I wish I had read some of the more recent reviews of this place before booking my appointment. The place is cute, but all the employees hang out in the back room giggling and gossiping. I was the only one in the shop and they eventually closed the door so I couldn't overhear all their personal conversations, but not for quite some time, which felt pretty unprofessional. I went in to have gel polish removed and a regular manicure, but the manicurist didn't leave the soak on long enough and there was still a layer of polish on all of my nails. When I washed my hands, I showed her that one of my nails had a layer of the half removed polish flaking off so she asked if I wanted all of it removed. (Yeah, that was the service I paid for.) She didn't bother to revisit the rest of my nails and did a sloppy job painting over the nail beds that were still partially coated with the old gel polish. My cuticles got no attention at all and I left with my hands feeling extremely dry. After her manicure, there's polish on my cuticles and the skin on the sides of my nails. The polish on my nail beds looks lumpy due to the residual gel left underneath. She didn't seem to speak much English, and when she finished, she just got up from her chair and walked away. This place is right near my house and I was hoping to make it my regular spot, but I definitely won't be back. read more

We came here as a bridal group with a reservation (4 adults and 1 child). I had sent a photo of what I wanted done to ensure they could do something similar, and make sure I would be with someone very experienced. They did a wonderful job with my nails (gel manicure) and everyone else loved their various services as well. It was nice they offer a complimentary drink and we also brought mimosas. They were very welcoming, helpful with the moms' curious questions, and kind to the flower girl. At first glance, Haven seems like a great place to get your nails done. It's definitely perfect for an Instagram pic, but not for an actual mani/pedi. I went 4 days ago and I am appalled at the condition of my nails. The main issue is that she cut my cuticle so badly on my thumb that it is still sore and actually started bleeding again this morning. I literally have a visible ledge where she ripped off part of the cuticle. She also didn't paint my whole nail (the sides of my nail hardly have any polish if any). She was clearly super rushed, even though I was early to my appointment. Their "Spa Pedicure" is nothing special. I really wouldn't be able to tell the difference between their pedicure and one that I paid $30 for. It really was just a basic sugar scrub, lotion, and a massage that actually hurt. $46 dollar plus tip for a 30 minute pedicure seems steep as I walk out of the shop this afternoon. I got the middle of the road pedicure, with the scrub but no hot stones. They do not have the typical pedicure chair set up, and being of petite stature and in a dress, I felt like I was flashing the poor pedicurist. My nails looked cute walking out. She did a nice job. I was just shocked to be seated at 4:50 and be out by 4:20pm. Update from prior reviewers-booking was super easy. I called, no wait, and arrived to a nearly empty shop. Tip- Ask for a beverage. I didn't know they offered it and I was parched. Upon exiting another customer entered and they greeted her nicely and offered a beverage. Apparently they offer it, just forgot me. Tip- I wore flip flops all night or went barefoot but when I went to bed 5.5hours later, the sheet left an imprint on the paint. 5.5 hours later and it still wasn't completely dry. When I initially looked into Haven, I was a little put off by the (in my opinion) high prices. However, one trip here and I can 100% say that the service here is worth the price. When I got here and checked in, I was offered a drink (uhm, free wine? Yes please!) and given a form to fill out. It asked what type of nail shape I wanted, if I wanted my cuticles pushed back or cut or both, etc. I was immediately impressed by the attention to detail. Chelsi was absolutely fantastic and I cannot recommend her enough. I was still having trouble picking a color, and she suggested I pick a few and think about it, offering color suggestions. She was easy to talk to and did a fantastic job on my nails. In fact, when it came time to paint my toes, I still hadn't picked a color (I'm the worst with decisions). Chelsi didn't just sit and wait; she took each color and tried it out on my toes so that I could make sure I was getting a color I really loved. I have NEVER had someone offer to do that for me and take that extra step to make their customers happy. New clients-I'm telling you-book your appointment with her. I've seen some reviews complain about lack of attention to detail. Granted, I came during a very slow period for them. But I was very happy with the service. Is there a massage chair? No. Is it the most in-depth foot massage ever? No. But I would rather pay more and get a quality pedicure than an extra 2 minutes of massage and toes that chip the next day. Bonus-they store the color you chose in their system each time you visit. This way you can make sure you don't repeat colors or if you want a certain color again, you can get it. I've only come once, but I know I'll be back. I came here with Kate G, who had made us appointments in the evening. They have a great selection of trendy and classic colors. Then, you are seated in a comfy chair and you soak your feet in a bowl. The nail aestheticians are all super nice, as we ended up chatting with four of them (rather, they joined our conversation about where to go have dinner after). For the basic pedi (which includes massage of feet and calves), I got a lot of attention to my feet, esp all the dry skin (since I walk barefoot a LOT). I'll try an upgrade next time, I think. I haven't had a manicure and pedicure in a long time where I felt like I got exactly what I wanted and paid for. I received The City Mani (gel)/Pedi(regular) and every step of the way I was asked if I was satisfied with the length, shape, and general aesthetic of the nail. It made me feel like I could give feedback if needed, which is always so uncomfortable for me if I need to ask for something. I didn't need to say anything wasn't to my liking though! Everything was great and I left relaxed with pretty hands and feet! 4 days, 2 plane rides, a boat/swim day, and countless diaper changes later...no chipping! The staff is very nice and accommodating. The place is very clean and cute. However, the skill level is just not there. I don't know if it was only my nail tech or what but she couldn't do an ombré French, then I wanted the mirror/chrome looking polish for French and apparently that wouldn't work, then I thought getting ombré glitter would be a safe call and no. I could've done this better myself. I even sent it to my best friends and they said a 5 year old could've put the glitter on the same way. There is nothing ombré about it. She asked me if everything looked okay and at the point in the manicure it looked fine. I thought there would be another layer at the very top to make the ombré effect but then she put on the clear polish and had me cure it. After continuously being let down with not being able to do the two other designs I wanted I just gave up and got out of there. I'm never going back here again. read more

Payia is my girl! I am a lifelong nail biter & now that I'm 30, I figured it was time to kick the habit once & for all. Payia suggested hard gels, which is an eco-friendly alternative to acrylics, plus it doesn't damage your nails underneath (I've had acrylics in the past & your nails grow out so weak!). I may eventually remove the extensions once my nails grow out to a good length, but I'm not sure yet. I LOVE my nails now! I've gotten quite a few compliments since I first got them done. Having just moved to Denver, I am looking to find a nail salon that I can go to fairly regularly. After seeing great reviews, I was excited to try it. My experience while in the salon was wonderful. Friendly staff, a great glass of wine, clean, and darling decor. I did a basic mani with gel so that it would last a couple of weeks. Coming from Dallas, I am used to dip powder or gel which last 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately, 5 days after I went there are already several chips in my nails. With that being said, and for what I paid ($38), I will probably not go back. read more

I really wanted to like this nail salon. I just moved into the neighborhood and it looked like such a cute spot. The atmosphere is great and everyone was really nice, however the gel manicure I received was not good. I also had to remove old gel (which they charge $7 extra for). My gel only lasted 1 week until it started lifting and chipping. It hasn't even been a week and a half and I have now peeled off the polish on my nails because it was lifting off on it's own. For paying over $50 for a gel manicure, I definitely expect better quality than this. I am really disappointed and will unfortunately not be returning. read more

Seriously weird experience. I walked in over lunch to see about their availability for a gel mani and pedi. After some confusing back and forth about whether I already had polish on they needed to remove the conversation went from "you can only get your toes done...to yes we can do both it will take about 75 minutes." I said ok let's do it. They told me to go pick out a color and after another ten minutes or so they were ready to seat me. Note that there is not a single customer in the shop at this point just my coworker who told me there were plenty of appointment slots as of late morning ...finally a nice nail tech came out and saw that I had the gel polish color choice. She looked concerned and said she'd be right back. Turns out they only had 25 minutes and I could get a "quick coat." Sorry but if I can do that at home. No thank you. Essentially I felt as if the place is pretty disorganized. If you don't have time for the service I want to pay for just tell me. I get it. I'll make an appointment online next time. But I felt they wanted to make sure they did something so they could take my money. I also spent around 20 minutes in there with nothing to show for it when I could have been enjoying my lunch hour. I've been coming here for a couple of months. I have seen a different person almost every time and each time I have had a great experience. I get gel manicures and pedicures (Sana does such a good job on pedis!). My finger nails grow super fast so I have to come in pretty frequently. My toes hardly grow and the pedicures stay looking fresh for a little over a month! The atmosphere is nice a relaxing as well. No crazy loud music or conversation. It's a nice break from work if you have the time to spend on your lunch break. I am usually in and out in less than an hour for one service. read more

This place is stellar! It's conveniently located for me, and I can walk there, but parking is on the street otherwise. I was offered complimentary wine upon arrival (score!) and everyone was very nice. I had a pedicure with regular polish for the same price as a lesser quality nail salon. Everything was clean, and you could tell it is a quality place. Be sure to ask for the "warm neck thing" (you can quote me on that"... it's a warmed, scented bean bag (I think?) that goes around your neck like a travel pillow. Man does it feel good! Cute place, but the services weren't great. I was so excited about trying this as it looks adorable. Modern, simple, and quiet, which I loved. The hot neck wraps during the pedicures was a really nice touch, and I loved that you got to keep your nail file. The staff were incredibly kind, and I really enjoyed chatting with them. But....my regular manicure left me with uneven nails, cuts on my cuticles, and polish that didn't even last two days. The pedicure also left me with uneven nails (there was one nail that was only half trimmed), and the polish started chipping after five days. I get that regular polish doesn't last nearly as long as gel, but this was disappointing. Overall neat place, but the services weren't worth the price. read more

This store was really beautiful and service was fantastic. Having a reservation helped me get straight in with no wait. The technician did a great job of making sure I got what I wanted and had me check the color after the first application to make sure I enjoyed the color. I got a glass of hot tea while getting the pedicure but they also had wine and water available. The seating set up was unique. You're on a raised platform in a reclined chair, not a massage chair like many places. I found it comfortable but was glad I was wearing capris and not a skirt. I really appreciated that they put the sandals on before painting the feet to avoid smudges. My gel manicure came out flawless. I loved what a perfectionist my technician was and that she never got polish outside the nail. read more

For the cost, probably the worst mani-pedi I've ever received. I was really looking for some pampering and received completely bare bones service. Everything was minimal, from the amount of water in the pedi bowl to the massage to the attention paid to my cuticles. My fingers went from peeling the day after the manicure ( I left the shop with a cut cuticle that was red and sore for three days) back to overgrown cuticles with not a day of looking great in the middle. I didn't feel relaxed while I was there because I was disappointed in each step of the service and I left feeling like I had just wasted my money. I am amending my review after being invited back for a complimentary service that was much more in line with my expectations. It was a good polish change but the girl that completed my change and manicure made two holes in my skin trying to remove my cuticles. I did not even have horrible cuticles but had two fingers that she pretty much drew blood on and putting remover and alcohol on was not the best feeling in the world. I only tried Haven for two reasons: they opened at 9 am on Saturday and I could book my appointment online. Maybe other people plan further ahead when they need a pedicure but I just suddenly look down and think yep, it's time. The space is really nice and all of the people were lovely. Great sanitation practices (like not re-using the files) and two weeks later, my toes are still shiny. Little details make the experience more posh, like how they keep track of the color you use (in case you want to get it again next time) and being offered a mimosa. There's a small amount of retail space as well with really cute bags and jewelry. read more

DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE ANY OF YOUR MONEY. I have never been treated so poorly at any sort of establishment in my life. My friend and I both had appointments for mani/pedi and the hostess greeted us with an attitude, mumbled instructions to us that we couldn't hear and when I asked her to repeat she was completely put off by having to repeat herself. She asked we had gel or shellac and when I told her I dId she laughed. The technician came over and asked us another question and when my friend asked her to repeat herself, she said "I said, are you ready?" When we replied yes she rolled her eyes and rudely said "well then let's go." I asked her if she was going to be rude the entire time she *rudely* responded, "um no, I was askIng which of you had gel." I was seated at a mani station while my friend was seated for a pedi. The tech then went into a bacK room and my friend and I noticed her talking to the hostess. My friend asked me if I wanted to leave and I said yes. My friend was nice enough to ask about a cancellation fee and the hostess said it was 20 dollars each. We said we were cancelling and the hostess ssaid she has to get the manager. We had no issue telling the manager how rude both of her employees were. When I told the manager the hostess had laughed at me after she asked me a question the wretched hostess had the audacity to say "I can't laugh?" No, no you can't laugh at someone who was prepared to pay over a hundred dollars to have to sit across from you and your repulsive attitude for over an hour. Sorry it was so off putting to have to do your job. So I promptly said we weren't paying to walk out on our service and we left. read more

It was a lovely experience! Polish was AWESOME & stayed so long they are almost growing faster than them chipping or dulling! So glad this trendy mod spot is a stones throw from my loft and can't wait to go back! They RUINED my nails!!! I've had manicures religiously for over 7 years and the women there destroyed my nail beds. My pedicure was fine but was underwhelming and extremely basic but then the manicure... she took 45 minutes with a weird tool, chipping away at my gel and nails! I had to stop her twice to say I was extremely uncomfortable with my gel removal. My nails are destroyed and looked so beat up like I was getting acrylic nails put on. She kept saying that my polish was just "so hard"... well I had my nails done there last time too so I have no idea what the problem was. Then she kept filing my nail beds down! I had to stop her again and ask why she was filing my nails so thin if there wasn't any polish on them... they are paper thin and bend now. There's an actual hole in my nail bed on my thumb from her filing it for no reason! I'm horrified that this person is even allowed to work on nails. I will never return here again. read more

I booked this for my friends bachelorette spa day. It was perfect! The bride and friends loved the funky atmosphere. The staff was friendly and great to work with. The ditzy receptionist couldn't answer any of my questions over the phone about pricing and treatments so I decided to come in person to check it out since I live so close by. At least in person someone working could actually tell me how much an eyebrow waxing was and what the treatment consisted of. $45 for a wax is a little outrageous, and I right away told her I'm going somewhere else. It was like I had been handcuffed to the chair because she was not letting me go. She insisted that their stylist is the best and has been featured in multiple magazines and photo shoots. It wasn't my wedding day, my eyebrows just seemed a bit messy and I wanted to clean them up with a simple wax. I had to leave the store by just walking out as she was still talking to me, which is rude I know but I had now spent about 15 minutes listening to straight bullshit. Even if their wax is the best in Denver, it's not worth being them acting like a used car salesman. There are many more professional micro spas downtown that are worth going to. (And they are nicer with less than $20 eyebrow waxes) read more
