Sitting at the bar for breakfast
Dan P.

The M Lounge at the Marriott was broken on the Sunday of our stay at the Marriott. So our choice was (i) hunt around Montreal on a cold Sunday morning for breakfast or (ii) eat Lloyd. We chose the path of least resistance. Hostess: slow Food: We ordered eggs Benedict. Waited 30 minutes and were served stone cold eggs. We sent them back instantly after taking one bite. No apologies by the staff, just excuses. Also, the potatos were way over salted. Service: exceedingly slow Overall cleanliness: average Ambiance: something between a bar and a modern cafeteria; in other words, lacking charm and no efforts to insulate customers from dish clearing and cleaning activities at the bar area

Chicken Caesar salad

Excellent chicken Caesar salad with generous portions - the chicken in particular was tender, juicy, and had a generous portion size.

This is located inside the hotel. We ended eating at the hotel a couple of times just because it's so convenient. It has a nice bar area and a good selection of wines (lots of California wines). The food was also good. Lots of different options and even an prix fixe menu, if you're into that. Would definitely stay at this Marriott again and visit Lloyd again.

I love this place. Always come back when in town. They have a great ambiance and the food can be made the way I like. The Ceasar was delicious. My son had the steak it was cooked to perfection (15 and he was happy ) lol that says a lot.

Had our Christmas brunch here, casual atmosphere, service was good, foods were fantastic. Brunch included lobster. Sashimi, shrimps, mussels, crabs, Beef Wellington, chicken, salmon, lamb chops, veal, Steak, assorted vegetables, cold cut meats, cheese, and countless desserts... You can also have bottomless mimosas for a flat fee of 40CAD. Just a note, they use good champagne for mimosas, and not pre-mixed. Price is on the $$$ side but worth it. Definitely recommend.

When I booked this restaurant I didn't realize it was a hotel restaurant. The menu just looked good. While I wish the restaurant atmosphere was less hotel, the food was amazing. My photo of the beef ribs didn't do it justice. It was served directly from a small table side bbq. Service was friendly, but I feel that for the price, it could have been a bit more professional, i.e., pouring our wine when the glasses were empty. This chef deserves his own stand alone restaurant.

Good Lunch prefix Menu - they have option of 2 course or 3 course for $41 or $46 to choose from

Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon

This restaurant is located within the Montréal Marriott Château Champlain hotel. This place was packed and we ate at the bar since there was no wait. I don't mind eating at the bar. The M Lounge had no food, so we came here. The menu is limited and the staff was really pushing the buffet, but I did not feel like the buffet. I ordered the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. I love eggs Benedict and I love smoked salmon. It took awhile to get our food, but no worries, we watched the news, drank our coffee from the M lounge and chatted with people nearby. Employees are all very nice. Our food arrived and my eggs and the sauce were stone cold. We requested for the food to be sent back. This is $26 and cold food not acceptable. The potatoes though were piping hot, so we ate those while we waited for our food. The potatoes were tasty but too salty. The food arrived and the eggs were warm and so was the sauce. The bartender said that they don't warm the salmon or the ham. I get not warming the smoked salmon, but the ham should be warmed through. Oh well, I am not the chef. My toast got soggy in he middle by the slightly damp spinach. The spinach on its own was bland and mushy. For only having 3 breakfast items, you would think they would nail it. For the price, this place is not worth it.

After a night of endless bar hopping, Mme Lee was the most recommended spot by our local friends to…read moregrab a night cap. I was already a little skeptical, but my group of guys had no interest in ending the evening. After seeing random youngins go in and out of this place, I wasn't at all ready to go in. We ended up spending a decent amount of $$ in drinks and stayed 2 hours too long. Some things I noticed along the way: * Weekend nights are understandably crowded, but overcrowding is another issue. This place had way too many people in way too small of a space. It was one giant mosh pit. * Service is weak sauce. When a group of 12 get several bottles, we expect a certain level of service. It's often difficult to get the attention of the bottle girls when they're off and about throughout the joint. Bartenders were not all that much friendlier and the people out front are kind of not-friendly. The staff's attitude as a whole was probably the most disappointing thing all evening. * Some interesting DJ'ing going on -- one minute it was bumping hip hop and the crowd goes wild, then it jumps to house music and fists come flying out, and then some kind of electronica and people start leaving in droves. Then it goes through a similar rinse-n-repeat process again ... is this for crowd control? * Crowd is generally young and good looking. No complaints here, minus the general dbaggery and agro types acting a certain way all over the dance floor. * Despite what I noted about the bartenders earlier, the pours are on point. Our drinks were made well enough to where it likely kept us there the whole time. * This place would have a super interesting vibe, at least decor wise, on a non-crowded week day.

We got bottle service…read more At the end of the night as the bills are being paid, I asked Dana the bartender for water. I was told no. Seeing this, my boyfriend asks her for water, she gives it to him. I look at her in disbelief and I ask again, she still says no. Not sure whats up with you bartender but that's not how you treat customers.
