out! It was my favourite flavour - it genuinely tasted straight like the fruit, just an ice-y form. My friend's favourite was the Orange. If you're in the Mont-Royal area, make sure to give this place a try! I wish we tried some of their ice-cream flavours, but we already did 5 different sorbet flavours that night. Couldn't afford a brain freeze! I think from now on, I'm gonna start trying Orange-flavoured desserts/drinks.
